He knows how to talk to the kids but also calls them out if they're being distracted or inappropriate. He's very understanding of the younger kids, he doesn't expect them to do much when they're new. The only rule is once you're off the mat, you need to stay off. I like that the class is only 30 mins long because my son tends to lose interest in things fast, even if it's things he likes. Coach has the weekly curriculum posted on the wall which I appreciate since I have no idea what the skills are called The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish there was more space. The mats are fine but the area where the parents sit can get kind of full. He has a shelf of snacks and fridge of refreshments as well for purchase. You can also buy the Gi there and other Jiu jitsu apparel in kids and adult sizes. I can tell it's already giving my son some form of discipline.

Went to their wedding...Had many birthday parties among the various kidlets over about 10 years. Both are loving dedicated parents themselves, and I know Robert worked hard to master the craft. So simply based on the content of their character alone, I would entrust my young fledgling kidlets to them for training. The location is very well lit and clean. Even has an overflow area where kids waiting for pick up drop off or just siblings can sit and do homework or amuse them selves coloring or playing computer. Like all things the Goodlows do, they invest their entire being into making it perfect. They love being a part of a receptive and family oriented community and will definitely work hard to meet your or your kids needs in their journey to martial arts perfection.

As a stay-at-home mom, the schedule makes it easy to fit training into our busy routine. I also love that I can bring my kids. Sometimes they take their own class, sometimes they just color and hang out with other kids while their parents train. This school is incredibly family friendly and welcoming. Another thing I'd like to add is the youth coach program. There are occasionally a handful youth coaches on the mat with the professor, and I love that my boys get the opportunity to observe bigger kids helping others and offering guidance as they train.
