We've lived in our apartment 7 years with Wheelhouse until Boutique Apartments / Zellis Property Management took over in April, and we suddenly live in a sweltering Ghetto. I had to contact the health department and code enforcement after 6 weeks of them allowing us to live with cockroaches. Now the refrigerator is going out and my electric bill has gone up 88% since last year at this time. First they send a maintenance man to 'look" at it and said there is nothing wrong with it. Except that it freezes my food and emits a high pitched tone while it never stops running... I've provided 3 years of energy usage to Zellis showing the expense of a broken fan motor and they ghost my requests for repair. The same employees that I could once turn to when with Wheelhouse went overnight from "Hero to Zero", apathetic drones, under Zellis employ. What kind of company coerces their employees to betray their own moral character? Since half the tenants moved out when they took over I'm guessing our building must be a tax write off or some money laundering venture for the unscrupulous, as they obviously don't care to keep us as tenants. My advice, if you live in a Zellis managed home, REPORT THEM, don't wait for them to do the right thing because they won't, and if you don't already live under their reign, then live anywhere else. read more

Living here has been the most stressful experience I've ever had to go through. I got behind on rent due to a job change but had communicated what was going on and when they could expect my payment. I got a notice on my door to pay by January 12th. I paid OVER that amount before the 12th. I had noticed that the payment was not posted so I had sent over multiple emails with proof of payment on time, and they responded that they didn't post the payment yet, it took them until after the 20th to post the payment to my account, BUT I have email threads with them communicating that they had received the payment in time. On January 29th ish I got a court summons on the door due to "non payment". I then again reached out confused since at this point I'm fully paid up until the end of February since I also paid that early. I had received a reply that "That notice is auto generated if rent isn't paid and posted" and "You currently have paid off all of your rent fees. Sorry for any troubles." Confused on how something get auto taped to my door but whatever. I then asked if I had to go to that court date since they acknowledged that it was "auto generated" and that I'm caught up. I got replied with "Nope, you are current" soooo... I didn't go!! In hindsight I should have just to be safe. But now.. there was an eviction posted by the sheriff's office on the front door. Assuming because of that court date I was told had had communication of that I did not have to attend. Also funny but also insane is that a few days prior to this eviction being on the door I had gotten a request to meet up and sign an addendum.. why would you have me sign this if your evicting me... I don't even think anyone here knows I'm being evicted due to the email threads I have.Its halfway impossible to get ahold of anyone here, half the time other people are replying to emails. I don't want to get evicted and I know I only have a short amount of time to get this fixed and I'm hoping someone there sees this since it's slim chance they will actually answer the phone or any of the emails I have sent read more

Zellis/Boutique still has not sent me my security deposit or any explanation regarding it and I moved out in SEPTEMBER. It is now almost FEBRUARY. I had to endure so much from this rental company which I will go into if I continue not to hear back from them. I call them at least once a week and have to leave a message every time. Please please please read reviews and do not rent with them. They are truly the worst rental company I have ever had the displeasure of renting from. PLEASE READ DO NO MOVE HERE: This very well might be the worst property management group I've had to deal with. Impossible to get in touch with over the phone or email as it relates to your actual property, and don't even mention when it comes to getting your security deposit after the fact. I thought the only way to get to them was by going to their actual office location. Nope, there is NO ONE there during hours - I've now tried twice. 3 weeks ago i was told my deposit was getting shipped after pestering this group for a couple weeks. I've received nothing and I'm in the SAME zip code (they'll just end up saying it is a USPS issue). After living across the board in different Denver locations, I can comfortably say you should avoid renting from this group. UPDATE: After ghosting me for 2 months they finally sent a move out statement where they are attempting to charge me 1,250 for "late notice" (i have receipts showing i confirmed moving out 2 months prior to end of lease). They will attempt to gauge you and not return your money. Horrible. Can possibly share the notice as proof of this. read more

