My mother has been at FVB Independent Living for over seven years. We've been happy with her care…read moreand the facility. There are plenty of activities and the facility is beautiful. I would only recommend FVB if you protect your loved one and have an attorney look at your contract and beware of any promises. My mother was invited by Freedom Village to enroll in their "hardship" program in 2023. She went through their vigorous eligibility program and was approved. Both the facility and Corporate approved her request. She was approved again the following year and was granted additional funds. To our shock and dismay, after an audit last year my mother was told that she had to repay the funds and they increased her monthly payment substantially. They blamed the issue on us and took no responsibility for their change of heart. They changed the rules two years in and we had no standing due to a clause in the contract. They threatened to sue us if we didn't pay by the end of the year. Since we have so much money and time invested in this place, we have no choice but to keep my mother there.

My physical therapist that came to my house, Keesha Vassel- Ford, what's phenomenal! It was very frustrating not being able to do everyday tasks and she helped me get through it. She gave me confidence that I did not know I had. She treated me with the utmost respect and at the same time it was like she was a friend that I've known for years. She need my recovery so much better I'm so much easier. Anybody who would have her as her as their physical therapist is very very lucky
