    Dog friendly beach.

Zephyr Cove Resort provided us with a wonderful Lake Tahoe getaway, offering a seamless check-in process thanks to Daniel at the front desk. However, the initial booking challenges, due to the six-month advance requirement, we had to book two reservations. We so loved our initial spot for three days, and while the second location was just okay, the proximity to the lake--only five minutes away--made up for it. We book travel with our dog in mind and this resort offers a beautiful, dog-friendly beach section that offers ample space and a relaxed atmosphere. Our dog loved it. Nothing like the entire family at the beach. Of course-Always leave -no trace behind. The resort's amenities like paddle board, kayak, boat, and jet ski rentals are a great addition. Nice to see the many options. We, however- prefer bringing our own water toys. The stunning sunsets, shallow swimming areas, and crystal-clear water made for an idyllic retreat. We're eager to return, ideally securing one lovely desirable campsite. Special thank you to Daniel and Bobby for great service.

We love the cabins. Hadn't been in years. Came up with family & stayed in #9 & #10. Both really spacious with full kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, fireplace and great view of the lake. Both dog friendly. Check in went smoothly. Property is nice and manicured. Beautiful trails to walk with or without pets. Nice pet friendly beach, huge plus! BBQ & huge picnic table out front.

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and had a blast! The location is close to Stateline & other popular beaches/activities. We didn't have any issues with noise since we are early risers, but people start getting to the beach very early so be aware of that! There is also no AC of course and the cabins are prone to bugs like wasps/bees/spiders etc!

We had a lovely Sunset Wine Tasting cruise. The wines and appetizers were tasty. The lake was beautiful and the ride was so smooth. We were surprised to cruise all the way to Emerald Bay during our journey. The yacht provided for an intimate outing and everything about the trip was perfect!

1st time here I am glad we stayed the weekend. The grounds are clean and across from the lake. The general store is also across the street attached to the restaurant. There are 2 properties 1 is the cabins on the lake and the RV resort across the street. We stayed in the RV resort and they also have an area for those who are in tents. The RV sights have full hook and a propane station. You are able to use the fire pit so bring the fire wood. This resort is just 5 miles from the casinos and hotels for those wanting a little night life, shopping or just a bit to eat. The only problem we had was the water hook up leaked and we could only use when needed.

Bathroom had black mold around the tub and on the ceiling and walls. The shower curtain was dirty. The floors hadn't been swept with hair and debris everywhere. Trash was found under the bed. The rest of the cabin was in order, just older and in need of a deep cleaning (cobwebs, dust etc) If mold sensitivity is a concern you might want to explore other cabins. FYI, I notified management with zero response.

We have been camping here for two days, and we have had a good time. They could use a little finesse, but so far we are delighted with the service and a very good place to camp with your RV.

Campground from Hell! Arrived early with a dog who diarrhead in my car and they wouldn't let us set up early despite there being no one in our ADA site. Now let's talk about this ADA site. It was more than halfway in on a steep hill. Unlevel spot hard to back our travel trailer into. Hard to walk anywhere from this spot (183) bc of hills every direction. It's across from a site where employees live brought in on a Visa from Europe. They don't help. Just zoom around in their golf cart all day talking to each other. In fact threatened us that WE were loud ignoring other people's loud music in this trailer trash place after 10 pm. The bathrooms are NOT in compliance with ADA standards. I may turn them in for this alone let alone the abuse to a handicapped person. No seat to sit. There is nowhere to put your shampoo, soap, razor in the shower section and the other side has a seat and shelf where you keep things supposedly dry. No shower curtains so everything gets wet. No adjusting the shower head. Toilets are in separate rooms. Just an outdated very bad setup. This place is a dirt pit!! Rocks and dirt everywhere. No grass for dogs to relieve themselves. Garbage cans are sparse. No one in the office regularly to assist. The ONLY positive about this place is it's across the street from the Zephyr Cove beach and parking is FREE there if staying at this campground. But Camp Richardson looked far nicer and has a similar setup and their reviews are better.