I lived in this apartment for two years and would not recommend it. Management has very high turnover and is extremely unresponsive/unhelpful. Maintenance is the only part of the company that consistently follows through, but even then, many issues were never properly resolved. The air conditioning never worked reliably, and the washers and dryers were constantly out of order for long periods of time. I also experienced ongoing problems with mice that were never fully addressed. During my time there, I had a neighbor who repeatedly harassed me, and despite multiple reports and video evidence, the property failed to take appropriate action to make the space feel safe. To make things worse, it has now been over three months since I moved out, and I still have not received my security deposit, even though I was told there were no damages and I would be getting the full deposit back. I will be pursuing legal action to get it resolved. Colorado law requires no more than 60 days to get a deposit back and it has been over 90 at this point. Do not move here. read more

THREATENED WITH EVICTION FOR BOUTIQUE/WHEELHOUSE'S LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY: I am usually not one to leave reviews for anything, but this is, without hyperbole, the worst business I have ever had to interact with. Not even just for housing. Worst business, period. I started renting with Boutique Apartments/Wheelhouse Apartments in July of 2024. The lease term was to end on June 30, 2025. My past roommate reached out as early as March 26th, and I reached out on May 8th for renewal. Like the rest of these reviews can vouch for, the company is awful at communicating. It is not until July 16th, 2025 (two weeks after our lease expired) that I received a written reply stating that we would begin the process of renewal. My past roommate was moving out and I had a new one moving in, so there was some paperwork that needed to be completed in that regard. The paperwork had incorrect addresses on them, and I reached out to them about it, and it took them another two weeks to fix two lines of text, meaning that is now August and we STILL don't have a new lease. Fast forward to earlier this week, and I see a late charge on my account for failure to pay rent in a timely fashion. Mind you, I let Wheelhouse know far in advance that rent would be withheld until a new lease was sent to us and signed. This was out of our own financial protection. I could pay the rent, and they could easily say after the fact that rent was raised in the new lease and demand more. I was able to fight to get that late fee removed, but eventually, I was met with a 10 Day Notice that was dropped off saying that my new roommate and I are non-compliant with a lease that we STILL haven't received, and that these are grounds for eviction. My time living at the Dolphin Apartments did NOT bring harmony into my world. My roommate and I had relentless maintenance issues and unpleasant interactions with Boutique admin. From heating issues, to attempted break-ins left unresolved, to straight-up health hazards, we had a turbulent experience. Sure, Dolphin is close to campus and relatively cheap, but don't expect to have a flawless experience or for their management to take responsibility whatsoever for the inconveniences that they cause. From the beginning, I knew that our lease term was going to be a rocky one. When I arrived prior to move-in, the unit was visibly dirty, from the windows, to the kitchen, and even the ceilings had some kind of debris and mildew on them. The window screens and locks were also damaged, which is a significant safety concern in a garden-level unit. I put in a service request immediately with all of the things that needed to be fixed and cleaned. Upon move-in, NOTHING had been cleaned, and a small patch here and there was added to the window screens, completely ignoring the fact that one of them was popped out of its frame and had blinds that were non-operational. Despite all this, my roommate and I moved in and had been living there for a few months, throughout which almost all of our poorly affixed closet doors had fallen off their tracks - sometimes onto us. Our bedroom doors were unable to close over time because of the temperature fluctuations and layers and layers of paint on them. They had to be shaved down by maintenance so that they could be closed properly. Then, during one of the coldest weeks of the year, our heating went out. It took several days to "fix" and then we were unable to turn the heating OFF, resulting in consistent temperatures of 80 degrees or higher and us having to leave our scary windows open or run the air conditioner 24/7. On top of our heating problem, we woke up one morning unable to flush our toilet and with water dripping through the bathroom vent and splashing all over. I immediately put in a maintanance request and was told that WE had backed up the plumbing hundreds of feet with our "tampons." Apparently WE had caused that issue - despite living there for not even six months and never flushing anything but toilet tissue. They also said that the water dripping from the ceiling was from our upstairs neighbor taking long showers. In the process of snaking the plumbing, the drain expert that they hired sprayed years' worth of actual human excrement all over our bathroom and personal belongings. Dolphin management REFUSED to compensate us in any amount of rent, only agreeing to reimburse us for our soiled belongings IF we signed a document that we would never badly review or post anything online about Dolphin Apartments or Boutique Management -- which we clearly refused. They scolded us for not notifying them of the incident sooner, claiming that they would have sent in a cleaning service, despite all of this happening in the evening after we had been without a bathroom for a whole day. We spent hours cleaning every surface of the bathroom on a weekday just so that we could use our bathroom safely, with no compensation or resolution after much back and