    Fettuccine salmon

I had a very pleasant experience at this busy restaurant, and I loved the lively warm ambience. I got the salmon fettuccine which was very creamy and delicious, and had a lot of salmon. But the prawn linguine was $37 for an unreasonable small portion, yet on the other hand the linguine al pesto was a super large portion. Service was good, food came out pretty fast. Next time I would order more of their appealing selection of pizzas.

Very tight fit in this joint!

This place was crammed and not much room to move inside but the meat lovers pizza we had was amazing! We were seated upstairs where it was pretty warm...heat does travel upward and being above the kitchen area made it warmer. But we made the best of our experience and enjoyed the food and glasses of wine and I munched in a cup of ice. Several hosts checked up on us often and our dining experience wasn't bad at all. Good food, great staff and my one and only company made for a great time!

Great little pizza shop. The cheese bread is wonderful - they make it like a pizza. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and I personally prefer things very bland so I thought it was spicy however my wife loved it. There are pictures on the wall of famous people that have eaten there.

I made a a classic rookie mistake when ordering at Zia Pina Pizzeria. When one goes to a place with a type of food in its name, say, "pizza"ria, one would be wise to order that type of food. With a menu that has many pastas and salads listed, however, can you blame me for thinking that one of these items might be decent? I was feeling like I wanted something light, so I ordered the prawn salad for $18. After putting up with the waiter's obnoxious cheekiness, having to ask for forgotten beverages and waiting no shorter than a half hour for our food, I was already underwhelmed by Zia Pina before the food came. My salad, I'm not even kidding, came with about 5 halves of cherry tomatoes and approximately 6 tiny shrimp (NOT prawns, as it had been listed). I would have had a hard time believing it was a proper SIDE salad, let alone a main sized salad for near 20 bucks! After finishing it (note, in about 5 bites), I felt dissatisfied, hungry and ripped off. I wished I had ordered a pizza, but more than anything, I wished I had gone somewhere different. Zia Pina is a restaurant that is taking advantage of it's patrons because it can. It's in the Rocks, it has cool stained glass windows, it has stereotypically Italian staff and it's a big fat rip.

My friends took me here on my last day in Sydney, and it was the perfect farewell brunch!…read more There was a festive menu at the time that we dined, and it was great! 3 courses for $40AUD (or 2 courses for $35AUD), you know I had to get the 3 courses! For Starters, I got the Ora King Smoked Salmon Pate. For my Mains, I got Primavera Ravioli. For dessert, I got the Jamie's Black Forest Panna Cotta. Everything was soooo good! The ambiance was chic & cute, and the server was great! I honestly felt like I was back in the US for some reason!

My second and most recent visit helped extinguish that memory. Our waitress was very lively and sweet. She gave us plenty of time to look over our menus and made solid recommendations. I ordered the Spaghetti Alla Norma and it was pretty tasty. I also sampled some of the polenta chips which were surprisingly good. We opted to get dessert elsewhere but overall the food was pretty good. I'd like this place more if the prices were a little lower and they had more basic pastas available. I'm not a fan of seafood or mushrooms and can't handle spicy so I felt a little limited...although the pumpkin ravioli was tempting. Next time!

On Macquarie Street next door to the Land & Environment Court and across the road from the NSW Parliament. When you get to the Macquarie Street entrance walk down the stairs. You will be greeted by a friendly maître d and a similar layout to its Italian brother on Bridge Street. There is a bar and restaurant (Café Sopra) which offers delicious meals made with fresh ingredients. No fresh produce available at this Fratelli's. The restaurant was buzzing with suits. Which was to be expected due to its central business location! Loved the green chesterfield style seating and dim lighting. The service was great with our waiter being very attentive even with the a full restaurant. Could not fault our visit. Will be coming back here again and again.

To start we got the zucchini fritters, burrata, and the cold meats plate. All very tasty. Then for mains i got the pork sausage pizza - i thought it was ok, hardly much pork on the pizza. I got to sample a few other pastas such as the lamb raguy and the polenta with mushrooms and gorgonzola - the polenta was very good! Lots of sauce and went really well with the polenta. For wine we tried the fratelli fresh pino grigio and it had more of a sharp after taste. Overall, I thought the food was good, I enjoyed all the entree's and the other mains except mine.
