I recently hosted my mom at my apartment while she recovered from surgery, and I was able to get pretty much everything we needed (bath tub safety handle, bath mat, transfer bench...) in advance from Homepro Medical Supplies. We also rented a recliner chair for the month, which was super comfortable and absolutely clutch for recovering post-op, along with a tall "hip chair". Delivery and pickup were smooth & easy (especially notable since the rental chairs were delivered just after the Feb snowstorm!), and everyone I spoke to was kind, helpful and professional. In November, I had hip replacement surgery and rented a hip chair. The guy I spoke to was professional and they delivered the chair on time, it looked brand new (I wasn't home when it was delivered) with comfortable cushion and they picked up on time when I was done. David, Walter, and Leo were incredibly helpful, speaking with me on the phone numerous times, never seeming impatient with all my questions, willing to make various changes and solve problems -- without ever sounding impatient or frustrated. Quite the feat, I know I was a difficult customer! They also made arrangements and took extensive time and went out of their way for us in numerous ways. They went not just the extra mile but the extra hundred miles. They also had a wide range of excellent products related to a hospital bed and mattresses. I ordered a wheelchair for my mother who hurt her foot 2 weeks prior to vacation online. I wAs unable to sign the contract as we were in the airport and flying but the staff was accommodating and had the wheelchair available at our hotel when we arrived! I had such a lovely and helpful interaction with the people here. My grandmother was coming home from the hospital on Friday and I called them Wednesday afternoon to see if we could rent a hospital bed from them ASAP. Initially they told me they couldn't deliver until Tuesday, but quickly retracted and said they'd try to make it work. They quickly called me back and said they'd fit in the delivery the next day. I found this business on line. Their pricing was terrific and when I got my package (sooner than I expected) I found that I had paid low price for top quality product. Seriously, WTF? I'm calling around trying to rent a scooter for my mother who is now unable to walk around, and this guy tells me it's not worth it since though I need one for two days, nothing is available for today, so it's not worth their time to rent one out tomorrow. The effort is not worth it for this company. Hell, didn't even offer say, a premium rental price. Didn't offer ANY options. So, if you're vacationing in NYC & you think anyone might have an accident or anything else, you better think ahead to cover all your bases 'cause this company, at least, isn't interested. In her nursing home my mother sat for hours in a one size fits all wheelchair. The short seat made her slide forward and have back pain but the facility said it was fine. I went to Homepro Medical. David's ideas for a larger chair and cushion were exactly what was needed! For other reasons at the facility I didn't get my ideal solution. I needed a motorized wheelchair for my grandmother and David allowed me to come to the warehouse with her and to test different models out. Was visiting New York and had a hurt foot, needed something to help get around. Yelp found me this place that was close by and had good reviews. It took a little bit to find it, but once in there, we were helped by a very nice lady, exotic name, Saphira?...anyhow, she was totally helpful and showed us different alternatives as a standard wheelchair was too heavy for our purposes. The price was affordable and the whole process was great. Would definitely do business again, although i hope that good health will abound and there will be no need for a wheelchair on our next trip to NYC!!! =) read more

Fabulous place to do business with. My husband was unable to sleep in a bed and had great difficulty in getting up from a chair after having surgery. Homepro Medical Supplies went out of their way to deliver me a chair within a few days. They could not have been nicer or more understanding. The chair was ordered on Friday and was delivered on Monday morning. I ordered the infinity lift chair and it is extremely comfortable and easy to use. The person who delivered the chair set it up where I wanted it and spent time showing my husband and I had to work the remote control. Again an extremely nice young man with much knowledge. I would definitely recommend Homepro Medical Supplies. My only advice is if you know someone who is having surgery, order the chair in advance. When I first called, the wait was 1 week for a delivery. I was fortunate when I called back several days later that there was still 1 chair available fir the Monday pickup. After a weeks long search for the perfect power lift chair/recliner for my husband, whose surgery was fast approaching, I was anxious about finding a quality retailer to order from, and nervous about getting the chair in time. I placed the order on a Saturday morning, and on Tuesday morning (Monday was Memorial Day) received a call from a very professional staff person who verified that I had indeed placed the order, and informed me it was in stock and the expected arrival date to their location. He noted the possible delivery date range, and the next day called to say it had arrived and could be delivered as soon as the next morning. I had chosen the white glove delivery option, which was a pleasure to have also. The delivery person called at the start of the 2 hour delivery window to let me know he was about 10min away, and showed up very soon after! He was friendly, polite and careful as he maneuvered the chair pieces into the house, put it together, pointed out some functions, and removed all the trash. The whole process took about 15 minutes. I rented a transport wheelchair from Homepro and it worked out perfectly.