forth with management. Toward the end of our lease, we also had an attempted break-in, where a person who was looking through our windows and banging on the exterior walls somehow gained entrance to our building and was walking up and down the halls. My roommate called the police, who removed the person without speaking to us. We requested that Dolphin review the security camera footage from the hallway to assess how the intruder got into the building and send it to the police. They would only do so if we gave them the name of the officer, whom we had not spoken to, so this issue was again left unresolved, and we did not feel safe at all for the rest of our time living there. The cherry on top was not getting our deposit back for FOUR MONTHS after our lease had ended. We had to call multiple times a week to get a clear answer on when and where the check was being mailed. All of this to say -- don't live at Dolphin and AVOID BOUTIQUE / WHEELHOUSE APARTMENTS (now called "Zellis") or any Portus subsidiary. read more

I've gotten to THE point where I feel indifferent about living here. And I certainly will not be resigning with them. I was the second tenant to move in. The units were built quickly so the materials used are cheap- from walls to counters, etc. My door wouldn't lock when I first moved in, we got the wrong mailbox keys and management neglected our repeated concerns about changing the keys, not to mention the packages situation is a nightmare.. and so much more. The property manager, Katy, has definitely improved her behavior over the past couple of months. At first, she was extremely unresponsive and forgot to inform us that we'd be without internet for two whole months.. not to mention how the elevator is always broken.... Along with all the hidden fees they dont tell you about like electricity/water for the building (not the apartment). OH and the chick who did my leasing paperwork- we agreed to a 12 month lease? They did 13 months instead (I signed it being aware of this, but not knowing what I was getting myself into). Whatever. Would've been nice to know in advance. Transparency goes a long way. Courtney on the other hand, does a better job at what appears to be Katy's role? Just my opinion though. I like people who communicate effectively and quickly and show that they care about your concerns (or appear to). The real MVP is Jaime Perez though. He does maintenance for Signalmen. AMAZING. Dude deserves a raise, truly. I put a request late on Sunday and he was right at my door on Monday morning... after getting stuck in the elevator for 40 minutes! He fixed my fire alarm, answered all my questions, and even explained to me how it worked. 10/10 for Jamie! The one star review above is for Signalmen management. And told me they would get back to me regarding my resident portal that I can't sign into, because they switched to a new portal system with light giving me the registration code I need. Never heard back from them once. I've called and called and called and no one will answer the phone. I've never had to try so hard to pay someone the money I owe. Ok, they've really turned things around since my last review. So much so that I had to write an update. They've fixed EVERYTHING... including a new STEEL security door to replace one that was in really bad shape, and they steam cleaned the carpets in the hall/stairwells. More fixes below... The heat was on as soon as it got cold this year. No using the space heater until November on cold days! They completely fixed what was wrong with the laundry room. They got a new provider for the washing machines, and replaced all the machines with BRAND NEW ONES... you could smell the 'new car smell' when they put them in lol. I had complained about this again and received phone calls from 3 different staff members about it!!! I used to DREAD doing laundry here, but now it's super easy! The new app for the new machines works really well too. The heat went out recently and they were ON it. It was back in LESS than 24 hours. Amazing maintenance staff! Also, the maintenance staff is still amazing. They really care about getting things in your unit working well. All in all, management is awesome and so are the maintenance guys! I would highly recommend avoiding this property, for a variety of reasons! I read through the reviews and it appears they're trying to pump up their scores through people who toured, or a food truck operator (lol). I lived here a year, my sister also lived here a year, and can actually speak to living here which many of the reviewers clearly did not. In fact, go for a tour, ask to go smell and see the 3rd floor to see a kicked in door, and a strong cigarette and marijuana odor. The property managers do not have an office on site, are slow to respond, and ultimately only care about you signing the lease. Below are the myriad of issues I experienced during my year lease at Signalmen: *Safety & Security*: when considering moving here, at no point was it mentioned to me that they mention that they accept Section 8 housing waivers. As a result, many of the residents are using their waivers which is no issue. That being said, the amount of people you see in the hallway that you would probably not want to have access to your apartment complex are abundant. A neighbor of mine I had to call the police on 3 times. There were 5+ people that resident provided access to coming in and out at all hours. I saw door kicked in, and also was witness to them stealing packages on more than one occasion. For 