We came up to Zephyr cove July 1st-3rd and stayed in one of the air streams. First off the staff here was friendly and the air stream itself was ok. It's what we expected from an air stream. Shower is a little small but the bed was comfy. I think our biggest problem was the lack of utensils, cookware, and bbq tongs etc. when I mean lack there were NONE! Not one bowl, plate, utensils, NOTHING. We asked the guy who gave us the keys to the #2 airstream and he said we were supposed to bring our own paper plates etc. The description of the airstream is false. We had to use our friend's camping supplies to BBQ. Extremely disappointed by this. Other than that it's a nice camp ground.

Worst spot for RV or any camping hands down, 5 feet from the main highway, dirty small sites
    Ryan C.

Close this place downs absolutely the worse place to stay in Tahoe hands down, just a matter of time before this place is closed down. Watch out for this place they will move your camp site without telling you, or your cabin. Booked 6 months prior and drove 8 hours to find out the airstream zephyr rental was moved from it's nice location to 5 feet from a cross walk and busy highway. At least we got our money back but not even an apology in fact they laughed at my two young boys (8&11) while they where very upset we drove for no reason to just have to drive home. Wouldn't believe the competence and unprofessionalism of the staff, not one of them is from Tahoe and barely speaks English. I understand seem to know anything about the property or with willing to help in any way. It's just a matter of time before this place gets bought out what a shame. 100% never got to zypher cove resort. If I could I would give it negative stars

Site 151 next to restroom. Restroom building closed for the season but the main restroom is still open.

After a half-dozen visits here this summer, I can say that Round Hill is a fantastic beach to enjoy a Tahoe visit. They have everything! Plenty of beach space, water sports rentals, boating access, a snack bar, restaurant, and beach side tiki bar. They are also the new home of the classic Rum Runner drink since The Beacon over at Camp Richardson is no more. Winning! Pro Tip: Parking is free after 5PM. An evening visit can be a great way to end your day! Otherwise parking is only $12. Honestly, some reviewers complain about this place as being busy, too small, or not having the best view due to the boats moored here. While they aren't wrong, I think they just don't get it. Round Hill Pines isn't about being a huge beach with perfect views. Its a small locals spot which offers affordable beach access with great amenities. Don't be a hater! Tahoe love!

The grounds of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the beach watching the sunset over Lake Tahoe. I love that they offer fun activities such as board games and s'mores around the fire. They offer morning, yoga classes by the lake as well as lawn games like cornhole. The pool looked wonderful, although we did not partake. This is definitely a spot you would want to come if you were celebrating a wedding or an anniversary. We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. We typically stay at Edgewood when visiting South Lake Tahoe, but decided to try something different this time. Unfortunately, the stay got off to a rough start. We arrived around noon on Friday and were told our room was ready, even though official check-in is at 4 PM. When we went up, housekeeping was still cleaning and informed us it would be another 30 minutes. Later, the manager called to apologize and explained that we had been given the wrong room number. He asked for permission to have staff move our belongings to the correct room. While the apology was appreciated, it wasn't a great first impression and set the tone for the rest of the stay. There is no room service, despite having an onsite restaurant (Fire + Ice), which was disappointing after a long travel day. I also asked the front desk if they had honey so I could make green tea in our room and was told they didn't. For a Marriott property, that felt surprising and oddly basic. Housekeeping is not provided daily. There was no one to make the bed or tidy up during our stay. While we were told we could call if we needed anything, it still felt like a noticeable downgrade in service for a hotel at this price point. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the only complimentary item offered was a single homemade cookie, handed out individually. On Saturday, hot chocolate was available, but it was $5 per cup. Charging for hot water, cocoa powder, and a few marshmallows felt nickel-and-dimey, especially at a resort-style hotel. The biggest frustration, however, was the constant timeshare solicitation. Immediately after checking in, we were approached at the concierge desk and pitched a "promotion." We declined. Later that same day, we were approached again and declined once more. Then on Saturday evening at 7 PM, my personal cell phone rang with caller ID showing Marriott. It was the same person calling yet again to pitch the timeshare. While a gift card was offered, not everyone is interested in $200. Our vacation time is more valuable than sitting through a 90-minute sales presentation. After declining multiple times, the continued follow-up felt unprofessional. A clear "no" should be noted and respected. The room itself was nice. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living area, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The layout was functional for families, with two TVs and a sofa bed in the living room. However, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult, especially after long days out. There was a simple welcome note in the room, but no other welcome amenity. We weren't expecting much, just a small thoughtful touch. The property does offer an outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, open from 8 AM to 10 PM, which is a nice amenity for families and for unwinding after a day out. Checkout is at 10 AM, which feels early. Many comparable hotels offer at least an 11 AM checkout. In our case, by Sunday morning we were so eager to leave due to the overall experience that we checked out at 8:00 AM. We genuinely couldn't wait to go. Overall, while the location and room layout are strong, the lack of basic hospitality, repeated sales pressure, limited housekeeping, and early missteps made this stay feel more transactional than relaxing. For the price and the Marriott name, I expected a far more polished experience. We would not choose to stay here again.

