KungFu Connection is one of those rare places that gets it right. From the first day, the Sifus show you that this is real martial arts -- not watered down, not a performance for social media -- but taught properly, with respect for the arts and the students. So far, I've trained in Kali, Jeet Kune Do, and Tai Chi, and each class has been a reminder of how much difference good teaching makes. No shortcuts, no gimmicks. If my health allows it, I'll eventually give Shaolin Kung Fu a try too. They also regularly schedule some great seminars. I'm actually excited because tomorrow I'll be doing one on Buka Jalan Pentjak Silat with Sifu Greg Pichardo. The environment is serious when it needs to be, but not stiff. People work hard, but there's also a real sense of community. My youngest son trains in the Little Dragons class and loves it. They even have a resident dog, Thor, who is pretty much part of the family and loved by everyone -- young and old alike. I emailed, texted and left voicemails stating I could no longer attend and the $178 was taken from my account anyway. I left another voicemail requesting fee reversal but no response and no reversal. I had to stop my credit card so they don't continue taking my money. Not a good way to do business, not a nice way to treat people
