Had our home exterior painted in April 2020 and was really happy with the experience and end result. I've gotten several compliments about the exterior from friends and family because of the stellar paint job. The project manager was very responsive and attentive. When a couple of concerns came up, he addressed them quickly and ensured we were satisfied with it. The crew was professional, quick, and very skilled. We have a stucco house with wood trim, and I appreciated the expertise in the painting techniques used to paint those surfaces; it all turned out great. We had the exterior of our house painted by Paris Painting in 2022, and our 3-year warranty with them just ended. If you need something painted ASAP, they will get the job done, but if you want it done well I'd recommend finding one of the other well-rated painting businesses in town (they often have waitlists in the 1-3 year length!). We had purchased a home that was overdue for painting, so we had to get it done in 2022, and they did an adequate job at the time. Like other reviews have mentioned, Paris isn't a very detail-oriented company. The workers who were sent out to prep our house didn't know it had lead paint, so had to be reminded to take precautions with laying dropcloths, wearing masks, etc. (This happened essentially every time we had someone out to work on the house over the three years we've worked with them.) People have repeatedly come into our yard without warning to look at the site, one time leaving our gate open so our dog escaped. During the main work, the project manager was rarely on site. Hardware was put back on our house upside down (house numbers and shutter hardware). Workers often didn't know which colors went where. Once the paint was "finished" we had to call them back once if not twice to have someone come out and catch places that were not fully painted. But by the time they were finished in 2022 the house looked good! In 2023 the house still looked okay, but by 2024 the paint had begun to bubble and peel, mostly because the prep had not been done sufficiently. We had Paris out to look at the house in 2024 and they did a little bit of touch-up, but only in the very specific places I pointed out, and even missing a few of those. The places I pointed out were supposed to be examples of the overall issues. In 2025, with our warranty running out, we had them back out to do the touchups. Again the first time workers came out, they only addressed a few of the specific places I had highlighted, even though the majority of every exterior wall was peeling and needed work. Eventually I took 20+ photos of the most egregious issues and those were addressed. I can't remember how many times we've had someone out this season. We weren't fully satisfied by the final visit, but decided we'd had enough of dealing with them. I'm sure we'll continue finding issues-- we recently discovered that workers caulked our garage attic access door shut (?!) without us asking them to, so that had to be cut open again and damaged the paint once again. Basically, if you hire Paris, be prepared to serve as your own project manager. Without our repeated follow-ups the work would have been a 1-star or 2-star quality. Our painting crew and crew chief Tony, and our carpenter Toby, were helpful and meticulous in ensuring everything was repaired, primed, and repainted to our satisfaction. Toby even showed us how to internally disassemble the exterior sliding-door storm windows we have on a back sunroom, so that in the future I can better monitor and touch-up the external windowsill and vertical frame paint to prevent the need for window replacements over the next decade. The painting team's semi-gloss paint brand was matched well to our metal trim color and designed to guard against the Minnesota elements, while Toby's cedar woodwork was solid and precise -- so we're optimistic that Paris' 3-year work-quality warranty won't be needed to call them back into action. We appreciated the comprehensive and detailed estimate they provided for their carpentry-repair and painting, and their willingness to ensure their work was good quality and capable of indefinitely maintaining our house windows' and garage trims' structural integrity. read more

Great experience with Paris Painting. They power washed and did exterior painting. We dealt with many different people and it was amazing how seamless the handoffs were. When someone was supposed to call they called. Everyone was on time. A painter had missed an area and I called in the afternoon. I got a call back five minutes later and a crew was at my house at 7 AM the next morning to fix the issue. The work looks great. I liked the estimate process. They came out and discussed the options, then presented an estimate that included the cost of the work we needed along with a listing of possible options we were considering. The whole process was quick and efficient. Everyone I dealt with gave me confidence they were enthusiastic and sincere about wanting me to be happy. Good people, well run business. My mother has made a post below, but I feel it's time I speak out on my perspective. I would never in my life use this company again. As someone that struggles with depression and anxiety they have heightened those symptoms within the past month. We bought a house that needed a little work and was given comfort by Mike that the painting was taken care of. After them rushing the paint job the first time and doing a horrible job, we allowed them to come back a second time (holding us back 2 weeks now from our estimated move in time) because of this company I had to move into a construction zone which is horrible for my mental health. My mother has yet to be able to move in. If you have any sort of mental health issues don't believe this company and don't use them. When the painters were here, and we were not living in the home. We would come to check on the job and there were 2 instances where they had knocked our GAS stove on enough to leak gas to the point of me smelling it when I walked in. They also left items on these stoves as well. This company should be quiet grateful that my mother has only left reviews (though the quality assurance guy implied her to take them down) They also consistently used our bathrooms leaving us with out toilet paper, soap, leaving the toilet run (which living here I'm confused on how that even happened), and quiet frankly leaving it a complete mess. If they did not have Angel at the company they would have not come back for round two. He is very sweet and knows how to calm down a situation. Even though round two broke a 200 dollar item and still did not do that great of a job. Don't promise things you may not be able to uphold, that's just it plain and simple. In conclusion, I don't like being behind on projects when it's not my fault, they added to my mental health issues, if you want things done fast or even just right don't use them! Also, thank you Paris Painting for ruining my Christmas/ Holiday's I now get to live in a half empty house and not have my family or friends over. Save your money there's better companies. read more

