    Steamboat Park Campground - Wow!

Perfect. Cleanest bathrooms in any campground I've been to, so clean I decided to use them. Incredible riverfront views if you can get one do it. Very friendly staff/ownership. Work on the road and Cell service was good to great from both T-Mobile and AT&T though AT&T got spotty during the middle of the day. Playground and pool kept the kids entertained all day

I tried to explain that I was not aware of any extra charge for car charging nor was it in any of the park rules that I received. He didn't care even when I explained that my car gave me an error code that my starting battery had a power drain and possibly would not start, and I would unplug at that time. My family and friends have been camping at this park for almost 10 years but there has been a change in management " the captain retired, we steamed last fall with him what a great guy, he will be missed" I definitely don't like the new nickel & dime extra charges and probably will be looking for a different campground.

    Wabasis Lake Park Campground

We really enjoy visiting Wabasis! The beach is clean and usually not crowded. (Also it's free!)…read moreThey have several nice play areas (at least 4) for the children and rent pavilions for parties. There's a fantastic "Lodge" type building with a full kitchen and bathrooms up at the top of the hill that can be rented for weddings or large family reunions. They offer volleyball areas, kayak rentals and camping spots. You can get spots where you can park with water and electricity, or you can get more primitive spots where you need to hike in. Most spots have a cement fire pit. It's very family friendly with a nice little store for camping supplies, shirts or frozen treats. There's a nice, clean bath house and Port-a-John's for people who don't mind using those. For people who don't like campers or tents, Wabasis offers cabins and a cottage. The cottage has four bedrooms, a well stocked eat-in kitchen, living room, TV, rowboat and a bath. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds, one bedroom has two twin beds and one bedroom has a single twin bed. Someone could also sleep on the couch, and we have even had kids sleep on the love seat. The cabins offer two bedrooms, with a small kitchenette/couch but NO bathrooms. The cabins are clean and spacious for a family of four. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other offers two sets of bunk beds. There is a couch in the cabins for an extra person. Both the cabins and the cottage are pet-friendly. We enjoy camping and have camped at Wabasis with tents, and our camper. In the fall we usually rent the cottage or a cabin, depending on what's available and have all the kids and grandkids come for a long weekend. There are trails to hike, fishing, and boating.

It's a nice area to bring your family, not really a party site if you are looking for that. They…read morehave kayak rentals, rowboar rentals and a nice beach with a decent size playground and nice hiking trails, The porta potty were really gross but other than that had a great time

This is a little gem of a campground that's pleasantly filled with comforts and modern amenities. The campground itself is very small, but it's quiet, & has a steady body of water. I will be staying here again. I spent the weekend sitting in my hammock and enjoying hearing the water. 5/6 of the cabins face the water just as an fyi, so it's like a private paradise. The town of SoHa is really fun too and a great place to wine, dine, & explore. The cabins are basic and rustic with one plug in to charge your electronics. There is one light in there but it does get dark at night. Bring a nightlight. The queen bunk beds are great and comfortable. I would say more like 2-3 people could comfortably sleep in a cabin due to space and the cabins get hot at night! There's showers, there's toilets, there's cabins- oh my! The showers run on a unique token system. 1 token=$1=3 minutes of hot, private, shower. Tokens are purchased on site. the showers are game changers because they're open 24 hours with cameras outside so the owners monitor who goes in/out and your safety. As a queer person, I felt comfortable & safe at this campground.
