When i showed up I thought I was in the wrong place except for the sign outside the house. I knocked on the door and a teenage boy let me in and I walked into the living room where there were 4 kids sitting watching TV. Kathy came out and said she was finishing up with a client and I could wait in the living room with her kids or in another room. I chose the other room but it wasn't much better, it was her bedroom where I sat on the edge of her bed and watched TV until she finished with her client. She came in and got me and took me into the massage room which was great, the music and lighting was what you would expect for a massage parlor. The only down side was that you could hear the TV on in the next room and at one point someone came into the kitchen which was only separated from the massage room by a curtain and it made me very uncomfortable to be naked on the table so close to some rando. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 0 was that it was a really really amazing massage. I came in with really tight shoulders and a crick in my neck and asked for a 30 minute massage. She ended up spending over an hour on me and kept digging until she got the knot out. Then she rubbed icy hot on my sore muscles and did a quick run down of the rest of my body (including my stomach, which I thought was a little weird). I can't say that I won't be going back if I have a really tight spot because I know she will be able to get it out. However, I will definitely request that her family not be roaming around, and I suggest that she move her business out of her home. If she did, I would be a regular customer.

The kids' classes are a blast, and there are always fun events going on. There was just a benefit yoga-thon and you could take classes for donations. I've heard this is a regular thing. There are also workshops, reiki, and more. All the teachers I've met so far are great, and they're very helpful when you have questions or problems with the poses. I am new to yoga and am just learning about all the benefits of practicing, but I can already tell a huge difference in my general well-being. I am looking forward to more classes at the Leaf.
