Please think twice before giving your money and time to this small business. There are so many other local nail shop businesses in this area that understand the principle of delivering BOTH quality and customer service. If I could rate this business a zero, I would. I gave Zen nail a chance as there are several other nails shops in southeast Texas, and I highly regret it simply due to the plain fact management did not keep their word. I went in for a shellac manicure, upon arrival and completion of my nails I left in good spirits. I called one day later because the shellac layer on two of my nails had already lifted up and peeled off. Kenny and the staff had terrible time management and customer service when it came to making it right for the customer, and keeping their word that the technician would complete a new set for me. I agreed to him making it right without requesting for a refund, and I explained to him that I lived in Houston, and I was only in town for the weekend so it may be hard for me to get in. Kenny reassured me I could come back at anytime and get my nails redone. Just recently, I went back this past weekend trying to get my nails done, as he said he would honor redoing my nails, and he didn't. After multiple phone calls, I finally get in contact with Kenny, the manager, himself, and asked for a refund, yet he refused and said there was nothing he can do for me. This is extremely upsetting and frustrating as I trusted this business to keep their word. Just wow. If this is how Zen Nails wants to run a business and not take care of its customers, I have nothing more to share than this review. Mind you, the way Kenny spoke to me speaking over me stating he cannot give me a refund or repair is UNPROFESSIONAL. From what I know the customer is 'always right,' in this case I was not trying to 'be right' or get my way, however the fact I was willing to trust Kenny and his staff to keep their word and make it right for me, the customer, is disheartening. I would highly encourage anyone to think twice before supporting Zen nail as thus business has no regard in keeping their word to paying customers. A TRUSTED and good-founded business would keep their word, and would not place their focus and value on only rendering services. There should be more emphasis placed on CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Shame on you, Kenny. I will indeed keep my word to you per our last conversation, and file a complaint to ensure other customers are treated fairly. read more

I do not like leaving bad reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn others about going to Zen nails. The first time I went there was fabulous. When I went again as a return customer it was as if they didn't have to try any more. The manicurist refused to listen to me. The manicure lasted about 3 hours and then started lifting. I returned the next day and politely explained the issue and there was resistance to help me. They kept accepting walk ins before me!!! I sat patiently and finally, 2 hours later, they "fixed" the dip manicure, but it was such a rush job it lasted about one week when typically I get 2+ weeks out of a dip manicure. And it cost me $66!!!! I will not return. I just went to Nice Nail salon in Beaumont and had a wonderful experience, for over $20 less. read more

One young girl came over looked and walked off, two older men walked up to the station I was sitting and turned around. I'm from out of town, my BF lives in Beaumont so we came here for the first time. Upon walking in I asked for my nails to be soaked off & 2 Unwind Pedicures ($35/each). My guy didn't do a horrible job, but both of us did not receive the full pedicure we paid for. They did not include the neck towel or the mask, and they wanted to wait till I was done with my pedicure to ask about my nail soak off. Adding an extra 20-25min to me already being here when they could have let me soak during my pedicure. We won't be coming back, if you come just stick to the basic pedicure. They add basic items to make their pedicure look jazzy like "cuticle cut & callus remover", & if you get pedicures regularly then you know that's a core basic pedicure inclusion. read more

I got to Zen Nails at 9 am like always. Vivienne always does my nails. They said she was running late so I waited 20 minutes. When she got there she said she had a 9:30 am appointment and asks me to come back. I asked why they didn't tell me that. They didn't answer me. So I left and went to Dream Nails. Skylar was very nice and began to soak off my nails which were supposed to be dip. They would not soak off. So apparently I had been paying for dipped nails for months and getting acrylic nails. The first time she did them I asked why she did her dipped differently that other people. She said bc I get ombre pink and whites it is better to do it that way. So I would NOT RECOMMEND Zen Nails. I didn't get what I paid for and they certainly did not respect my time. Dream Nails did a great job. read more

I was honestly not expecting to enjoy myself tonight as much as I did. I had a 45-minute lavender pedicure that was absolutely dreamy. I was offered wine and enjoyed a warm towel around my neck during. The lavender foot bath and scrub (used to massage my legs and feet) smelled incredible. I absolutely could have fallen asleep it was so relaxing! I then had a simple manicure, and the experience was just as one would expect. The attention paid to my cuticles was impressive, and the paint job was fine. I really enjoyed the keratin gloves that were applied to soften my hands and help loosen the cuticles. Afterward I had my brows waxed. I specifically asked to "just clean them up," and the woman thinned them a little more than I wanted (but she didn't destroy them!). She was so gentle, and the process was nearly painless. Super quick too! Overall I would highly recommend this spa! The price for what you get is outstanding. The establishment is clean, and I waited less than five minutes to sit for my pedicure (including the time it took for me to pick my color) at 5:00 PM on a Thursday. Check it out! read more

