Herbal tea on arrival, one hour gentle massage from Don, a foot soak and a light lunch, manicure (his very first), pedicure (his feet never looked better) and facial from Melissa, Dad practically floated home. He loved every minute, was still floating 2 days later. As he wrote us: "It's luxurious, yes, but also therapeutic, a body healing. Medicare should include it." And I suspect he will be back. After the massage was over, I thought "well, that was okay" However, the next morning I noticed that the nagging pain in my left shoulder was gone! I had injured the shoulder in a fall during hiking 3 years ago and I have had recurring pain, which in the last year turned to constant pain at a level of 4-5. Not to mention reduced range of motion. I have been to an orthopedist twice and the only solution he offered was surgery. I am so happy with the results. I can now play guitar again with no pain. I consider this a minor miracle, or better yet, a testimony to her healing skills. I am so happy with the results. Will the pain return? Maybe, but it hasn't for a month now and I am optimistic. Heather was helpful in taking info to verify my claim for them to bill but then she never called me back (it's been a couple weeks now) so I gave up and went to Dr. Becker who I am very happy with. I have been to many chiropractors, I imagine the doctor himself could be very talented but these over-staffed types of offices tend to run a lot of patients through. If you have insurance paying then you probably don't care about the cost. If you are out-of-pocket like me then you might want to find a smaller office that can give more individual attention. Again, the doc might be great but with the lack of callback, I wasn't happy with the customer service. Another employee there got snippy with me when I simply tried to leave my insurance person a voicemail about the billing, I called from inside the office when there were no other patients there and was ordered out of the office. I was not speaking any louder than their staff when they are on the phone.

Working with Shawn has been an extremely positive experience both physically and spiritually. I've recovered flexibility I've not seen since college, my core is stronger, I no longer have ANY back pain, I feel healthier and I'm back to running pain free. Just being pain free has made my visits well worthwhile. The improvements in my running are icing on the cake. Sessions with Shawn are great. Initially he focused on relieving my back issues and now he focuses on getting me more efficient in my running while maintaining a healthy and sound body. Throughout it all Shawn has given me exercises to do at home and has, in a sense, become my coach and also my friend. I think having been a professional athlete has helped Shawn to become a master of his craft. He's an extremely knowledgeable body/mind therapist but what I find most important is that Shawn listens and truly cares. I recently ran a very challenging 50k up and down the Mogollon Rim and won my age group. I probably wouldn't have made the starting line without Shawn's help. I very highly recommend Shawn.

I called to book a 90-minute deep tissue massage, however they did not ask my name or really even care to confirm my visit time, so I thought ok fine, I'll just show up and hope for the best! Once I arrived I was kindly greeted, asked about my preferences and led into a nice, but somewhat "central" massage room. I am VERY used to receiving massages, but somehow this whole operation seemed a little rushed. Once I was on the massage table, my masseuse was very kind, asking questions to ensure I was comfortable, and provided a very nice massage session. However, these massage rooms are barely "rooms", and you can hear every patron entering, leaving, paying, talking, and even the music from the neighboring restaurants in the shopping center. My masseuse did his best to create a relaxing environment, utilizing a space heater and creating some white noise, but it was ultimately overshadowed by the staff having to speak from room-to-room to eachother mid-session, to ensure other patrons needs were being met. That being said, it was a nice massage. I was relaxed and felt great, until it came time to check-out... My 90-minute massage was fair, and cost $92, as advertised. Upon trying to leave a cash tip (I thought $10 would suffice) after paying by card. I was basically told that my tip amount was insufficient and that I would need to swipe my card again. Feeling bad, I did, only for the masseuse to FILL OUT HIS OWN determined tip on the iPad--an extra $15. I was honestly so taken aback that I didn't truly realize how violating it was until I left the building. It made the whole experience feel very scam-like, and unfortunately I don't plan to return, but if anyone reading this does want to give Panda Massage a try, do NOT let yourself be conned into tipping more than you feel appropriate!
