It was totally without intent that I booked with Susan, but so very pleased that I did. Her work is quite frankly exceptional. I went with a specific issue, gave Susan my history, information from my doctor and she got to work. I was so impressed with my initial visit that I booked another appointment for two weeks later. Since then, I have been going every other week, my doctor has seen a noticeable difference in my condition. Thrilled that Susan listened and had the expertise to help. Clearly her education and experience go beyond what one might consider in a traditional masseuse. It's interesting as the patient, to tell her what's going on, see how she approaches the situation and works the problem. She totally gets how everything is totally interrelated. As someone who's received rolfing for close to 30 years, this form of myofascial release massage was a wonderful blend of rolfing and massage. I could feel my fascia release several times throughout the massage and I'm excited to regularly incorporate this type of therapy into my massage treatments! I also saw Isata recently for a craniosacral massage and it was also amazing! It was so good that while I was on the table I thought to myself I must have paid for a 90 minute massage because it felt like I had been there for that long, but it was only 60 minutes! Lol. I've been struggling with neck and head tension that's affecting cranial nerves and this massage definitely helped. Headed back this weekend for a follow up! 2023: I went to see Sam when I was having serious shoulder and neck tightness that was causing tension headaches. She was great! She used the perfect amount of pressure and deep tissue therapy while also not making it too painful. A skill that is sometimes hard to come by. Michelle was recommended for a good massage and so I treated myself to my first massage ever. (I know. Crazy.) Michelle did a gentle basic massage that was absolutely wonderful. Since then I have been to see her multiple times even though it's a 50 mile drive. Here's why. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and as I went through treatment, I discovered that Michelle was much more than just a regular massage therapist. Her knowledge of treating and healing scars, working with tissue damage due to radiation, lymphatic drainage, was incredible. Just an hour (which usually became and hour and a half at no extra charge) with Michelle has always rendered profound healing changes. What luck that I was directed to her and how indebted I feel for her help with my healing. She also gave excercise advice for stretching and improving.