The ambiance is old world Swiss/Tyrolean. There's a nice sense of privacy with the units spaced so you don't feel crammed together. All downstairs units have their own dog runs easily accessible through doggy doors, and come to think of it I rarely heard other people's dogs. Real stone fireplaces too. It's located an easy 5 minutes from Stateline, has nearby restaurants and a Safeway, but is also just far enough away from the congestion of South Lake Tahoe to have you believing the Ponderosa must be just around the corner. This is the sort of place that has great character, is perfect for pets and families, and people end up coming back again and again.

Other than that unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay. The "cabin" I stayed in was dusty, dingy and creepy. There was a photo of two little kids holding hands in the bathroom and it was filthy. The paintings in the bedroom were creepy and the lock on the water heater closet was also unsettling. Furthermore, the guest in the room above me was stomping around and creeking the entire time I was there making me uncomfortable and I could not sleep at all. The entire set up is very strange and if some redecorating and perhaps cleaning were arranged it would be a nice place to stay. It's unfortunate because I had considered renting for the month. I cleaned the shit out of the cabin I stayed in and honestly I feel like they should have paid me to stay there.

1 of 2 Yelp Reviews…read more We were Heavenly customers before Vail Resorts bought them in March of 2002. Our season pass also applies to Northstar, acquired in October 2010, and Kirkwood, acquired in April 2012. I am very happy with all the acquisitions; I feel I am getting a better value from my season pass. But now that I am a loyal Mt Rose customer, it gets harder and harder to come to the Vail/Epic resorts... Quality/Quantity - My favorite lifts and runs are at Heavenly Ski Resort. And more specifically, at the Stagecoach lift!! Long lift, long run, less people. Too bad the season is over and the NV side is closed. And due to the poor season and lack of snow, we needed to shuttle from the Sky/Canyon lift to the Gondola chairs (Dipper and Comet lifts)?!?! Lastly, the Tamarack lift opened half an hour late, not until 9:30am! Today was my worst day at Heavenly EVER!! Two seasons ago, I broke my vertical record with my daughter!! And on a Sunday! Ambiance - See above. Public paid parking lots. But today, my wife dropped me off and went to the lake house to relax. Well to check on the property. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm. Service - Plenty of employees today, thank you. Price - I have a season pass. But due to the poor season and me being too lazy to drive an hour to ski, I have only used it once. This was one expensive day! I will probably not renew my pass for next season... Sadly. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your successes with your 42 resorts in 3 countries. Look forward to skiing as many of your properties as possible.