I love this company! They've painted the exterior and interior of our house, and the work has been wonderful for both. Sam and Andrew did interior painting--two rooms and a hallway--and the job was excellent. They showed up on time, were professional including making suggestions to shorten the job, cleaned up everything completely. I should add that they squeezed the job in when we suddenly had cancer surgery scheduled--they got it done ahead of time. Would not use or suggest this company again. Mike, the sales man, over sold this company and their abilities. I was told under a week. Two weeks later and two different crews later, living in chaos. First crew didn't do two coats of paint. Didn't paint the ceiling properly. Mike promised crisp lines. I still don't have the crisp lines I was paying for. Painted wood work, etc. didn't fix the ceiling patches the way Mike said they would. Second crew came in and while they did better or so I thought, I have now found more wooden doors with paint. A broken closet organizer that the first crew painted around/got paint on it and the second crew decided to remove, breaking the anchors and other plastic pieces. Had to remove the entire thing again, fill holes, and then purchase 80.00 of paint to repaint the closet. In the end that closet alone cost 280.00 to fix what they did. They did offer to come back, but after two weeks, two crews, and numerous broken and painted on doors, light fixtures, etc. I am done with this company. All I can say to you is beware! I think they normally do exterior painting, so they have no idea what they are doing interior wise. Since we weren't moved into the house yet, we didn't find everything. We are still finding things. update- I was contacted by this company after giving my review. They were offering me money off due to all of the above. Went into speeches on how this is not the norm. What did I feel was a fair price, to which I said I felt that the amount I had already paid was too much for what I received. I am still cleaning and fixing things. Nate told me how much my review was going to hurt their company. He repeated that so much that I said I am not removing my review if that is what you are trying to get at. He said no, But I now know how they have so many great reviews. I didn't budge on that subject as I feel people should know the truth. He also went into a song and dance about how in Minnesota they have the right to fix the problem. I said you already came out to fix it and did a horrible job and broke things. That was the second chance. How many chances do I need to give your company. He didn't say much after that. Today I received my final bill for almost $4,000. Basically they hardly gave me any money off for all of the problems. Bet if I agreed to pull this review I would have received more off. Bottom line. Use this as a warning. Paris Painting did an excellent job painting our one-story stucco home, siding on the detached garage, the front door, and repainted our existing shutters. Was it the least expensive estimate we received? No. BUT they were the only company that we spoke with that came out to our home and spent a solid hour speaking with us about options, what we wanted done, and then walking the exterior of our home. Their estimate felt the most complete. Their painters were professional, courteous, and completed the job quickly. I was particularly pleased with the shutters repaint - I had been nervous about it. The painter and installer of those did an excellent job job and made them look like new. read more

The painting itself was fine. The problem was that one of the two major reasons we chose this company (and paid more for them) was because they claimed that they followed lead paint removal protocols. They also claimed to be certified to do so, although I later looked them up and they weren't listed as having the certification, at least where I found to look. The prep team did not contain lead paint chips, and they got everywhere. They used a tarp one day, then they shook it out on the front yard. We ended up vacuuming our yard which (a) not effective and (b) seriously, I'm vacuuming my yard? The workers also had no PPE. This is not a case where it wasn't really lead paint -- it had been tested all over the house. The difference between the sales pitch and the reality was sad. If the lead control thing is not a biggie to you, go for it. I'm old enough to have grown up with kids who had permanent brain damage from lead; there are laws on it for a reason. read more

I never give a 10 because I always think there is room for improvement. Our painter Jose arrived early and stayed until 5:30 - 6 pm for the first 2 days. On the 3rd day, he arrived early to focus on the final touches then he did a remarkable job with his clean-up. We are extremely happy; he did a beautiful job. I learned about Paris from a neighbor's yard sign. After checking several reviews, we called them up, they answered, gave a quote quickly and on time, and walked me through the process. Their project manager called with plenty of time to discuss our needs, showed up on time for the job, same with the painter, and finished on time. They did a great job prepping the old wood bead board, smoothing other holes and making everything look great with the assurance of a 3 year warranty. I've never written a review before but I feel like I have to. Avoid this company. They blanket the neighborhood with advertising and then just don't honor the advertised rate. You think the quote they give you honors the rate only to find out later the advertisement is essentially nonsense. We were quoted for and paid for a much bigger job than what the job turned out to be. Wish they'd just dump the bogus advertising. They tried to upsell me on a 2nd job before they started on the 1st one. They're fast at billing & collecting. The crew did a perfectly ok job. It was a huge bummer and honestly I'm bummed out that I feel compelled to write this, my first negative review ever. read more