3/4 of my time there, Signalmen did not ensure that delivery drivers had access to the package room, so package theft was common. I also rented a small storage locker on the first floor, which was broken into on two occasions, with $5k+ of outdoor gear stolen as a result. The managements' response was to direct me to make a claim with renters insurance, yet they did nothing to further secure the storage units. Any resident has access to your storage unit. One change made was to install two cameras outside, you'd think for security, but no it was to try to charge residents for not cleaning up dog poop. The only internal cameras are for the lobby, there are none in hallways or storage rooms. On multiple occasions homeless people would break into the building, or vehicles. In fact, for a full week there was a homeless person living in the stairwell at night. Not ideal. Outside of their purview, the location is in an area with a high amount of criminal activity, partially due to proximity to the light rail station, and west Colfax. Specifically, a field across the street from the building consistently had criminal activity, and on multiple occasions I was threatened and harassed by the homeless. Ultimately, the lack of security and disregard to complaints would be the primary reason I would never recommend anyone choose to live here, especially for the price point they charge. *Amenities*: short list, there is a basic gym that you are charged $50/month for regardless of your use. Unfortunately, they also don't maintain necessary cleaning supplies in the gym so bring your own. It also lacks air conditioning, so it's a miserable environment. *Price & Value*: comparable price to other apartments in the area, yet the lack of amenities, security, and property management attentiveness makes this place lose a lot of value. *Maintenance*: Signalmen essentially has one crew for all of their properties. Generally a 48 hour turnaround on a request, that being said it's without notice or planning and if you are not there, or unavailable while working from home it can make it not worth it to even bother reaching out to them. *Parking*: extremely limited street parking, but they charge $150 for a lot in the alley that conveniently has a lot of transient and homeless foot traffic, with zero security. Not sure how they even charge anything for these spaces given while moving out a homeless man was living in the dumpster located in the parking lot. Long story short, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. This area has a ways to go, and the management is quick to get you in, slow to respond to issues. Unfortunately, the section 8 waivers bring in characters most would not want to be neighbors with, and Signalmen will not be forthright about that. read more

I love the layout, I never hear anyone in my apartment, the apartment itself is beautiful and clean, the amenities are exactly what I needed, and kept up very well! I placed a work order in within two days of moving in, and the problems were fixed within 24hrs. The front desk employees, Wasiem and Kimberly, have been the sweetest and most helpful front desk associates I've ever had in the state of Colorado! Each time i have a question or concern it is immediately addressed. Derek from the maintenance team had been helpful and reassuring. I live at x at Sloans, on of boutique apartments properties. For a year we have been asking management to secure the building as the fob is a false sense of security. We have found the grill behind our apartment on and unattended with grill stones removed presumably for drug use by our not so friendly neighbors. We've seen people hopping the fence right behind our apartment to get into the common area. We've been aggressively confronted by a man who trespassed trying to spend the night in the common room. We've encountered a staircase full of non-residents who made the stairwell their place for the night. We've picked up trash left by trespassers. We've seen feces in the common area and stairwell. And police have been contacted several times over trespassing issues. Throughout this whole ordeal we repeatedly tried to contact the property management with no response. Emails about security issues go unanswered, calls go to voicemail, and no one takes any urgency to help us feel safer or even acknowledge our feelings here despite all our outreach. This is not the first time communications went unanswered as I emailed for almost a month consistently about a pet rent fee which should've been taken off in September that kept being charged until November. The team does a good job of fixing things but with such a delicate issue like safety, everyday that an email is put off for later is a load of anxiety for the tenant. We had some other complaints when we received an apartment that we were told would be cleaned when we toured it but obviously was not. Weirdest of all is that our bedroom door cannot close. The latch doesn't fit in place and when the AC unit is on, trying to close it turns into a wind tunnel and it's impossible. We've also been missing a closet door that 'was ordered' and 'in back stock' since we moved in. Snow removal is nonexistent so the amenities that were selling points like the rooftop fireplace are unusable. For a while the grill's trashcan outside our door went months stinking, attracting flies, with no one taking out the trash. It wasn't until we emailed that it was addressed. I hate to say it, but I don't recommend living here. Sloans lake is wonderful but this a poorly located building which on top of that is poorly secured. We would've stayed with boutique apartments had we not felt like management didnt care about its residents after this experience. Things we really liked about X at Sloans: The property managers are kind people. Katy organized a building activity for sip and paint which was awesome. The package lockers (which most drivers except Fedex use) are a great convenience. The gym is also great to have. There was clearly a great vision for what x at Sloans could've been but lack of security makes it a transient paradise rather than a resident paradise. read more

