This place is amazing! Not only was my massage absolutely AWESOME (from Tom) but the manager went out of her way to help me. I was in town overnight because my car broke down and had a splitting headache. I took an Uber over to Zen which was very clean and Tastefully decorated. When I was finished my phone battery was dead and she didn't have a cable to fit in Android so I couldn't contact my Uber driver... so the manager insisted she drive me back to my motel! ...And then to top it off a little while later the motel manager is knocking on my door and said that the manager from Zen had brought my coffee back over that I had left there!... We are talking about a throw away cardboard cup from 7-Eleven! Who does that!?? Thanks manager at Zen whose name I never got! You are an amazing human being! I've been going to see Tom for over 2 years. He is a very skilled masseur. Uses very deep pressure to all the right spots (don't book Tom if you don't like it deep!). Reads my body perfectly and adjusts the massage accordingly. I recommend the 90-minute combo. You start out in the reclining table for a foot soak, scalp, face, and upper body massage followed by a thorough foot/calf massage. You then go to a private room for full-body-face-down massage. So good! I just got back from getting the foot massage and body massage combo, an hour total, and the price was only $55. If you are looking for something relaxing, calming, and gentle, do the foot massage! I think I drifted off to sleep at one point. While your feet are soaking you also get a face/head/scalp/ neck/top of shoulders massage. If you really have some knots that need to be worked out, get the body massage. My practitioner was powerful and applied a good deal of pressure, which was great. I feel she did a great job, and they even do hot stones as part of your massage. While she was great with draping the sheet, just know that the glutes are part of the massage, so if you don't want the sheet to go past your low back, you should mention that. The checkout process had a little bit of a language barrier, but what I understood is that you can't add a tip after you run your card, so they ask for the total you want to give and they enter that number. And then I saw a sign that they prefer cash for tips. I'm Sure it's easier to give their practitioners their tips at the end of their day that way. This place is great. I had a treatment there during a 7 day bicycle ride from SF to LA and was very sore. My therapist (unfortunately I don't recall her name) really loosened up my sore muscles. It was very deep massage and I was trying not to scream, but at the end of it I felt like a new man. read more

Updated review: Been making trips from San Francisco to come here, I'm a regular here. Some of the staff from before has left and has been replaced by new staff, Tom and Grace (the owners) are still here (obviously), both are extremely great and could easily recommend either of them. I usually get massages from Grace. Staff are all extremely pleasant, nice to be around, don't overcharge/are completely honest, and really great masseuses. _________ Alright, I don't go on Yelp much but when I do, it's either to complain about how bad a place is or how remarkable a place is. Let me tell you, this place is amazing. Found this place by accident, glad I did. Hands down best massage place I've ever been to. Masseuses are not only, extremely nice but also are highly experienced! At this price point they easily blow away competition without a doubt, post massage may want to make you cry (from how good it was). Anyways, Would definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area! Can I please move in? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I live 3.5 hours away from here but every time I come here I make a point to book a massage at Zen Relax. I had Tom the first three times. Yesterday, I got the female masseuse and was worried she won't be as good as Tom but OMG she was divine. I love deep tissue massages and it seems that here at Zen Relax they have one set process, no matter the masseuse or masseur. I love it that they take a long time with the initial part when massaging through the sheet, pressing, pulling and pushing for long minutes to really relax that tissue. read more

We loved our couples massage. We were able to book a same-day appointment, which I really appreciated. The 60 minute full body massage featured a lot of pressure-point work giving the experience very healing and therapeutic feel. We will be back. PS. This is in a strip mall next to a smoke shop. Just found this spa by accident as I am driving trough Atascadero, apparently they just opened . I drive a lot for my work up and down the state and my back and neck gets Really soar and tired. Went in with out knowing this place or having an appointment , they greeted me with a smile and a sweet hello. The place was brand new and smelling very fresh and clean. I asked among two or 3 technicians who is the best and can take my back pain away , they all volunteered with a smile . The very nice young lady who gave me massage was very professional and knew her trade very well, and very experienced . The price was very fair for the quality of the massage . I just woke up from a great night of sleep after my very relaxing massage last night and remembered to praise this place . I stopped at this newer foot spa in Atascadero on a whim, and boy am I glad I did! The spa is clean, which is a big deal to most, and everything is tastefully decorated with a truly relaxing environment. TOM is THA MAN!!!!!! He gave me one of the BEST foot massages I've had in ages! He was amazing! It is notable that I went back a second time and had a different masseuse who was not quite as stellar, so I'll be careful to actually make an appointment next time, but it was still a good experience. We both did the 60 minute combo. 30 min body and 30 min feet for $55. Great deal. My husband loved the massage and would prefer to do only massage. Oh my gosh, what a great therapeutic massage. Grace is a absolute master of her craft. I have daily chronic headaches and back pains, but I left pain free. Deep tissue, stretching, and a lot of elbows did the trick. Been to multiple LMT's that cant hold a candle to Ms. Grace. read more

I tried out this new spa yesterday which just opened recently. It was clean and new looking and I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist staff. They were able to see me for a one hour deep tissue massage for my sore back with only a 5 minute wait. I was happy with the treatment and felt much looser and better afterwards. The therapist named summer had very strong hands and opened up the knots in my back with professional skill. I was a little apprehensive trying out a new place, but afterwards I was glad I tried this place out. My experience here was good and they seem to try hard to do a good job for the client. read more
