Get your Amish fix here. Plenty of meat and cheese choices. My favorite is sweet Lebanon bologna, we can't get it at our local big chain grocery stores. Fresh vegetables, tired some honey onions, red and orange peppers to go with the bratwurst. Insider tip, look for the cheese and meat butt packages, these are the ends of the cheese and meat loafs that can't be sliced. These random ends are deeply discounted and it tastes the same as sliced cheese and meats they just don't look pretty. read more

One word: INCREDIBLE! This was my first time in a farm market. I heard about it from my sister and brother-in-law, who don't live too far away. While we typically go to a big box grocery store for our needs, they told me that this is THE spot for cold cuts/deli meats. And they were oh-so-right. My GPS directed me to a medium sized building off a country road. Parking was plentiful and the store was well marked with signage. It was indeed surrounded by farmland. The selection inside was fantastic. There were so many locally made and sourced treats. From fresh braked goods, through dairy products and produce, to the deli in the back. There was also basically any candy you could imagine :) Excellent pricing all around too. While everything looked pretty amazing, I had my eyes on the prize: deli meat for my little nephew who just started first grade. Gotta get quality items for him to pack for lunch! There was a small queue at the deli that moved quickly. There were separate lines for meats and cheeses. The folks who assisted me at the deli were very friendly and efficient. So much variety on the menu. After studying the available variations, I ordered one pound each of roast beef, ham, and turkey. They even have multiple options for how thin/thick to slice the meat - I opted for regular slicing. It came out perfect--not too think nor thin. Pricing ranged from $4 - $8/pound with roast beef being on the higher end. Extremely reasonable compared to the prices I'm used to and outstanding quality. A fantastic, unique, and memorable experience. Much recommended if you're in the area/looking for these types of good. Excited to return to try more of their cold cuts (especially the sweet bologna), cheese, and other local offerings! read more

I came for Sweet Lebanon bologna and left with so much more. Yutzy's is a must stop in Plain City. It was packed in here this morning with a 20 min wait for the deli counter. The quality of their meats and cheeses along with their low prices makes it worth the wait. The rest of the store carries a variety of local canned goods, candy, spices, vegetables, meat and dairy. I bought oatmeal whoopee pies, and caramels in bulk packaging which is so much cheaper than retail packaging. Amish grocery stores rule. Great place to stock up on your favorite Amish foods, without making the long drive to Amish country. They have the same cheeses, meats, popcorn, dry goods, sweets, and spices. They also have a large bakery section and a small produce section. On a Saturday afternoon, they were running low or out of a lot of baked goods. Yutzy's is right down the road from The Cheese House. It is a larger space but they have similar items to The Cheese House. They do have more chocolates and candies available. When I walked into the market it had an odd smell. They also have a deli counter. The girls working behind the counter were really nice and helpful. They have a small children's play area. Months later time for another trip to Yutzy's. Just as awesome as the first! Great stuff from fruit, veggies, homemade breads and pastries, all for low low prices! This time I stocked up on huge cinnamon roasted pecans, homemade swedish fish, chocolate peanut butter, meat and cheeses and dried kiwis. All excellent, staff is very nice, worth the trip every time. First of all consider looking at a map before using your navigation system. Our navigation system took us on a scenic route getting us off of Route 33 way too soon. Personally I would put this place at maybe a 4.5 because there were some areas, like baked goods and bulk goods, that had far less than I expected. But I was here for the deli department. The prices are very reasonable. They have one deli meat and one cheese on special each week. But alas this week, they did not have what I wanted on sale. (I had been hoping for provolone). Yutzy's is a considerable distance away from us so I was going to "load up". You are able to order in advance at an easy to use website. It says you have to pay cash, but a quickly answered email to the store, says you may use credit cards (just not Amex which was too bad because Amex is giving credits for small business purchases). I placed my fairly large order Saturday night for pick up Monday morning. I love smoked cheeses and there is nothing better than a dinner with cheese, crackers, apple and a big glass of wine. So I ordered a few smoked cheeses, one of them was smoked horseradish which had some zip to it but was not too horseradishy. I added a couple of pounds of cheese ends because not only do I like the price, which is about a third off), I like the surprise of getting a wide variety. Plus you can always use them in mac n cheese. They were out of Canadian Bacon which I did not know until I went to pay for my order. That would have been a bummer if my LONG drive was just for that. But this time I wanted Lebanon Bologna, lots of it...shaved. Yes they will shave your meat (no wisecracks) but be prepared that someone may get lazy and a third of your order may be sliced thin. I like mine shaved because if feels like I am eating more. Even though we arrived 40 min after pickup time, that was not ready. Incidentally, you get anything you preorder at the cashier, where it is kept in a bin refrigerated. We also got some corn beef. I wish I had got more. I had rye bread, swiss cheese, thousand island dressing and wonderful Trader Joe's s sauerkraut....Rueben! Very nice. There were some sauces one of which I bought, Bourbon glaze. I will try that on ribs. Wandering the store, I saw bison steak, ground bison, beef and chicken. The supply was adequate but this is not a Giant Eagle Superstore. Prices on these items seemed slightly higher but it likely is a better quality. I would like to try the bison and the beef. There are various jars of fruits and vegetables that are tend to be in an Amish style market. No red pepper relish so when I run out I am headed to Hershberger's in Amish country. They had the usual supply of bulk candies etc. Tons of different flours????! And there were a few frozen dinners in a brand that I am not familiar with. I was more impressed with the fresh fruits and vegetables and jams in the red barn beside the store than in the store. Corn looked fresh but was pricey. I just did not need anything today. Leaving we took 42 north. Don't. Around Delaware there is a detour, a big detour (sink hole older than the pandemic) and since you have the lake, there are no short cuts. Yutzy's says that it is "worth the drive". It is, but if you are driving from the far east side of Columbus, look at a map first and "load up". And if your order is large ($70) and has shaved meat, plan to arrive late and even then you may wait a while. read more

