We went in and the fitting rooms were closed because they had them filled with boxes of clothes and when we went to try our clothes on, the employees gave us terrible attitude and didn't even offer to do anything to help us. I love Zara's. They originated in Spain. The 1st time I went to one was when I was in Barcelona. They don't have one in Syracuse so it's a treat to go to this mall and shop here. Their kids' clothes are so cute and trendy. The sale section here was small but I think it just depends on the season. Zara's is like an upscale H&M or MNGO. Their prices range a lot but you can find great deals here when you shop the sale section. Their women's clothing is always on trend. I like that their sizes fit shorter folk like myself. They also sell men's clothes, perfume, shoes, purses, and other accessories like belts. They're located upstairs in the mall. It's smaller than half the other Zara's I've been to. read more

Great place to shop. Prices can be expensive but its worth the quality. I normally don't buy unless there's a sale going on. Staff members are friendly and very helpful if you have questions. Its also two stories big and provides a huge men and women section. read more

Terrible! Only one register is open for the entire gigantic store! Even men section which is on the different floor has its register closed. Even if you really want buy something be ready to stand in the line of 20 people. Is it really worth it? Nope! I'd rather go shopping else where. Zara at Crossgates Mall is AMAZING! Where to begin? Zara's customer service is world class. Each stylist makes you feel super comfortable by asking questions, helping you find your size and giving recommendations on how to style your outfit. They are all passionate and know what they're talking about. Zara has a style for everyone and they have an incredible layout on the floor. My experience at Zara was absolutely amazing! I received a warm greeting upon entering the store and I was lucky to find a passionate and wonderful stylist named Marcus. I felt like I was getting ready to rip the runway. He was very dedicated to my quest in finding fabulous clothes for my summer vacation. I felt amazing! He is great and I highly recommend anyone to shop and Zara's. Not only that the clothes is great but the staff there are amazing and very helpful. Love the styles and products at Zara but their staff is not friendly and they usually only have one register open with long lines while other staff available. They need to put more staff on registers. I will try to do all shopping online to avoid wasting time waiting in the future. read more

Cashier did not want to honor price listed on item, kept explaining why until manager came and of course honored it. Returned item next day because all store policies are to HONOR THE price and we should have never experienced such horrible customer service especially from someone who has no authority. Last night, I visited this Zara to purchase an outfit for my wife. I brought the items home, she examined my purchase and she asked me to return them, as she had recently purchased a similar pair of pants and she didn't prefer the style of the shirt. Tags intact, clothes never worn, I attempted to return the items the following day, in the original bag, to the exact associate that I purchased the items from the previous day. Mind you, that I'm a frequent customer to this particular store. I misplaced the receipt between last night and tonight and I offered for them to pull up my transaction via the credit card used to make the purchase. They told me their system was unable to retrieve a transaction from last night using the very credit card used to make the purchase. I let them know that sound like a systems problem that had nothing to do with me. The first associate that I spoke with continued to flex her stop-words "unfortunately" and "no" as she repeatedly told me that she was unable to reprint a copy of my receipt for me. I was never offered a copy of my receipt digitally last night when I made my purchase. You would think that in today's day and age, every customer would be emailed a copy immediately of their receipt. Companies like Apple which have great customer service, do that in order to eliminate unnecessary paper waste and to be able to proactively manage situations like this. I then spoke to a manager who also was very well versed in the art of "no". After her telling me what the policy was, that I could exchange items that my wife didn't want for the same exact items in a different size, I asked to speak to her manager, as that was an inappropriate solution. She towed the company line and was not concerned with the outcome that best suited me as a loyal customer. She gave me online customer service. I called and spoke to a third associate who had then was unwilling to do what was right for me, the customer, and issue me a return or an exchange. The third telephone associate named Magaly, refused to transfer me to a manager, refused to help me reprint a receipt, refused to assist me with a return or exchange as a customer service gesture and then placed me on hold for 25 minutes when I asked to speak to her manager. I was told that she was the highest ranking manager to assist with issues of this nature, which was untrue, as she then transferred me to Antenise, a "colleague" who was also unwilling to help resolve this issue. Zara as a whole should be ashamed of their customer service and their dealings with loyal customers. Also, can we just talk about the fact that there are eight registers and only one that is ever functioning? They ask you what type of payment you'll be using...like, who cares? A cash register is a cash register. You should be able to process a transaction with any associate at any terminal, when you're prepared to check out. Not to mention the unfriendly associates who rarely offer assistance, but are more than willing to dole out plentiful amounts of free side-eye, following you around the store making you feel like a criminal while simultaneously giving you "I'm disinterested in helping you looks"...I've been to various Zara locations around the US and the world and this is by far the worst run in the corporation I've ever visited. If I could rate this Zara less than a one star, I would. With associates and customer service like this, we'll see how long it stays open. read more

I absolutely love Zara, but this location is a mess. I am 8 months pregnant and I came in with my husband looking for a men's suit. Zara has reasonably priced European cut suits for men but can definitely be a bit on the trendier side and they have a habit as to not clutter the shelves so a lot of their inventory may be in the back. As my husband and I are debating on the different colors, I turn around and see this big ole black security guard hovering. I assumed he was rotating so I went back to telling my husband what to do. We move over to try on a different suit and the security is pulling a Ludacris "When I move you move. Just like that." I try not to let it bother me and we were in there for another 10minutes, I had to sit because I'm pregnant and was getting tired and directly in my line of sight is the security guard hovering and making direct eye-contact with me. I looked at my husband and was like "let's go before I make a scene" because if you truly thought I was a stealing, what you and the other lazy ass employees could have done is asked if I needed help instead of shadowing me. I will just order online and I'm hoping they close down this store. read more
