It's cheaper than other places. Clean. Friendly staff. No waiting. I always leave with a smile on my face because of the prices.

Still normally cheapest fuel in area. Filled up for $60- must have not needed much! After being stuck in traffic and construction for quite a while, went inside to use a restroom. Inside seemed filthy. Restroom had an out of order sign that looked like it had been there for years. read more

Zazz is known for 2 things: cheapest gas in and around Sterling Heights and their "same price for credit/cash" policy. They still have possibly the cheapest gas around the Sterling Heights area but its adios to the "same price for credit/cash" policy. The gas stations is bigger than average gas stations with an oil change spot located in the premises of the gas station and a car wash right next door to it. If your looking for cheap gas this is definitely the spot to fill up. read more

Years ago I liked this gas station out of convenience due to location to my house and the same price for cash/credit. Now I really cannot stand this place and will go out of my way to go to a different gas station. I know a lot of the local gas stations have different prices for credit cards vs cash but I don't understand why- that is part of doing business in this day in age. But that's another rant since that isn't unique to Zazz. My particular problem with this location is the other patrons. Everyone is always rude and they way the pumps are set up it makes it difficult to see who is next in line with the 2 driveways and it turns into people thinking someone stole their pump. I have heard multiple people say they have been charged incorrectly from here, seems shady. My boyfriend paid with credit inside and had the same charge show up on this account 3 times. My aunt filled up here, gave cashier $50 and the cashier said she only gave $20. The last straw was this situation where I may be dramatic but oh well. Filled up at pump and paid by credit. While pumping I see I can save $1 or $2 on the car wash next door if I purchase the car wash ticket inside Zazz if I also purchased gas. I go inside to buy the car wash after my gas finished and was told that I had to pay cash for that discount. Again being penalized for not having cash. Nowhere on the signs did it state this stipulation and had I known that I wouldn't have waited 5 minutes in line to be told no-go. read more

Zazz has dropped the "one price cash or credit" policy and is now charging roughly 6-8 cents more per gallon for credit/debit. Once they were consistently the low price leader, but even considering the cash price this is no longer so; the BP station on the corner of Mound and 15 Mile is now giving Zazz a run for their money. There is never a squeegee nor cleaning solution available to clean your windows as you fill up, the trash cans seem perpetually full, and the gas pumps are frequently out of paper to print receipts or just plain out of order. I know everyone has been saying that it has low gas prices (which it does normally), but if you pay with your credit card WATCH OUT!. I was suckered into the same mindset. I bought gas there twice in the same day with my credit card and got a call from the credit card company soon after for unusual charges. The gas station charges you an extra fee (at least $1) to use your CC on their machines. In the long run, they end up making more on your surcharge. In the end, you are still paying the same amount as you would be at any other gas station. Do not be FOOLED when you use your credit card. The MAIN reason I give this place this low rating is the patrons of this gas station are extremely RUDE. It is not uncommon to see massive lines at this gas station, even overflowing onto 15 mile road at times. When I lived right around the corner this was a massive headache for me, and anyone driving down 15 mile. However, the people who were waiting had ABSOLUTELY no sense of order or "etiquette". I've seen people nearly run over when someone waiting on 15 mile road who clearly was not next in line for a pump cuts in before anyone can get there. I have seen this many times, and then when you approach them about it they act like it is your fault and that you did something bad, if they speak English at all. This has happened many times, not only to me, but to my parents and friends that have used their services. If all you care about is price...pay cash and you'll be fine. I don`t understand the people that complain about Zazz charging more when you use a credit card. All gas stations do that. I have been going there for years & never been over charged or given the wrong money back. They are still the cheapest around. read more

We used to go to Zazz in Sterling Heights too, until they followed the pack and decided to charge extra for using a credit card. When they first raised the prices I went inside to the register and asked to speak with either the manager or the owner. I just wanted to get a first hand explaination as to why they felt they should now pass on a cost that had never been passed on to the consumer by the oil/gas industry until the recent recession. Now, I know that the oil industry has been making record profits in the last few years, so they can't be pleading poverty. Gas usage did decline in the United States for a while, but it has risen back up to normal, yet you don't see any of the gas stations removing their extra charges! There was only one person working at the time (supposedly), who feigned that he couldn't speak English. Of course I was there to basically complain, but you're not going to convince me that anyone would put someone on the register, alone no less, who didn't speak the "language of the land" so to speak. I realize that I haven't been in a gas station or party store in years that wasn't owned by someone who spoke English as a second language, but at least most of them have an adequate grasp of the language so as to be able to communicate enough to run it or work there. That meant that this employee was being discourteous (i.e. he was lying!) to me as a customer. If that's the way they treat their customers, they don't get my business. It's that simple! I've now been getting my gas at Speedway stations, which so far is the only chain I'm aware of that doesn't charge you extra to use your credit card. They're also among the lowest priced gas around, and have a "Speedy Rewards" program to boot, that saves you more money. They also have extremely polite and friendly employees! read more
