MUST TRY. I love trying new workout classes, usually less contact like yoga. This one in particular my boyfriend suggested and I was slightly nervous - although I didn't need to be. Krav Maga is a skill set that is very useful for self defense. They have 2 main rooms to teach where they can separate between advance and beginner students. We did their level one and they were so accommodating and considerate that I had a hand injury. They visually showed us techniques and had us partner up and practice ourselves, always correcting and encouraging along the way. We practiced pretend real world scenarios of attackers attempting to choke and grab and how we can overpower them to escape. They provide kicking and punching pads during the practice. The whole experience was enjoyable and fun. I would love to bring my dad here. We had the pleasure to meet the owner Randall who showed us around the studio, that is also super clean and maintained, and Kim our level one instructor. They were both such cool genuine people. I definitely recommend the studio for their quality in teaching, supplies and personalities! read more

I've been attending this Krav self-defense school for some time now, and my experience has been extremely positive. Randal and his team of instructors are very patient, knowledgeable, and experienced, and they take the time to work with each student individually. They understand that people learn in different ways--whether visually, audibly, hands-on, or a combination of all three--and they do an excellent job accommodating every learning style. The classes are very well structured and place a strong emphasis on realistic, real-world scenarios while still prioritizing safety and injury prevention. The facility is clean and well maintained, with plenty of equipment available for training and drills. The students also contribute to a great training environment. Everyone looks out for one another, which makes the realistic drills both effective and safe. My husband & I are embarking on a 14 month cross country trip and were looking for alternative self defense to a firearm. After researching we elected to go the route of acquiring a taser but wanted to get trained properly on it. Krav is the only location who offers excellent training - video and hands on application. Congratulations, you have found your Martial Arts school. I tried a couple of schools looking to learn practical self defense. Randall's by far was the best one. There are no formal belts or uniform, Randall doesn't try to pitch you to join, classes are practical dirty street fighting (in a safe and ethical manner), the instructors Randall, Kim, & Ruby are all fantastic and have experience, and all the serious people with the right work ethic go here. The classes are worth me commuting 30 minutes one way through South Florida's nightmare of a traffic. read more

When Covid hit and my new job was a lot of heavy lifting, it was a convenient excuse to take a two-year hiatus. What a mistake. I love this training center! It is a great gym for people of ALL ages who want a fun and interesting way to get into shape while simultaneously learning how to defend themselves with Krav Maga (the Israeli self-defense discipline, which is what you see all the "good guys" using in any action movie!) I am 58, and my knees and back used to bother me a lot. After five months of training in Krav Maga, I am very grateful at how agile and strong I have become. I used to dread the boot camps and weight lifting that I did for 20 years, but now, I look forward to my three training sessions each week spent learning Krav Maga. I learn something new and interesting in each class, and it is an excellent, interactive crowd of instructors and students. The owner (Randel Koch) is a perfectionist who has multiple black belts and now specializes in Krav Maga. He's knowledgeable, interesting, talented, and makes you work extremely hard. I joined Krav Maga Worldwide Official Training Center - Pompano Beach about 4 months ago and I'm so glad I did. The self-defense training is excellent, with constant reference to real life situations and potential applications. This is invaluable for me as a female who often travels solo. The owner/instructor, Randall KocM, is meticulous about technique and form, and is a very detailed and patient teacher. Classes are well structured and intense, and work for both beginners and more advanced students since you progress at your own pace. Classes offered cover self-defense, sparring, ground fighting and kickboxing, and they're all open to students of every level. At KMWOTC I found a dedicated instructor who will teach his students as little or as much as they're willing to learn. And I also found a group of awesome people to train with.