No responses, multiple code and safety violations in the building, multiple BUILDING break-ins they do not care about (it's in the lease - not their problem, literally word for word). They purchased my apartments and I have had more issues with safety and communication in the three months since they took over than I have in almost 4 years of living under the previous ownership. I had to call them and email them everyday for the month of November to get my lease renewed and was provided with the renewal four days before the lease expired. This. Is. Illegal. The only reason they got my signature was because this is Denver - it would be physically impossible for me to find a new apartment in the one week they gave me to think about my rent increase!! Not to mention they had no idea how to handle the paperwork involved with the renewal which was an absolute joke. I have no idea how they are still in business. This is exactly how I was treated when leasing from them in 2016 - nothing has changed. Horrible company, horrible employees, no compassion, no care for your safety and no care for your sanity. Oh, and if you want to actually speak to an employee, press 1 to pretend you're wanting to lease an apt from them and then you'll get a person not an unreturned phone call request submitted by their answering service. Do not lease from them if you like your sanity. Absolute scum bags. Just a little tip as well, stop gaslighting your tenants in your responses to the reviews. It just makes you look worse and shows everyone how terrible your character really is and to expect dismissal when renting from you. I've been left with no toilet or any other solutions for MULTIPLE times exceeding 12-24+ hours. I've never heard back from management or a maintenance manager. Boutique apartments just took over a townhouse property that we have lived in for almost 4 years. They gave no advanced notice of the transition and I received a notice the day that they took the property over. I reached out to the property manager to inquire about new policies and what we would be looking at for rental increases (we are not currently in a lease). Stephanie said that she would call me back and never did. Then this week I got a renewal letter and they are raising our rent by $450 a month plus now they are charging for utilities. I left 3 more messages for Stephanie and surprise surprise she never called me back. I spoke to her assistant who said he would check to see if there was anything that could be done about the increase and surprise again nothing could be done and he had no idea who was above his boss who would not return a phone call. Do not rent from this company! In the last two weeks, they have shown nothing but a lack of care and empathy for current tenants and couldn't even manage to plow when we got 10 inches of snow. Apartment was vacant when we looked at it two weeks prior to move in, nothing was checked during this time to ensure working order until AFTER we moved in. December 2019: Glass in dogs' foot Bike Stolen (cops called) Window Broke Locked in apartment House was not cleaned properly, and our dog got glass in foot from what appeared to be a broken ornament of some type. Had to pull glass out. Foot was bleeding. Bike was stolen from "secure" locked storage unit in garage (have police report). Our window in our unit would not shut all the way letting in cold air, dust and noise from construction. Maintenance man came to try to close it, ultimately breaking it more. Boutique's "solution" was to put up a flimsy piece of plastic to keep cold out. Did not work. Michelle said window could take up to 6 months due to it being a historic building. Heard yelling and banging from staircase. Opened door and several residents were locked in there due to the door being locked and their keys not able to let them out. Grabbed my keys and couldn't get into the staircase (elevator was broken). Essentially this created a huge fire hazard as we were trapped on the third floor. Called after hours maintenance. They said they would send someone once they were free, but no one was available right then. January 2020: Peeping Tom (cops called) Burglar (cops called) Was lying in bed one night when I saw a gentleman with a black hoodie and beard peep in our skylight above our bed. The next weekend I was sleeping and heard glass shattering from the rooftop. A burglar had jumped on the patio that we could see from skylight and broke a decorative vase the girls had out that lived above us. I heard him rattle the sliding door and then got spooked when I yelled, and he took off. February 2020: Homeless broke into cars in garage (cops called) Homeless coming in behind us at front door (cops called) Cars broke into in "secure" garage. Came home one evening from being out and a homeless man tried to sneak in behind me. Asked him if he lived here. He said it was "none of my business." Let