Red Bean Milk Tea with Lychee Popping Boba
    Stephanie B.

Fresh food, good service and plenty of areas to sit! There are a selection of asian-sourced gifts as well. Parking is plentiful because it's across from the East-side Kroger strip. I strongly recommend the popcorn chicken!

Coming from Indy, the prices of bubble tea here are relatively cheap ($4-5) and there's a tonnnn of options for boba and tea flavors. Taste is definitely a 4/5 overall. The place has great seating to hangout with friends and is open pretty late, which is very convenient.

A fun place with lots of drink options! So many boba & toppings to choose from! The decor is very cute and it has a very casual vibe. My only complaint is sometimes you can't hear the staff call out orders over the music. I also wish each order had a number instead of just calling out the item name.

Let's be clear. . . I know next to nothing about Boba Tea. Or types, culture, or anything related to it - other than I like some of it. After dinner at the restaurant next door (review coming soon) I wasn't quite ready to head home and had always wanted to try the Zero Degrees place. My son (15) and I went in and were the only people present other than the young lady working there. It's counter service, with a full menu of options posted - milk teas, boba choices, smoothies, and more. I had a pineapple milk tea with boba and son had a banana-strawberry smoothie. My tea was great, and I enjoyed it - but when they made the smoothie with real strawberries and an actual banana, I knew I had ordered the wrong thing. So many smoothies are just a mix. Tasted his and it was terrific. It's a small place but has plenty of seating. Some ramen options too I think. I'm going back, need one of those smoothies!!!

I absolutely love this place! I actually went here twice on Thursday (once for bubble tea and egg waffle and the other for a Korean corn dog). The Korean corn dogs are the best I have ever had! The snow ice is very delicious too. My only complaint is sometimes the service is quite slow if they are busy but the quality of food and drink makes up for it!

I ordered the Korean Rib Rice, it was $15 and they deadass only gave me 3 pieces of meat LMAOOOOO look at the picture bruh I contacted the delivery service to get a refund and the service contacted the restaurant for me, the restaurant said that it was the CORRECT PORTION but the delivery service gave me a refund anyways. They really acting like this meat is wagyu, $5 per piece????? Do you think I'm stupid LMAO biggest scam after big pharma

Iced milk with pudding & honey boba ($4.45)
    Tiffany S.

I love that they have iced milk drink at Zero Degrees. It's not quite as good as Half & Half in Los Angeles, but it'll do. Even though I ordered half sugar, the drink was still super sweet. The boba was nice and Q though (aka chewy/al dente) and the pudding was soft and sweet. The iced milk drink is a pretty steep at $4.45 for a small. Other milk tea drinks are $3.45 for a small. Their Thai Milk Tea is a little bit...unexpected. They do call it a Thai Milk Tea as opposed to a Thai Iced Tea so it's definitely more milk-y. My friend added more black tea to it to have a more "Thai Tea" taste. It's still good overall though! I'll be back to try Zero Degrees Snow Ice when it's a little warmer. Don't think I'll be trying the savory food here any time soon though!

    Server sitting on counter

By far the worst Boba place I have been to in town. The service was terrible, server was sitting on the counter on her phone, she was rude when we asked about menu items and did not help. Rolled her eyes when I asked for ice for my boba tea that was warm. Ramen was lukewarm when it came out. Uncensored rap music was blasting in the building. This experience costed $37 for 2 ramen and 2 teas. Not coming back.

The place is really cozy, I decided to eat outside on the patio as it sprinkled. They also sell some snacks and frozen goods you would find at an Asian grocer. Firstly, the prices here are amazing. I spent a little under $20 dollars and I got a large bowl of Jjam-Ppong Ramen and Bugolgi Kimbap. It also came with a side of Kimchi and Macaroni Salad. The food came out relatively quick despite there being maybe one staff member there at the time. The Jjam-Ppong Ramen was great! The noodles had the perfect amount of chew and there was a decent amount of seafood in the dish considering it was only about $9. It was also the perfect amount of spice, I think even those who don't like spicy food could manage with this one. The Kimbap was also really good and had refreshing flavor with the pickles and veggies. The cheese was a nice addition. Overall I totally recommend this place. The quality for the price is amazing here, and the atmosphere is cute as well. One of my favorites in Bloomington.

