Basically it is cheaper than most of regular day cares. I totally recommend it, I know how many parents want their kids to go and the first day go to black diamond - it will not happen. But they do work with your kid, some times maybe they have too big groups and your kid will not get as much attention but you if you want one - go for private lessons. They love all kids and make sure kids fall in love with skiing/snowboarding and have fun all day. My daughter is 4 and it took about 6-7 lessons for her to go to real lift. Now she skies blue ones and even blacks. Now she skies in group of one teacher and 2-3 kids and sometimes just even only 2 kids for the whole day. It is almost semi-private lesson, which cost $200 per hour and you pay $59 per day. You can use your package any day during the season. It is good to have reservation for holidays but normal weekends we come and get the spot right away with no problem. The best thing about the school is that we have all day for ourselves while our kid is having fun. Totally recommend for all parents just don't push your kids too much:)

In particular, we'd highly recommend Leanna as a great instructor. The best deal is the 3-pack of lessons, you practically get the third lesson for free. We opted for all-day lessons and they were perfect for our daughter, although many kiddos did not make it all day. Lessons start at 9:15 and include equipment (boots and skis). They get snack and lunch and pickup is at 3:30. There's also daycare, which we used for our youngest that is pretty affordable so Mom and Dad can go skiing.

We had learned of Creekside Charter via a friend whose family relocated a couple of years ago when they got a spot. It's a small school, only 1 class in each grade with 20 students. In six months our kids have gone from below or at grade level in their subjects to above grade level in every subject. They do require 50% more homework(at least) our kids spend 2-3 hrs doing their homework daily, as compared to 45-1 hr at their old schools. You'd think they'd hate it, but actually they're so pleased to be doing so well and succeeding that they actually complain less than at their old school. Their common core testing went through the roof (better than Mill Valley and Ross Valley!) Friday is independent study which takes my kids 4/5 hours(were told by several parents/administrators that as they get used to the higher educational expectations...they will get quicker as time goes by. Their screen time is around 30-60 min a day, as opposed to 2-3 hours daily as a result. But now it's a treat rather than the norm. We couldn't be happier. More importantly our 5th graders are thriving and proud of themselves, more involved and excited about school again (something I couldn't say the previous 2-3 years!) Outstanding!

I would recommend this course to anyone. The school has an open door policy that allows all its students past and present to attend classes, lectures or return to practice. The class size is kept small so that you can get help whenever you need it. You can contact multiple teachers and ask questions whenever needed. I had the misfortune of going through his program in 2024 and it was the worst experience ever. He doesn't teach you anything of importance, rather reads off the book for hours on end and shows you straight up gore, which I understand to scare young drivers to be safe and cautious, but I fear the message was lost. He would throw fits over every little thing, harass students and call police on them over minor things. God forbid you doodle (which for some reason he hates), or you glance at your phone, but he would have his loud ringtone "TNT" blaring every five seconds, and now I literally feel dread and misery anytime I hear that song now. If you love your kid, you won't put them through this. I'm pretty sure he's banned from teaching in my town because of his crazy freak out during my class where he screamed at us, and made students so afraid and upset they called their parents and who came in to sit in, along with the owner of the building to make sure he wasn't still being crazy. I can't believe he's still teaching out there somewhere.