Michele know of incident. Next day received email from Michele letting us know that it was essentially our job to make sure homeless are not coming in. The door does not immediately close behind you once open. March 2020: Met with Michele. Told us we could leave or move to a new unit. Start of city shutting down. We chose to stay but agreed we would all continue to be vigilant on making sure nothing else happens. April 2020: Michele moved us to 4H No heat in new unit, gave us small portable unit Toilet was running non-stop and not working properly Oven only has one burner working Apartment smelled of cat piss All self-explanatory. I told her if we have one more problem, we are finished. May 2020: Toilet still not working properly Oven only has one burner working June 2020: Toilet still not working properly Oven only has one burner working Homeless man jacking off beside door (cops called) Homeless man sleeping in front of door (cops called) Tonya asked the man jacking off to please leave. He lunged at her and spit on her. She called the cops.Next day, another man was sleeping in front of door. I asked him to move letting him know that people live here and need to access this door. He screamed at me and told me he would follow me in and "kill us all." Took photo of man and called cops. July 2020: Toilet still not working properly Oven only has one burner working Parking spot in garage trashed Michele quit. Came home from lunch today and found parking garage trashed. Let Zach know. He seemed unfazed and said he is "stepping into a lot" as the new person. Had a meeting with Zach (7/8/2020) and his ONLY SOLUTION was that we can pay $4000 to leave this crap shoot AND we only have 3 months left on the lease. I have never lived in a building that cares less about their residents than Boutique/Wheelhouse apartments. Specifically the property managers Zach Miller and Ayreonnah Redin. These are two of the most incompetent people I have worked with in all the places I've rented over the last decade. Let me give a brief list of everything that's happened in this building over the last 18 months. - We've had 5 - 10 car break-ins, and after repeatedly requesting video cameras be installed in the garage, the management has said no multiple times -- **UPDATE** as of 2/7, we just had another one! - Also, due to a lack of cameras, robbers have decided it's a free-for-all and dozens of packages have been stolen. When I mentioned the issue of not having a camera in the garage, Zach responded "Oh, so you think cameras prevent crime?" - We had to complain to management for almost 6 months for them to have the trash picked up regularly. Often, we couldn't even get in the trash room because it had piled up so much. - They make a very poor effort to clean the hallways, and I don't think they've ever cleaned the elevator. - The community room and roof are never taken care of -- the grill is disgusting and the floors are usually dirty. - We've had homeless people sleeping in the garage because management refuses to fix the trash garage door or the door to the back of the garage I could go on for days about how much the management here is terrible, and how they don't care about their tenants. I move every two years. It's a nomadic habit but I've lived in a lot of cool places. This is the by far the worst. Do not do it. This management company is what is wrong with slumlords. They will nickel and dime and charge illegal fees with no itemized receipts or ledger. This company breaks state tenants rights and laws. Doesn't return calls or followup with maintenance requests. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Boutique apartments has wonderful location and an ambiance that draws you in! Don't let it fool you. The contractual agreement (meaning 66 pg. lease ) you'll be entering is ridiculous to say the least. I would only sign it if it was the last resort. They prey on those that don't understand the business agreement they're entering into. The worst part though??.. the staff. I primarily worked with Jesse Hopkins who proved herself early on to be condescending, degrading, and disrespectful. For a company that prides itself on "customer service" I find it pathetic to support someone that hangs up on future residents and treats them as if their concerns don't matter. I get the situation may be crappy but a simple apology and transparency goes a long way. I work for a restaurant group in the HR department. Our business exists for our guests and if my employees don't align with that, they don't work there. Jesse Hopkins is a pathetic excuse for an employee who clearly hates coming to work every day and doesn't live up to the organization's mission, vision, and values. For that, I feel sorry for her. Customer service isn't for everyone... My experience here is my experience but to everyone I speak to, I will HIGHLY recommend steering clear from this organization. I'm at current resident at Breugger Bros Lofts on Champa managed by Boutique apartments I have lived here since 8/20/2016 and my lease is 1 year. In the very short time I've lived here there has been MANY issues from: loose toilet that rocks when you use it. Waking to no heat several times while it was less than 10 degrees out. A chemical Oder that had no filled our homes twice and on one serious occasion cause nausea and vomiting. Management response was to open windows at 3 am and turn on a fan while it was 7 degrees out. We have issues with homeless doing drugs in stairwells Management staff is completely inconsiderate