Ami is mainly a Sushi restaurant, but has Korean accents, of which my Cupbap bowl (Chicken and Rice) was quite good. I'm completely clueless regarding Sushi nomenclature, but I did know that those choices (in generous quantity) were enjoyed by the other 5 folks at the table. I was the only one that ordered beer, of which my Upland Dragonfly IPA choice had just the right amount of bite and at only $5. We also had a nice roomy table by the window. Not comparable to what you get if you visit a real Japanese curry house, but still delicious. The menu marks it as spicy but, while it was warming and hearty, I didn't think it was very spicy. I like how they prepare their tofu - the texture is perfect for holding sauce. The lavender milk tea was the basic stuff from a premade mix. Not bad but not great. I think they may just have used too much of the mix because the drink was very sweet and a little thick. The grass jelly was also firmer than usual so I suspect this was a premade canned brand of not particularly high quality. I do sometimes like bubble tea made from tea mixes, so I might try different flavours and toppings to see if other options are better. They had regular waiter service this time. I also ordered an americano coffee, the cashier didn't really offer cream or sugar... so I had it black which is fine, but bc of how stale the cake was, it did not help the coffee any. I'm hoping it was just an off day. The young cashier seemed like she did not want to be there and I totally feel her, I remember being that age and not wanting to work, so it may also be a staffing issue as well. We started with the ttuk kko chi which were rice cakes covered in a gochujang sauce. The cakes were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The sauce it was in was amazing, balancing the heat from the gochujang with some sweetness. Next, we got the Korean fried chicken (they were out of KFC wings). I remember the sauce being a little more red last time, but it was still good. Super crispy exterior and no excess batter so we just tasted the juicy chicken. The two entrees we got were the spicy chicken and jaeyuk. The spicy chicken was flavorful and tender. Along with the chicken, the veggies were stir fried nicely and coated in the broth. The jaeyuk was a little better with the pork having a great marinade and also being super tender. On top of the food we ordered, we were given a salad, soup, and rice which were all nice accompaniments. This was the meal I was looking forward to the most in my return and it did not disappoint. The only and I mean only thing to change is having bigger napkins on the table. Everything else is great and most importantly all the food is delicious.

It's counter service, so it pays to take a look at the menu in advance and know what you want before you arrive. Paid at the counter, and they came to our table with the food very quickly. I had the 'Be Kind to Each Other' Chicken Pho which came with the usual sides of sprouts, basil, lime and noodles. You could upgrade your noodles if you wanted. I also added an order of cajun fries, which doesn't really seem like a 'Vietnamese Fusion' choice, but I love cajun fries so who was I to question them? The Pho was terrific. Loved it. The fries were very very good, though maybe a bit generous on the cajun. Still very good, and I definitely will return for this meal again. Friend ordered the Spam Banh Mi. Seriously???? Well, he did. And he said it was very good. You actually pay $0.50 extra for spam. Again, not sure what world you pay extra for the Spam but he did it. He selected the Fire Engine Tim sauce, which was to be spicy. When I pressed him for more details on the quality he said it could be spicier even with that sauce, but otherwise it was very good. He said to point out on Yelp that "That Diet Coke was clutch" - he may have been making fun of my questioning :) All in all a very good experience and I'll definitely return. I don't find much good pho in Bloomington, so it's nice to have a place for that. I won't be eating Spam anytime soon. I'm giving 4 stars only because the seating was a bit cramped and it was busy inside. I would go 4.5 if it weren't in a strip mall and pretty 'basic' ambiance. And that canned Diet Coke is clutch!
