My first massage with Claire was so fantastic that I had to go back for a second longer massage and will be going back again. For the two hour deep tissue she used hot stones and cupping to supplement, which she made sure was ok before we started. The cupping helped relieve some some tight muscles in the shoulders over the next few days so it made the experience that much better! read more

Kelly Ward stands out as an amazing therapist who can home in on the key problem areas and correct them, while still delivering a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating massage. He has a remarkable ability to palpate lines of tension and muscle adhesion, but he keeps it so understated that you might not notice how he turned you from the knotted-up wreck of a person you were when you walked in, to the happy, limber thing you are now. One of the best massage experiences I've ever had. I was able to get a same day morning appointment. The place was nice and clean and my therapist was very kind. She seemed to truly listen and care about what I wanted. It was a great massage with no extra charge for hot towels or essential oils like some other places I have been to. Had a terrible massage at BodyWork, so bad that I stopped it half way through. I tried to book it online after researching their staff. After choosing the masseuse and time (who was available according to their system) I called the office to book only to be informed the person wasn't available and 'hadn't updated her calendar". I then booked a 90 minute cupping and deep tissue massage. The cupping was fine but the masseuse asked me where I needed focus and if I wanted deep tissue (I did), she then had no idea how to implement deep tissue, using only her arms to give a massage (HUH?). She used her arm to roll against the skin instead of actually using her hands and fingers to massage. When I asked her to please use her hands for a typical deep tissue she said she "hadn't been taught that" and that this was the way she did it. TERRIBLE. I've never ever had such a lousy massage, even from non-professionals. Plus, the "salon" is in an apartment complex and lets just say the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. I cut it short, paid and left. Without question, the worst I've ever had. It brought no relief from the tension in my neck and back and didn't even follow the protocol of what one would even call a massage. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I just moved here and have been looking for an amazing massage therapist that knows their stuff. I found this place on google and after reading good reviews I decided to book a 60min sports massage with Chandra. I'm a boxer and my body is 99.7% of time sore. The place is soooo cute and quaint very homey. Let me say, Chandra is a HEALER she explained so many areas of my body and what was wrong or causing pain. She's so sweet, made me comfortable, and is the most knowledgeable massage therapist I've ever met. Thank you so much, I can not wait to return!!! read more

I realized I needed to get back into getting regular massages having moved into Bend from out of state, and after much research, I chose Bodywork of Bend. Then even further research as to which individual would be right for me. I chose Lacie Malvaney, and I am over the moon satisfied with the 2 massages I have received so far. Lacie, being a prior nurse, immediately understood some of physical imbalances about different muscle groups not firing properly, and incorporated several modalities into my amazing massages. Having received many massages over my lifetime, I rank Lacie as the best I have received. I will become a regular of hers. As far as the location, it is easy access just off of 3rd street. Parking is plentiful and safe. The massage space is quiet, comforting, relaxing, and just perfect Zen feeling. The price for my 90 minute massages, including a justified tip, is in my mind a bargain, now that I know what awaits me each time I visit with Lacie. I like the fact that I was able to also go to their business calendar and choose date/time that fit my schedule. Also being able to prepay via credit card, including the tip, simplified the transaction in my mind about not having to deal with the payment while being in a comatose mode after the massage. I received nice text reminders of the massage, along with email confirmation of the appointment. I will be strongly recommending Lacie and Bodywork of Bend to my friends here in Bend and feel confident they will agree with my assessment after their visits. read more

I have been looking for someone who does Thai Massage and Kelly told me about Jesse and that he trained in Thailand. I have taken some classes with Kelly and he is a great teacher! I eagerly booked an appointment! It was hands down the best massage I ever had!!! I like all massages, but this style stretches you and compresses all your sore spots and it was 2 hours of complete bliss!! Jesse is so skilled and had great communication throughout the session when it was needed. To top it off he is super nice! It was worth every penny and I will be back! read more

Kelly is one of the best massage therapists I've ever been to. He wants to understand what is going on with you and works with you to relieve whatever may be bothering your body. He will use hot stones if you want, my personal favorite. He is very knowledgeable about the body and where to work to assist in making you feel the absolute best you can. There are times when I'm so relaxed I almost (or maybe do) go to sleep. I highly recommend him. read more
