I just had Bourbon Zeigler redo my bathroom, and he did a fabulous job. He ripped the tiles off the wall, built out the walls, skim-coated the walls, installed some floorboards, and painted the walls & ceiling in my bathroom. Now, the walls have a smooth finish and look wonderful. He even painted a couple of doors for me at no charge and cleaned up after himself when he finished working. Bourbon is friendly, honest, reliable, organized, and very meticulous in his work. I can't say enough good things about all the work he did to make my bathroom look brand new. I highly recommend calling him if you need someone to paint your apartment. read more

Update 12/11/11 - Six months later, Mr. Zeigler has updated his response to my review. Originally he wrote an apology which I accepted, but now he's saying that I've somehow confused his business with someone elses. Just because 6 months have passed, it doesn't mean you can rewrite history. There is no confusion about what happened; you, Bourbon Zeigler, were totally unprofessional and blew off or forgot our appointment. Trying to make it seem like I didn't know I was dealing with is just insulting. Original Review 6/6/11 - After discussing a painting and plastering job on the phone, I set up an initial walk through appointment a week in advance. Unfortunately, on the day of the appointment, Mr. Zeigler was a no show. When I called to find out where he was, he didn't remember the appointment and said that I should have reconfirmed with him. He never mentioned this requirement during our conversation; I simply thought making a appointment was making an appointment. If it was so crucial for him to reconfirm he could have called or texted, but he didn't. He just forgot we existed as soon as the phone disconnected. When I asked him if he could still show up, he said he was too far to make it and was already involved in another project. So despite our prearranged appointment, he probably had no intention of showing up and honoring his commitment. Or he just forgot. Either way, really lame. I found the entire experience to be very unprofessional. We're talking about a job (potentially) for thousands of dollars, not odds and ends. Seems to me that he just didn't take the whole thing seriously, which, if you ask me, is not a trait you want in a contractor. read more

Bourbon is a wonderful and HONEST guy. He did a beautiful job with the interior paint for my condo, he is a skilled and professional painter, and did I mention HONEST? I work hard to run a small business, and I see this in Bourbon. To be the secretary, accountant, service provider, etc... all in one is no easy task, and Bourbon genuinely makes an effort to be great at all three. Bourbon Zeigler did a fantastic job painting my apartment. We talked ahead and he went over what paint he recommended and what the additional cost for another room would be. He showed up right on time, and by the time I was home for dinner he had completely repainted my four room apartment with absolute precision. I would never hire anyone else to paint my apartment ever again! Bourbon Zeigler did an INCREDIBLE job painting my apartment, and charged me a very reasonable price. He truly did twice the job I was expecting for what I paid. He was honest, organized, professional and did a truly beautiful job. I called multiple other painters and all of them quoted me at least DOUBLE what I ended up paying him. He even helped me change the light bulbs in my apartment and painted an additional wall (and a half) at no extra charge. bourbon zeigler canceled our first appointment at the last minute. i figured i'd give him the benefit of the doubt so i agreed to set up another appointment. for that appointment, he did not show up at all and didn't even bother to call. i called him to see what happened and i never heard back from him. not good business! i was looking to get get my place painted quickly and this ordeal wasted two weeks. buyer beware! read more

We just had Bourbon fix our walls and paint the majority of our apartment, including walls, ceilings, picture frame moldings, door frames, and base boards. We couldn't have been more pleased with his work. He is meticulous, trustworthy, and an incredibly skilled painter. He spent the first three days he was here just prepping the walls to make them look like new again- fixing holes and cracks and skimcoating to even everything out. He primed and used two coats of paint on the walls, did all of the woodwork, and ceilings. He worked alone and did everything himself- even took everything off our walls and moved all of our furinture to the middle of the room and then put everything back in its place when he was done. We grew quite fond of him a lot, as he is a really nice guy. His price was completely fair and we felt lucky to have found him- thanks to Yelp. He buys all of the paint himself and leaves it with you when the job is done. He's flexible and easy to work with. All of our friends are now jealous of our walls. We will certainly call him again when we are ready to paint the bedrooms! read more
