I started looking at what else I may be able to use or as a point of reference to let someone else know what they have in store. The service is top tier and it shows. I was nicely greeted and waited on. I didn't see what I was looking for so I asked. Just giving a fare chance and to avoid going elsewhere. Someone came from the back to find me a foot spa. Words mean something.. I was asking for a foot pan so they placed the foot pan and a foot spa on the counter and let me choose. I will most definitely be back to shop here because I saw a price for an item that was $21 and I paid $39 . The value and prices are more accommodating here. For the record!! I do recommend Hollis Drugs & Surgical Supplies. WHY? They have affordable prices, good quality product, and very good customer service, but the important reason is, availability. When they changed owmership a few years ago we were worried the great customer service might change but they continued the committment to the community and to affordable and quality products. From the front staff to the pharmacists, they treat everyone with respect and take their time to help you find what you need or they'll order it for you. My wife and I both got our booster shots and flu vaccines there and they were great about the whole process. It's a small pharmacy but they do their very best to make you feel welcome and address your needs. And a shout out to Tarmati for always being so kind and helpful whenever we come in. But the few who have had bad experiences can't wait to post about theirs. Take these reviews with a grain of salt. Jeff is a very nice man and tries hard to help people as best he can. I have had a scooter, or multiple scooters, for over 10 years and have been to Gem at least four times during that period. I have been there for repairs and for purchases. Granted you might pay a little more there, than you would if you purchased on the Internet, but you would have your scooter or wheelchair right there on the spot. You wouldn't have to wait days or weeks to get it. Isn't it worth a couple more dollars to have someone explain using it to you rather than opening a box and knowing nothing. And the products he sells are all quality products. How can someone expect him to take their off brand low quality product make them into something they're not, for a couple of dollars. Yesterday I went in for a repair. After Jeff pointed out to me all the things that would have to be fixed, and the cost of each of them, I decided to purchase a new one. Yes it was an upsell. But it made sense. He showed me all that he would have to do with my scooter and it would still be an older scooter. Now I have a brand new one and I'm very happy. As I said, I have owned almost the same scooter for about 10 years, and yet Jeff was able to show me features yesterday that I never knew my scooter had. I couldn't get that from a box placed in front of my door. For anyone on the fence, give Gem a chance. They are a very reputable company and everyone there will do the best they can do to help you.