Worth the drive from Columbus! Pricing for most of their deli items is between 20% - 40% cheaper compared to pring at Kroger and Meijer. The quality is very good as they attempt to source most of their items from Ohio. Their sale prices are very low and you can stock up and freeze the lunch meat for future use. This store is also a lot of fun to shop and browse through as they have a wide variety of food, treats, baked goods, candy, produce, snacks, drinks, and dairy. I'm a guy and I love going here to get my beek sticks, trail bologna, and horseradish cheese! We usually walk out of here with some essentials as well as some fun stuff and treats! Plain City is a nice little getaway from the big city and Yutzys is a must when visiting there! read more

This is the best place to buy Deli Meat and Cheeses in Columbus. I drive 20 minutes to this place and it is worth it everytime. They have a nice selection of meats and cheeses that are for traditional lunches. Don't go there looking for gourmet cheeses. I grew up with Amish/Mennonite heritage and I hate most of the Amish tourist places but this one is well worth it. I would recommend going earlier in the day, because if you go in the last two hours they are out of numerous meats and cheeses. I also enjoy getting some bulk supplies, granola, and fresh veggies. Their prices for corn and veggies isn't great but usually of decent quality and locally farmed. They also have some pretty good whoopie pies (not quite as good as my moms). read more

Each week, they have one meat and one cheese on special. Their regular prices are still considerably lower than in a grocery store. Additionally, Yutzy's has seasonal produce as well as other staples such as rice, noodles, popcorn, seasonings, chips, and other snack food. There are also fresh local baked goods. I stopped here after reading their great reviews on Yelp & so glad I did. I headed straight to the cheese counter for a bag of cheese ends & they had 1 bag left. At $2.95 lb, it's a great way to try many of the different cheeses they sell. They also offered me a bag of shredded cheese ends for the same price which they said would be great for mac n cheese. I snacked all the way home on the various cheeses - delicious! I also bought several fresh vegetables which were priced at or below what I would pay at the grocery store. I have been to Yutzy's farmers market close to 100 times and have never checked in which makes me sad! This place is the best! I wish every city in America had a Yutzy's farmers market. The stuff you get here is through the roof some of the best and best tasting! No where else in America can you get cheap quality lunch meat cut off the bone to however you like it cut! You can get ham off the bone for $4.99 per pound, honey turkey $4.99 a pound and some amazing cheese selections such as Munster, swiss, American, and more! They have over 100 different meat and cheese selections! Also, they have the best and cheapest bacon in the area! All is packaged right there for you! If you want meat or cheese expect to wait in line for 20 to 30 minutes on a weekend. If you go during the week it's less busy. This place also has amazing fresh produce! Tomatoes, sweet corn, cucumbers, potatoes, apples, peaches, and kale! You name it they have it! They also have amazing local Jelly and Jam, apple butter, spices, seasonings, spreads, and so much more! And, they offer a huge selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables. If I were to complain about anything, I would say that they should offer Hemisphere Coffee. I was visiting my brother in Plain City so my wife and I decided to stop in at this place. I had been to this place only a few times and that was several years ago. We pulled up and saw a bus full of senior citizens sitting in the parking lot. Fortunately, they were leaving so the place was not as packed as I expected. I would say this is the best bulk food store in all the greater Columbus area. I have a similar bulk food store in my area with a larger selection of goods, but I'm giving this 5 stars because I know this is the best in the area. read more

Well it says a lot when I tell you I drive from Westerville to Plain City several times a month to get fresh fruit and veggies, deli meats, deli cheese and other assorted things. The prices for the meat and cheese are awesome and they always have weekly specials. You know your getting really good quality because most of the meats and cheeses are from right here in Ohio. They grow most of their own veggies and fruits so you feel safe in the knowledge that it was grown right there. The corn is out of this world and one of our summer staples. I currently live in Nashville, TN but when I'm home going to Yutzy's is a must stop as I can bring the goodies back home with me in a cooler. Every time I go, there is friendly staff behind the meat/cheese counter ready to go and a great selection of product. You can't beat the prices either. My "must haves"are the off the bone honey ham/Swiss cheese, the large cinnamon jelly beans, pepperoni sticks, .75 brownies, and my favorite which they only carry around major holidays are "Granny's sugar cookies". Their a lil pricey at $7.00 for a tin of cookies but oh my goodness are they worth it! read more

Don't get me wrong, I love the place. SO much to choose from and great quality. However, their meat and cheese line is a bit confusing. especially for someone who has never been in there before. You naturally go to the first people you see, who are the meat people. If you ask for cheese they say go over to the cheese counter, sometimes in a very snippy way. But there could be someone in the meat line who is also getting cheese and if you go around them, they get mad! Most of the folks in the line are nice but some, even the workers, get a little smart if you look like you don't know the routine there. That could turn off a first time customer. Maybe better signage at the meat/cheese counter. read more