This is really nice Do you have a place called Café blue up here but it may not always be open. Probably just opened on weekends and other busy ski days. What's nice is that you can bring a little lunch up here even if you're not gonna ride or ski and just hang out in the sun and look at the mountains. Bring binoculars, a picnic and maybe a telephone lens if you want to get some nifty shots. note that the photos of the EV charging are way over near California Lodge access via saddle Road.

This year, a sewer line in the lake broke meaning no running water. After several calls, Brandon had no alternative place for our family to stay. We ended up in a hotel with bags and boxes all around us. We paid for that experience on top of the house rental. He only returned our money for the house after several more phone calls and several more days. The agreed upon morning we left Tahoe and returned to the house to pick up the last of our belongings in the garage, he had his cleaning lady there on the phone to him telling us we had to leave. We told her she could start cleaning and that we would be out of there ASAP. But Brandon called my husband to tell him to hurry and get out. We were easily going to be out before the 11:00 deadline. Why be so unkind if the house had no running water and was unable to be used? RUN, do not walk away from Brandon. He is disreputable. As an update: Brandon messaged my husband to call me a liar about this review. (There were 5 adults on our trip who experienced this.) His unprofessionalism in texting us after what we went through because his feelings were hurt by reading an honest review, just makes my point even stronger. Second update: 8 days after getting home, Brandon is still calling me a liar. Please do read other recent reviews. One on Birdeye just 3 months ago, describes Brandon's response to renters in a situation they had no control of and his follow up contact after reading their reviews which was described as "aggressive and disrespectful." Brandon gets very few details right of this bigger picture he creates below 1. We were not met at the front door when we returned from our day around the lake. There was a team of Douglas county workers out back. They DID NOT say that the damage was solely due to lake levels and DID NOT say that it hadn't been repaired because of lake levels. They were concerned with fixing the line at all (although other properties were able to be fixed that DO NOT share this same wall) because the sea wall at this property was not built properly nor being repaired in the proper way, According to the professionals, the cost of doing it correctly was a point of contention. Douglas county couldn't cough up the ten grand and the owner wasn't either. The line would continue to break each time the waves got rough. One worker commented, "I can't believe they rented this place out." 2. We did not store ALL of our belongings in the garage. We spent 2 days cleaning out the house of 2/3 of our belongings which we crammed into 2 hotel rooms for 5 people. Only the things we couldn't fit stayed in the garage because we couldn't afford another room and Brandon was not interested in covering any of the costs of our move. As no one could use the property, this wasn't an inconvenience to anyone While my husband and I moved belongings and threw away the food and meals we had bought and prepared, my son used the wi-fi to take his online college course. The hotel only had an unsecure connection. We only left some supplements and medicine in the fridge until our departure day. We did not use the fridge other than storage. We had wanted to use the Marla Bay beach to at least be able to swim in the lake, but the codes were changed. My husband *had* asked to sit on the back porch, but everything was a negotiation (nothing was done with kindness) and the house was just a reminder of how awful the trip had turned out. We didn't do that either. 3. We DID NOT stay there for 5 uninterrupted nights before the line broke. It was 4 (details should be accurate) and included , as it has every year, cleaning bathrooms, dishes, utensils, and glasses. To think that including the cleaning deposit in the refund we waited 8 days for was some act of benevolence is laughable. 4. He did print my husband a check. I guess he can celebrate that truth. It was the day before we left and he had tried to postpone the meeting twice because he's busy. He threw an unfeeling "sorry" over his shoulder as my husband left. We cashed the check that day because of our experience. We have never been treated with the indifference that Brandon showed us. We have been staying in Tahoe for 20 years. Sixteen of those years were with other agencies. We know Tahoe is wonderful. We know what other agencies are capable of just as we now see what Brandon is capable of. I'm sure he'll send my husband another text. If Brandon had spent the time and energy to take care of his renters that he has spent responding to bad reviews, he may not get bad reviews. BTW. The helpful score below is from my friends who know me to tell the truth.
