Been to this place a few times now and it really is hit or miss even with it being fast food. Out of the 5 times we have been 2 have been good. Fries never seem to be fully cooked and the chicken tenders are usually just warm no matter what time of day. Line moves pretty quickly and customer service is the usual in fast food. Normally I like Zaxby's but this would one of a few orders that I ordered delivery with drinks and extra sauce and am missing one of my drinks and all of my sauces. I don't have my car right now as my husband has it at work and I can't get a refund on the missing drink or extra sauce and I would have to drive the 3.5 miles to pick up what is missing from my order. Decent food. First time I went there and the line wasn't forever long !! I live down the street. When I came to the window my wife happened to txt me and asked if I could get her a side of cheese curds. I only stopped to get my kids a snack. They told me I have to drive around just to ring in another order (1 side of curds). And that don't take orders at the window. Placed an order online. When I arrived at the designated time, and called the restaurant, they told me to get in the drive through line. The line was wrapped around the building! What is the point of ordering online If I have to go through the drive through? I won't be back. I DON'T recommend this place. I should have driven to Toots on Broad Street. Better service, same prices, bigger portions. My order totaled over $21 and in that I should have received 10 strips, but I received 8. The upside, the food was at a good temp and tasted good. Me and my wife went here, and boy was that a mistake. Look, it's difficult to say this, but there seemed to be an atmosphere of reverse racism in this place. I don't say this lightly and I'm not a snowflake that gets their feelings hurt easily. The food was just OK, but I needed more sauce. I paid over $10.00 for a meal and got ONE measly pack of Zax sauce. I went up to the counter and asked for some more and they promptly told me it was an additional 25 cents a pack. I explained to them that I had bought quite a bit of food for just one pack of sauce. The lady at the register seemed to understand and started to give me a couple of extra packs. Just then, one of her fellow employees flat told her no and stopped her! I was astonished! I told them that the food was bad and the service was awful and i would never come back there! My little family doesn't really frequent American fast food joints. We've been "blessed" by food allergies that generally keep us away, but from time to time we go, knowing generally that we will have to carefully navigate the menu. Taco trucks, holes in the wall, or grocery store delis are more our speed when we want it fast. So, we've never been to Zaxby's. I vaguely know they serve fried chicken. I had a sense they are somewhat ubiquitous so I was banking on commercial success to give us at least passable fast food. So, my boys and I thought we'd give it a try. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, a Zaxbys Club, a plate of tenders and hot wings (the hottest recipe they have), and a small side of fried pickles. The tenders were served with Zaxby's sauce and ranch sauce. Note that there is egg in both of these sauces. They were meh. Waxy. The highlights: Crinkle fries. Decent with a sprinkling of some house spice. The space aged Coca Cola drink dispenser. But the wasted ice! It needs to be calibrated. It shoots out an enormous amount of ice. The fried picked were a greasy clump with gooey half-cooked batter in the center. They tasted like there's been fried in old grease. The bread is white, so soft, and toasted but it wasn't butter toasted. Instead, it was slathered in prep and I still can't get the waxy feel of it off my tongue or the fake greasy smell of it off my mind. When will the FDA finally ban that nasty stuff? It's what makes fast food so gross and smelling all the same--depressing. Overall, the food was breathtakingly salty. My tongue feels scraped and raw even now about 6 hours later. The quality of the chicken--not bad. The breast in the sandwich was juicy but salty. The tenders were juicy, but salty. The wings...made me sad. Overcooked and the much hyped spice was so lame. We are in hot chicken country. If you advertise it's crazy hot, then be sure to make it that way. I'm not sure where you can get good fast food fried chicken in Murfreesboro, but it's not at Zaxby's. I'd take Publix's deli fried chicken over Zaxby's any day. In fact, I think Publix's deli fried chicken is delicious. So disappointing. We won't be back to Zaxby's. read more

I went inside to exchange it, but a woman behind the counter was in the middle of an argument with two customers, which delayed the whole process. Also just really upset with the poor service and the quality and time put into the making of my food. I put in an online order and went to the store to pick it up. The lobby was closed unfortunately, so I had to wait in line. The drive thru staff were very friendly! I got back to my apartment and unfortunately, my order was partially wrong. Usually, I would just shrug it off as bad luck, but I decided to call and let the restaurant know that my order wasn't right. Dustin went above and beyond to make up for my order being wrong. I was only missing some coleslaw, a chicken tender, and some extra fries, but he remade my entire meal and added some extra chicken and cookies! Nothing out of the ordinary. Only real complaint is how horribly oriented the drive thru is. Usually the last person that ordered is blocking you until someone up front gets their food. It's ALWAYS backed up. Be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes unless you manage to get there early. read more

I have been going to this Zaxby's for a number of years but I will NEVER go back to this one again. After having two people ask me for my order at the same time, one of the order takers was very RUDE. I asked for a garden salad. She said what kind, Caesar, blackened, etc. I said I only wanted a salad with lettuce, croutons cheese, she said "I know what a garden salad is" but do you want a Caeser, blackened etc. I said, forget the salad and then waited for my food. I paid at the window and then she shows up and asked me didn't I understand about the salad. After arguing with me I asked her to please just give me my food or ask the manager to come to the window. Just went to this location and was very disappointed. The drive thru was very backed up so we decided to go on to get our food to go. Mistake. First of all, it took almost thirty mins for two meals to be prepared. Secondly, they gave our food to the drive thru customer who had to come in and inform them that he had received the wrong food. (Mind you, the guy who had received our food had to stand and wait for a good 4-5 mins before being acknowledged). Once we discovered it was our food, we had to wait another ten mins for it to be made. All of the workers were goofing off and not paying attention to what they were doing. I love Zaxby's but this location needs a little TLC. I usually just get drive thru and I've never had any problems. Decided to dine in on a Saturday night after MTSU graduation. Maybe that was my first mistake. It was pretty busy but it was mostly just people standing around waiting for their food. When we finally got around everyone we realized no one was actually in line to order. We stood in line for a good 3-4 minutes with no acknowledgment of any kind. The cashier was very apologetic when she finally realized we hadn't been helped. We ordered boneless wings and the Cajun club, both with fries. Food was okay, typical Zaxby's fair. My biggest complaint besides the ridiculous confusion with the line to order/stand around for food situation was the drink station area. They offer a Coke freestyle machine like many places are utilizing but both the machine and a separate ice dispenser were completely out of ice. This was never refilled while we were there, despite the large amount of people in the store and the acknowledgment by staff. I'll just stick to drive thru for this Zaxby's from now on. read more
