I visited Zen on yesterday! I spent over $120 there only for them to steal my earbuds. I called early this morning. She told me she would call me back. I called during the lunchtime. She told me she would call me back. I called this evening and she tells me they're not there so I ask her to check the cameras, one of her employees had to have stolen them. She's says that's not true it's just that she wasn't at the shop when I was calling and only had until now to look for them and I could come TOMORROW evening and check the camera!! read more

We walked in on a Friday around 4:45 and got sat right away. The ladies are so nice here! My pedicure was amazing and my toes look wonderful. The sugar scrub with the wax after make my feet/legs feel like butter now. It's so peaceful in here, with a relaxing playlist. I have no idea how they only have two stars!!! More people need to come here and show them some love! It did start to get busy 30 minutes after we showed up, so more people need to leave reviews! read more

Service was ehh.. iffy.. I walked in the girl in front asked what I wanted I explained I wanted a gel pedicure and dip on my hands - no tips... She understood but however when I sat down the lady doing my hands seemed confused on what she doing, and kept insisting me if I wanted tips I said no tips-just dip on my real nails. However she seemed like she didn't understand so I proceed to say a regular manicure with dip powder on my real nails. At that point she understood just manicure and then the girl from the front came to check upon on them.. and restated that I wanted dip powder. The lady got upset I could tell because she said noo you said manicure, I said yes but also want to do the dip on my real nails I just don't want tips- lady kept saying why I didn't want them and that I should get a new set. I said no. It was lowkey frustrating.. afterwards the vibe got awkward because her and her coworker that was doing my pedicure were definitely talking about what had happened giggling and making the whole vibe awkward and intense. I wanted to end service but I didn't want to make more unprofessional than what it already was... - I will definitely not be coming back. read more

I got a pedicure and a set of nails. The pedicure was perfectly fine! But when a different lady started doing my nails she burned me multiple times! She also made me bleed! My nails do not look anything like I asked for and she charged me $80!! I've never in my life ever paid $80 for nails!! Will NEVER going back!! read more

Normally this salon is decent, but I have to say after today I will not be back. I had dip powder applied to my real nail and this left colored acrylic all over my fingers. I had to ask the technician to try to clean it off and the attached photo is AFTER she cleaned it and said it was good. I was advised to scrub it hard in shower and it would come off. I have had dip powder applied to my nails many times before, and never experienced anything like this. Any acrylic residue on my hands was cleaned off before I left. read more

Use to come here all the time. Got exhausted this morning with their constant up selling. Came in when they opened. One lady on the phone. Two helping one customer. Asked for manicure. 3 people came by to "up sell" me. Ten minutes later 3 more came to try again. I was done at that point. When I got up to leave they surrounded me partying my back and trying to get me to stay...they triggered a full on panic. Bottom line. DONT GO HERE! read more

First time going to a nail salon outside of beaumont , and i absolutely loved it!! I didn't catch the name of the sweet woman who did my nails but she did amazing! And to top it off the other 2 people who did my friends nails too! They did an amazing job, and they were all super sweet too!! I received a gift certificate to Zen as a CHRISTmas gift. I do not treat myself to these type things very often so I was very excited to go and decided to get a pedicure with my gift certificate and splurge for a manicure. I got a color on my toes and asked for an American Manicure on my nails. When asked about the length of my nails (I just wanted a manicure on my natural nails) I showed the guy one of my nails and said I wanted them like that, basically a working length. He proceeded to cut my finger nails off with nail clippers. While he was cutting the cuticles on my toe nails, he cut my toe and made it bleed. A lady helped finish up my nails and she completely missed half of my nails with the pink/clear coat and I had to ask her to repaint them. It has only been three days and my polish on my right hand has literally peeled off like a child's play polish. I am very disappointed and do not plan to return in the future. read more

Got the worst set of nails here!!! I don't recommend coming here to get anything besides a simple pedicure.

My nail experience was awful! We overpaid for terrible service. My nails were crooked and she didn't even file then down, they were also uneven in length and on the top of my nail. I ended up having to take off the set I paid for off, and had to go somewhere else to have it done again within the hour due to water being able to come between my fake nail and my real nail. If you want to over pay for poor quality this is where you should go. Very disappointed and unhappy with the service that was paid for! read more

Well to be gin with this place is pretty nice! They have multiple spa chairs and plenty of polish to choose from. The service probably could have been a little better i.e. the nail technician stopped doing my boyfriends manicure to start in another customer that had just walked in. During my manicure she filed one fingernail and started putting lotion on my hands ( i guess they moisturize your hand before the actual manicure) but she just walked away without saying anything to me to let me know she would do it later I had to ask. Ummm because I'm a nice person and they had a lot of polish to choose from I probably would try them again maybe a different technician, someone a little more seasoned and feels comfortable in their work. read more

Unwelcoming rushed service, (yes it's a nice salon). a guy who I am assuming is the manager/owner kept walking by my nail tech telling him who knows what in a bad tone which affected the quality outcome of my nails. I got dip powder and the nail tech applied a bit over my cuticle, the next day all of my nails looked to start peeling near it. I keep giving this place chance after chance and now I'm done. $35 for a pedicure that they spend 1 minute working on callus?! I kept telling the tech to keep doing it and she just smiles and pretends like she doesn't understand. When I brought it to the managers attention all I got was attitude and she proceeded to do it herself. My nails are always crooked and they rush through the service. Spent $110 on poor quality service. When they opened at first, they took their time to please their clients. Not anymore. No wonder it's always empty. read more

I've only been to two other nail places so i don't have a lot of places to compare Zen to, but as far as cleanliness, the others paled in comparison. I always had my reservations about going to one of "those places" but here, I felt totally pampered. They have these totally amazing massage chairs that make it totally worth the money. They let me just sit in one after my pedicure and wait for my girlfriend to finish up. Being a dude, i cannot comment on how well they do acrylic nails, polish, etc (not that there is anything wrong with that...) but i did work in various medical settings for years so i know about cross contamination and aseptic technique, etc and i didn't see anything that was questionable at all. Also, the whole place looked new with state-of-the-art equipment and the ladies were very polite. Would DEFINITELY recommend! read more

So to begin, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's really nice on the inside. As far as nails, TRASH! I've been there twice and it I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The first time after 1.5 wks my nail crack. This is the second time going and the young man didn't file my nails properly, one chipped in less than 24 hrs. And two more cracked 1 week later. I had to wait forever. They said they would be right with me. I noticed another person waiting also. Twenty-five minutes later I got up and left. They had many open/empty pedicure & manicure stations with no one to work them. :( I would prefer they be up front and say it's going to be a 20 minute wait instead of ooh were going to be right with you! I prefer going to Elite Nails at Central Mall in Port Arthur. You walk in there and someone is always ready to help you. They can get crowded on the weekend but week days are great.
