No stuffy , nose in the air , prices hidden , can't be bothered with you attitude, Jane has always been welcoming with an absolutely no high pressure vibe. I've purchased several paintings from Jane's gallery over the years , and have posted a few of them here. Her gallery shows are always fun and educational. Also nice to meet some of her artists in residence at these get togethers. Jane has the patience of Job with everyone who walks through her doors and is always engaging and gracious. The artwork in the gallery covers a wide range of subject matter and their price points cover a variety of affordability that won't disturb your savings account or sensibilities . This year they had two master carvers and I was so fortunate to meet both! Bring cash and expect to barter some for your pieces. Most of the vendors were super friendly and helpful! There's also food trucks along the outskirts and a coffee truck. Parking was $10 so be aware in you're driving. I would probably not bring a wagon to this particular gem show but a good sized backpack would also do.

Fortunately, vendor signage has been limited to their spaces, and the sponsor had signs indicating which vendors were in the courtyard, ballroom, etc. Because this show is located on a motel property, there still are a lot of nooks and crannies. Ideally, you go in with a plan. Walking through, we saw plenty of gems and minerals, jewelry, singing bowls, and more. One vendor had lovely birds on amethyst (sold separately). Pretty and unique, though he shared that the birds are made in a factory. Another vendor had nothing priced so each item was 'negotiated.' Other vendors came from Finland, Australia, India, etc. We'll check the online vendor list and show map next year to decide what we want to see.

They always seem like family in their support of the artist showing work, and the work is multicultural as well. It's worth a peek in and 1st Saturdays is a great time to go.

It is small, but worth visiting for both the art's impact (which is often politically- and emotionally-charged; this isn't sofa-matching art) and its quality of execution. Keep an eye on the lovely web site, or the Tucson Weekly, for what's on display; each new exhibit has a theme. Workshops offer all kinds of interesting projects. I would love to see this wonderful little gallery thrive, because its focus-- art, multiculturalism, and community--are among the qualities that make Tucson so special.

I finally decided to bite the bullet and treat myself to some gifts from her online store. I was able to pick up locally in Tucson which was a nice bonus! She had an amazing garden of native plants leading up to her cute little shop. I've since bought many more products from Rosie for myself and gifts for friends. Their products make lovely gifts especially for those missing the desert. 10/10 would highly recommend!!

You can visit indoor and outdoor vendors…read more It's a bit of everything such as individual cabochons, gongs, beads, wearables, felted items, fine gems, raw rocks, fossils, Turkish lamps, snd more. Outside you will find the larger specimens worthy of a peek. Some of the rocks are larger than people and polished to perfection. There is an outdoor food court and portable potties. A UPS office is set up to send things back home. Free parking on site.

We've attended this show for years and have purchased multiple items from Village Originals. They don't have many staff roaming the floor, as it's primarily wholesale, but those you find are friendly and helpful. They have a very efficient checkout process and, if you've purchased a heavy item, help you get it to the loading area on the street behind their tent. We've found two beautiful amethyst cathedrals here at very reasonable prices. One vendor, Michal & Company, had animals from Therapeutic Ranch for Animals & Kids on hand. $5 for a photo with a goat in an Amethyst cave to benefit the non-profit. If jewelry and beads are your thing, there's a tent pretty much dedicated to it. Plenty of vendors with a huge selection of raw materials too. One of the best shows in town, for sure. We'll be back next year!
