Zero Degrees has done a great job catching my attention on Instagram with their colorful drinks. Unfortunately there aren't many locations in California, so I made sure to add a pitstop at Zero Degrees on our last day in Oregon. We got all the pretty colorful drinks that we wanted to try - mangonada, ube milkshake, pina colada, and strawberry cheesecake. I have to say that the mangonada really stood out because the savoriness from the chamoy and Tajin really complemented the sweetness of the mango slush. The ube milkshake was the second best and was a good blend of ube, milk, and oreo. All in all the drinks were refreshing. Despite their big size (22oz), they weren't too sugary and were in fact somewhat light. Hopefully Zero Degrees will open more stores in California in the future! read more

Really good and creative drinks, I really like the strabwrry lychee one and both lemonades/limeade. I tried connecting to the "Zero Degrees Guest" wifi that had 3 bars in store, and asked for the password and staff paused then said it wasn't working. At the risk of being Karen, I have to share my 1 minute experience at Zero Degrees. My bf and I love bubble tea. We just returned to Eugene from the boba capital of the PNW, Portland. I think there's 1.2 people per bubble tea shop in PDX. Anyway, there's only a few choices for this drink/meal replacement/treat here in Eugene so, after visiting Bobahead several times already, today I thought I'd try something different- I've been to the Zero Degrees in PDX and it's not my favorite- but options are limited here... I pulled into the parking lot off Coburg Road; Zero Degrees is empty except for the couple in line before me. They confidently ordered their drinks. I didn't see my familiar favorites so I asked the person at the cash register "what is the Phoenix Oolong" and she replied "I don't know". I then said "I usually order Brown Sugar Milk Tea, is yours made with Black Tea?" Again, she replied "I don't know". I turned around and walked out. She didn't even try to say something like "I'm new and just learning the menu". She basically said "eff you, I don't care". Off to Bobahead, where the bubble tea is fair, and at least they have a few effs left to give. read more

Neither drink disappointed. The prices were below what I expected and the serving size was good. We give the Tiger Sugar Milk a 10+ Stars for the best boba ever! For years my coworkers had told me that this place was amazing and that I needed to try it. Drinks here are absolutely delicious--I have yet to order something I did not like from their coffees to their fruit teas to their camo milkshakes and slushes. They are always super fun, colorful and tasty. Food, however, is a completely different story. My fiancé likes the carne asada fries and does not stray from that order. I didn't think this place could get worse but I was wrong. Wanted to try this place again thinking maybe there was staff turnover and things are different plus it's close to work. I placed an online order. Went to pickup waited 4:37 seconds (I started a timer because of what I saw) while watching two girls talk and eat with no one in the store. The girl eating looked up at me multiple times and then continued to eat. After I had to loudly say hello they answered and got me my food and drink (which wasn't made right but I digress). I asked to talk to the manager (Hannah) who came out promptly and then proceeded to tell me she's on her break so it shouldn't matter. While I obviously couldn't know that it creates an extremely poor customer perception. She could have told her coworker that she had a customer, but "she's on her break". She said she was training and doing other things, but if is the training she provides, the owner should be worried. Everyone was raving about this place so I had to try it and I must say I am very pleased!! I ordered the xxxtra hot elote, salt & pepper popcorn chicken with spicy seasoning, and mangoanada. Although the name of the elote is "xxxtra hot", it wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be. It was on the sweeter side and I couldn't taste much spice but it was still tasty! They also give a decent amount for a fair price. The popcorn chicken was delicious! The spicy seasoning definitely made the dish better in my opinion. There were three options: mild, medium, and spicy. The medium was pretty spicy so for people who can't handle much spice, I'd suggest getting the mild! I'm not sure if there is an option to add the spicy seasoning to the elote but I feel like if you want more spicy thats something you should ask for! This was my first time trying a mangonada so I'm not sure what to compare it to but it was sweet with a little bit of spice from the chili powder. They also packed it with fresh mango! I thought I'd have to wait longer for my food but surprisingly it only took 10 minutes and everything was ready. The service, atmosphere, and music was also good. I'd definitely go again! read more

I'm always in the mood to go on a new flavor trip. So I headed to Zero Degrees to try out their signature Mangonada ($6 for 24oz), which they describe as "a delectable mango slush with real fruit chunks, topped with chamoy and Tajin seasoning to give it a sweet, salty, spicy kick". I'm not sure what some of those things are, but it turned out to be really good! Not overly spicy or anything, and very refreshing on a hot day. I only wish the straw had a little spoon thing on it to pick up some of the mango chunks. There's other interesting options too, including a milkshake made with ube, which is a purple sweet potato. It's popular in the Phillipines. There's also salty snack food items like popcorn chicken, carne asada fries, and elotes (a Mexican street-corn). I could definitely see coming here on your cheat day... Also, for many of the drinks you can do a split-cup (for a small upcharge), so you can actually get two different drinks in one cup, like a milk-tea on one side and a fruit slush on the other. Pretty cool. And currently there's a Yelp deal where you check in and get a free add-on like boba. Stop in! read more

Line was short but the wait was long. Ordered 3 items (2 drinks, 1 food) and it all came out at different times which was awkward with the buzzer and marking the receipt. Didn't seem super efficient either. It took quite a while for the drinks as well. The food- Cheetos fries. Interesting. Not fantastic. Way too much cheese sauce, but the fries themselves were crispy and good. Not sorry I ordered them but I might not get them again. The drinks- the coffee horchata was ok. I expected more from it. Fun new spot for awesome smoothies!!! Love the tajin powder in the fruit! They also have small food order items that are ok. It's nice to have if you want some hot food. It's mostly chicken wings with a ton of shoestring fries. They have Elote (A Mexican street dish that consists of grilled corn with lime, crema, cotijo cheese or parmesan, and chili powder and/or tajin powder.) Here they serve it off the cobb in a bowl with all the toppings on the corn. Super great idea if you don't want it all over your face while you're eating it. This fine establishment has mastered the art of the mangonada. Sweet mango slushy with chamoy, Tajin, mango chunks, and (for an up charge) a tamarind straw. Holy frijoles, Batman. The spicy watermelon is great too! And elotes! (I mean, it's really esquites since it's off the cob, but still). So good with the flaming hot Cheetos, or regular if you're not feeling spicy. I'd give this place like 3.5 stars. I'd recommend eating the fries at there b/c they get cold quick. I was skeptical about chip crumbs on my fries but I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty this turned out to be. It's like the best what do we have left in the house to make anything. Next time I'll ask for no mayo on the elote. Overall is was pretty fantastic too. I was full after eating the fries. The fact that they're shoestring fries didn't seem to bother me. I ordered the lychee slush which is a bit on the sweet side but has the lychee flavor. Next time I'll request a small, it's overwhelming in size. I think it's a nice amount of food for the price. Update: I went back and this time, got the ube milkshake and elotes with cajun fries. The ube shake was great & creamy, but the lighting in the store doesn't quite do it justice, washing out the purple. What's the point of that?!? I came for the pics, so does that mean I have to bring my own lighting?? Smh. I might have to bring a whole setup next time I go. On top of that, ube isn't ube unless it looks so purple that if you don't know any better, it might seem poisonous. Jokes aside, I love ube, and would probably think about getting it again once I try other flavors and split cups. I think the shake actually was super purple, but we went after sundown so it looked a bit less so. My friend got a strawberry peach and it was pretty dang red and pretty dang good too. Refreshing af.