1.5 stars. The experience painting our house was not professional. The communication from this company from every aspect is lacking. The first day I came out and noticed the painters were painting parts of the house the wrong color. They also had a lot of questions about what they were supposed to paint... I explained everything hat had to be done to multiple people, but they couldnt figure it out. Paint the house one color, paint the trim another color, take off the storm windows and paint the window sash a different color. That's it. The next day they were painting our storms windows, which they were supposed to take off, the trim color. This company hires a painting contractor and I don't think they have any painters on staff. The contractors were blaming Paris and Paris was blaming the contractors. There was very poor communication throughout this process. They left and I was calling them asking if they were done. At the end the house looks much better, I'm doubting the limited prep work will last more than 3 years though, so I'll give two stars for the improvement. Oh and they also have an answering service instead of an employee answering the phone and the answering service is terrible. I had to give each person I talked to my name and number multiple times. I called and told them I'm a current customer looking to speak to an actual employee of the company and I get "so are you looking for a quote?". No one ever returns a call. read more

The most thorough, professional and caring group of people we have worked with on any project here. They painted our entire house, including windows, trim and deck. Jason was patient and very helpful in the selection and color choosing process and the crew (especially Dustin and Mike) were meticulous about getting everything right. It is a 26 year old house, being that old and having some areas totally peeled and others with multiple layers of paint, there were areas that required more prep (scraping and/sanding) than quoted. They were more than fair and reasonable not only on pricing, but on quality of work. The spindles, underside of deck and the inside window and trim painting were all add-ons to the original quote. We had a great deal of window repair done that necessitated that the interior be painted. They did a great job of color matching and getting to it promptly. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paris Painting to anyone for interior or exterior paint work. They are genuinely great human beings as well as good at what they do and we enjoyed having them around. read more

The job I hired Paris Painting for was to replace/repair siding as needed, then prep and paint the exterior of the house. Imagine my surprise when checking the progress halfway through to find they had painted over everything before any parts had been repaired or replaced. They basically used fresh paint to disguise areas that should have been dealt with properly. When asked, they came up with a flimsy excuse of timing/scheduling, then eventually dismissed this legitimate concern as "that's how it's done". Makes no sense at all. Their website states "All Painters are Thoroughly Screened". For my exterior painting job, one of their "thoroughly screened" subcontracted painters entered my home, got paint on my hardwood floors, and walked past a hallway bathroom. Then made their way upstairs, past another hallway bathroom to walk completely through the master bedroom to use that bathroom instead. This violation of my personal space made me feel unsafe. To add insult to injury, they didn't even bother to flush. Disgusting. After reading this review, if you're some kind of daredevil still willing to risk your hard earned money hiring this sloppy company, get every little detail in writing. Every single thing. In my case a verbally agreed upon solution was later met with "he never said that". In a "he said/she said" situation, they have no qualms about implying that their customers are lying or confused. Our Paris Painting crew just finished an interior painting project for my wife and me. We couldn't be happier!! We had a few other painters come out, over the past couple of months, and could barley get a quote from them. We contacted Paris Painting last Friday. They had a very nice guy quote us the following Monday. It's was a very fair quote, so we agreed to hire them that day. They had a crew here that Thursday and finished Friday! This was not any easy job (vaulted ceilings, color changes, 4 rooms....) and everything looks amazing. I am very finicky and want things done perfectly. As the job went along I pointed out several things I wanted to make sure got fixed and the crew said "no problem"! They didn't roll their eyes at me or make any annoying looks. The just smiled and did everything I pointed out. Lord knows I would have been annoyed with me :) Loved everyone I dealt with and would hire them again in a heartbeat. I hired this company to remove wallpaper, They were the laziest, slowest, most incompetent workers I've seen in a long time! The three workers spent more time taking breaks than working and couldn't finish a very small bathroom and small dining room in a full day. They gauged the sheetrock, left goop and paper on the baseboard, window moldings and walls. They came late without equipment, had to go out to get supplies, then left early, not finishing the job. They were hoping to come back the next day but I didn't want them in my house. I'll never hire from this company again. read more

All I can say is do NOT hire Paris Painting! We had them out 3 weeks ago and they left paint on our windows, siding, sidewalk, hinges, and weatherstrips. They also left dirty fingerprints all over the windowsills on the inside of our house from removing screens, and they did a very poor job on the doors. Lastly, the crew didn't re-install the screens properly. Due to this, our pet was able to get out. This could have been a much larger problem if we weren't in the room at the time or if it had been our child. Their response? "So sorry to hear about this. We will absolutely be bringing this up to the production team here." You essentially pay double what anyone else will charge you for extremely low-quality work. So disappointing. Save yourself the headache and money and look elsewhere! read more
