As someone who's received rolfing for close to 30 years, this form of myofascial release massage was a wonderful blend of rolfing and massage. I could feel my fascia release several times throughout the massage and I'm excited to regularly incorporate this type of therapy into my massage treatments! I also saw Isata recently for a craniosacral massage and it was also amazing! It was so good that while I was on the table I thought to myself I must have paid for a 90 minute massage because it felt like I had been there for that long, but it was only 60 minutes! Lol. I've been struggling with neck and head tension that's affecting cranial nerves and this massage definitely helped. Headed back this weekend for a follow up! 2023: I went to see Sam when I was having serious shoulder and neck tightness that was causing tension headaches. She was great! She used the perfect amount of pressure and deep tissue therapy while also not making it too painful. A skill that is sometimes hard to come by. She is one of the better massage therapists I've seen in my 25 years of getting regular massage. I was stunned to learn she's only been doing massage for a couple years. Michelle was recommended for a good massage and so I treated myself to my first massage ever. (I know. Crazy.) Michelle did a gentle basic massage that was absolutely wonderful. Since then I have been to see her multiple times even though it's a 50 mile drive. Here's why. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and as I went through treatment, I discovered that Michelle was much more than just a regular massage therapist. Her knowledge of treating and healing scars, working with tissue damage due to radiation, lymphatic drainage, was incredible. Just an hour (which usually became and hour and a half at no extra charge) with Michelle has always rendered profound healing changes. What luck that I was directed to her and how indebted I feel for her help with my healing. She also gave excercise advice for stretching and improving. I found Aisha and For The Health Of It Massage thanks to Groupon, which I had never tried. I googled her and read Yelp reviews before I purchased the Groupon. Her location WAS a little difficult to find, but I did find her. Her space is very cute. We went over my injury (was in a removable arm brace from breaking my arm) and we were off and running. She was very conscientious of my injury the entire time and didn't work that area, but I felt like her strokes were everywhere. She asked which pressure I preferred, and I like a good firm pressure.