of concerns and complaints. Have had since moving in 3 request for a unit walk through. That's a walk through almost 1 a month. Very excessive Moved in to find the unit had drug paraphernalia and maintenance found crystal meth in my unit while doing repairs to microwave vents. The bathroom exhaust is on functional so any Marijuana being smoked fills the unit. The trash is out in a back alley and overfilled most of the week. I would stay far far away from these guys. My girlfriend and I had an apartment at Turntable studios for over a year next to the Broncos stadium. The manager was a complete and total moron and could care less about the place. Her employees parked in our paid parking spot multiple times and she did nothing about it. The parking there is bad enough. During Broncos games her security employee took our paid spot over and over and she did nothing. 90% of the washers and dryers would take our money and then wouldn't work. She was well aware of the issues and did nothing. The elevators were broken all the time and they did nothing about it. One elevator broke with someone inside it and she knew the elevators needed service. She was made well aware of the people hanging outside of the building doing drugs and selling drugs. She didn't care. So many more issues I don't feel like explaining. The place is an absolute disgrace and when we complained to corporate they said "it sounds like you aren't enjoying your time with us we will let you out of your lease". So we left. Recently BA took over my building's management. Since they have I have nothing but complaints. From the moment they took over garbage has not been properly taken care of leaving the designated area disgusting. There was one point when trash hadn't got picked up for over two weeks. The dump still needs to be emptied more than it is. I had my car stolen from the 'secure' parking lot. Their automated residents portal is a joke. The list goes on.... an elevator that consistently has problems and is neglected.... maintenance never responding to problems in a timely manor. I really miss our old management. read more

from move in to after move out we had problems. the first time we unlocked our apartment it hadn't been cleaned. del prado is not a pet/smoke free building as stated. there are dogs, cats, and smokers on every floor. building rules will not be enforced, and you will often be told to call the police instead of the landlords maintaining control of their building. i could go on, and on, and on. now three months after moving out we finally got the rest of our deposit check! (we were wrongfully charged for the blinds to be replaced. thank goodness i held on to our move in sheet that showed they were mostly broken upon move in!) we had squirrels climbing in our windowsills and chewing the screens for three years. our move in sheet requested the squirrel problem be addressed. the week before we moved out they trimmed the trees allowing us to open our windows for the first time! three years for a maintenance ticket! so harsh. the main entry doors are often broken. the garage door was broken for almost an entire season. during that time our locked up child bike trailer was stolen. a number of tenants had items stolen from the "secure" garage. we received a mass email from boutique blaming the tenants for the thefts. you will often receive emails blaming the entire building for things that maintenance should be in control of. like what even is that? the employees are not interested in helping. in fact, some of that are actually mean. we were already determined to move out, but the rent was going to be raised $76 a month. when we moved in, they prided themselves on not raising rents. the two previous years rent was only raised $15. nearly every interaction with employees after moving in was nasty. sharp. the kindness movement has not reached this place yet. the views from the del prado are great. the view may not be enough to overcome the bs. IF YOU HAVE BREATHING PROBLEMS OF ANY KIND DO NOT LIVE HERE. my daughter had pulmonary issues almost our entire duration in this building. the building, shared heating system, and swamp cooler are absolutely unsanitary. i will steer friends and whoever i can away from this company moving forward! this place had 2.5 stars when we moved in, and the same moving out. i wish i had paid closer attention, but then i might not be a squirrel whisperer or know more than ever to have everything in writing. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Lived in an apartment where maintenance issues were constant and never fully fixed. The ceiling collapsed in our bathroom and they left a mess, used our trash can for dirty water, and slapped a bandaid on it. The drain never drained and we had to stand in dirty water while showering for a year. Endless leaking problems. The building was surrounded with asbestos and taped off yet nothing was done about it for well over a year. Thanks for the cancer. Problems were brought up to management but never fixed. On top of everything we left the place spotless upon move out and they chose to keep $1400 of our $1800 deposit for a place that was unsanitary and near inhabitable for a year. They threatened to tow my car even though I am handicapped and ask for a handicap space which by law they're supposed to honor within 30 days if they have parking but instead they have the dump truck out working in the middle of the night where I was parking not taking anyone's parking sending particulates into my apartment.