An employee walked up to check out a customer and still didn't acknowledge me. I then asked if Kevin was available and she stated yes and proceeded to wait on her customer. I'm from out of town and I decided to go here on a whim. I was greeted immediately and welcomed as a walk-in. The spa was very clean, everyone wearing masks, plenty of hand sanitizers available and safe distancing between people- for the most part. The tech who did my nails was very kind and patient with me. At first I decided to do shellac but last minute changed my mind to SNS. She found a color similar in SNS to the one I originally picked out for shellac and was super sweet about the last minute change. My nails turned out fantastic and very well shaped (almond) given the short length they were at. All in all a really awesome nail spa. I would recommend for sure. read more

I recently moved to Beaumont and it was hard to choose which nail place to go to since there's so many. I ended up going to Zen because the complex looked on the newer side and I like the tinted windows for extra privacy. My nail tech Nancy was not intimidated by the Pinterest picture I brought in, she was confident and introduced me to Gel Powder and I'm in LOVE! Love this nail salon! Prices are comparable to other local nail places. This is a family operated spa and all the ladies are super friendly and helpful. Each nail tech spends time properly grooming your nails and nail bed. They trim cuticles and any excess skin around the nail. They all enjoy their job and make you feel like a person instead of just a number in line. This is for both hands and feet. They also have an extensive selection of shellac colors to choose from. Many places only have 10-12 colors but Zen has, I would guess, 50+ shades. read more

If I could I'd give less stars to this place. I went here to get my nails done, worst nails ever, lady didn't even take the time to do them properly she "did" them like in 15 minutes, mind you not that everywhere else I've done my nails they take around 40 min to do so. On top of that she made my cuticles bleed on three fingers I kept telling her it hurt she said it's ok, it's ok. Should've left really because she ended up hurting two other of my fingers. Nails ended up all bumpy so bad and extremely thick. I really wish I had taken a picture. Oh and to top this experience the lady that did my nails was chewing gum like a cow the whole time, súper unpleasant. read more

This was the third nail salon I tried after moving to Beaumont - and I loved it! A pedicure and a powder dip manicure were only $65 together, and there were tons of additional touches that made this salon extra worth the money. They give you a heated neck pillow for the pedicure, offer you a drink, and use keratin gloves during the manicure, which are AWESOME. Plus, I was in and out in an hour for both services - I've been stuck in salons for 2.5 hours before for those services. And they did a great job. They also show the powder dip colors on plastic nails (like how shellac colors are shown) - so you really get an idea of your powder dip color and don't just have to judge it based on the powder's appearance in the jar. read more

This is a review for their waxing service. My friend saw the special for a $5 lip wax and thought she'd try that and a sideburn wax. While waiting, we saw a few clients who walked out with facial waxes and intact skin. We were feeling positive about the quality of the service. Well, boy were we wrong. The aesthetician put boiling hot wax on my friend's face and was being so rough the entire time, until my friend yelled out and asked her to stop because she was literally pulling the top layer of skin off my friend's face. Her face was red and raw when she left, and the next 3-4 days, her skin had patches of burns on it - which thankfully went away with a moisturizer and lots of aloe vera. She said she will never be returning here. And I will never try this place out, neither for a wax nor for my nails - because customer service should be consistent - regardless of who is being serviced and/or which service you utilize. read more

I am a very first time customer and I came here based off of a recommendation since the reviews here were a little too mixed for my comfort! So I'll start by saying don't be off-put by the few sour reviews. I don't mean that to say that anyone is wrong because who knows--maybe it was just a bad day to come for those few. When I first walked in I was immediately impressed by how just nice looking it is inside. I was asked by two people if I could be helped and then told the price of what I was needing done ($40 for the powder dip, on your natural nail) and I even needed like two tips to be put on my nail because the place I went to previously didn't do such a great job and two of my nails came off, breaking my nails. They didn't charge me extra for needing the two tips I needed which, I don't know if that's normal but it was nice. Anyway, the service was awesome, they speak to you kindly and most of the employees I saw spoke very good English (which is nice because sometimes I feel bad if there's a misunderstanding because of language barriers). For the price point I was VERY happy and I'll for sure be back. Check these guys out I'm sure they do a mean pedicure as well! Best hour of my life! I came here to get a pedicure as I have approximately once a month for the past few months. All pedicures have been great, but today I got Tommy. He was extremely thorough and exceeded even my wildest expectations. His foot massage actually made my eyes roll to the back of my head! Game changer! I was visiting my mom from out of town and she had been complaining of her cuticles. My sister usually clips her nails and she told me it hurts. So, I brought my mom here to have a professional do the job. They were so gentle with her (even though her hands shake) and she kept falling asleep during her manicure. My nails and eyebrows are always on point ! I personally only let koo do my nails I only go once per month and trust me they last the entire month with no breakage or chipping ( get shellac )I recommend you get here early on a Saturday or make an appointment because then tend to get busy but the place is always clean & the staff is always polite and professional . read more

That being said, here are my issues: They were very under staffed that day (I was told that 3 people went home on vacation that week) and it took 2 hours for me to have a pedicure. I visits this nail salon this wkn for my bday and it was the worst. I ask for a full set, pedicure and eyebrow wax. The entire experience was terrible. The wax was bad. She removed most of my eyebrows, the nail tech assigned to do my pedicure was very rude, she made comments to fellow coworkers. I didn't even let her finish and I refused to let them touch me any further. I will NVR return. My aunt was with me and got a manicure and has already chipped 3 nails.
