I've driven past a few times and today I'm delighted that I stopped to try them out. It's breakfast o'clock and there is table service so take a seat and someone is right with you. They get it right with taking a coffee order right away, do I look like I need one? Well I did need one and lucky for everybody it was made promptly and delivered with a smile. Today I chose the Big Breaky Burger. I find it hard not to give these a try everywhere. I noted on the menu some additional ingredients that you won't typically see. This burger was clearly of a higher class. When it arrived (which was surprisingly quick, I guess they are quiet today, but awesome) the presentation was pretty eye catching. I blurted our something stupid and incomprehensible to the waitress. What I meant to say was "that looks awesome" and "thank you". Let's cut to the juice. The coffee is great, smooth with no bitterness! The bacon is delicious, maybe a light smokey flavour and crisped to perfection. The burger is made on a fluffy brioche bun as it should be. The avocado was generous and had a slight lemon flavour like they cared for it delicately begins the scenes. I love this place after one visit! I'll be back, and I'll bring other people. In a way it seems to be one of those places that indicates that Reservoir is slowly but surely being bitten by the hipster bug. However, being tucked away down in the back streets means that it can be a little difficult to find. Anyway, seeing it, and doubting that I would be down here again any time soo, I decided to pop in for a coffee. Well, coffee was pretty cool, but I also have to mention that Darth Vader was also standing in the middle of the room. I'm not sure what he was waiting for because he was there when I arrived, and I got my coffee before he got anything, so I'm still a little baffled. However, as a coffee spot it wasn't bad.

Just FYI, there isn't a ton of room for larger groups so if that's something you're planning on bringing, maybe consider another place. Or stop by Thirtyfold anyways, the people here are nice enough to figure out seating for you. We didn't order any food, as we were just looking for something caffeinated and sweet to tide us over until later. We settled on an assortment of small sweet bars as well as some lattes (Prana Chai and Magic) and everything turned out great. Well, maybe except for the Prana Chai which was kinda bland, surprisingly. The drink seemed to be made up almost entirely of milk with none of the spices and flavors that you'd expect from a Chai latte. At least my Magic Latte was great; the milk was so dang creamy - straight up wizardry. Other than that, the sweets were delectable and big enough to share but not so big that you're looking for to-go boxes. All the Thirtyfold employees were super friendly too, all eager to answer questions from a bumbling tourist like me. Overall, Thirtyfold is an easy recommendation for a relaxed coffee date, a quick sugar fix, or a weekend brunch.

Ordered a pizza and wrote in the comments I did not want olives. Pizza came with olives. Pizza was very light on with toppings and very ordinary. Lamb risotto was fine. Restaurant did not answer the email comment on menulog which now won't allow me to write a review. Review is now on trip advisor and other places. The meal arrived when it was supposed to but such a shame two of the meals were not what I wanted. Total lack of professionalism not responding to the menulog comment. Would not order from here again. Plenty of better Italian places in the area. It appears the restaurant changed owners recently and is not what older reviews say anymore.

A while ago I heard about a cheese shop which was located in the industrial area of Thomastown but…read moredidn't know what the name was and didn't know where it was.......until recently at one of the stalls at the salami festa I tasted the most delicious skewer of Buffalo boconcini, cherry tomatoes and basil, drizzled with Italian olive oil and balsamic. I picked up a brochure and discovered it was "That's Amore" located in Thomastown! That's the place! They don't just sell cheese here either. If you love beautiful Italian cheese - imagine fresh tubs of ricotta & tasty pecorino, delicious ricotta canoli to have with coffee, or fancy mouth watering porchetta in a crispy bread roll, like those you may have tasted in a Perugian town in Italy, then you should definitely visit That's Amore.

Sitting outside is our favourite here. It's generally quiet enough to enjoy the trees surrounding the outdoor area and the feel of the old style bakery building.
