Has anyone actually tripped on their product? I go for microdosing, so I'm not sure if I'm paying these jerks for fake placebos or if there's really any psilocybin in these unmarked capsules. I sure wish other ppl would open more schroom dispensaries in Oakland so I didn't have to go to this dump. What are they doing with all the cash they are raking in? Certainly not reinvesting it in their business. The staff are uniformly rude, unhelpful and dismissive; the location and interior disgusting, the wait ridiculous. And don't waste your money on the weed, it's old and moldy crap. Can't wait for alternative options to open. read more

A deeply disappointing experience. Michael Pollan writes about how seriously the entheogen guides he's met take their work. How compassionate they are. So I was very surprised to find that the person we dealt with was an aggressively unhelpful jerk, while the rest of the staff looked on indifferently. Basic questions about their wares were met with dismissive arguments. Eventually we gave up and left. I get that retail isn't an easy job, and maybe at 10 am you'd rather be home in bed. But if you can't be at least vaguely polite and helpful, please find something else to do. read more

I've been a member for about 6 months. Usually I'm able to talk to people about the different types, but today one young lady gave me the worst customer service to the point I had to ask for the manager and im shocked because this is supposed to be a safe space. The last time I was there one of the employees had referred me to a shroom which I really liked. And I was trying to figure out which one it was. So I was trying to ask her if she can help me so I pointed to one of the boxes and touched it. She said I can't touch it. I asked her if she can turn it over. She said you won't know from the back of the box. She berated me again because I tried pointing to another box and then I told her that I'm just trying to figure out what I had last time, and I'm trying to explain the feeling or describe the chocolate bar shape and eventually she told someone else to deal with me because she can't. If it wasn't for the other girl I wouldn't have found what I was looking for. As i cashing out, I heard and saw her mocking me. Eventually I spoke to the manager and she said she will investigate. But it made me feel so uncomfortable and not like I was in a safe place. After I've already referred 2 ppl, it's unfortunate that this is the only option. And to be fair I never had that experience before. I hope they work on making sure all ppl feel safe and accepted from all employees. read more

Me and my girl LOVE zide door. We have bought plenty of mushrooms and now have started buying DMT. They give out the information sheet when you do buy it but i've noticed it's not everytime and sometimes the tenders selling it aren't entirely educated on the matter. Psychedelics I feel should be sold by those who have done them, for experience purposes of course, and sometimes I don't get that professional opinion, at all none sometimes. finally a no-nonsense cannabis retailer that doesn't think it's some kind of fancy-shmancy top-shelf wine shop with a ridicuous retail storefront and prices aimed at high-paid san francisco phonies with expensive cars. it's a no-frills basement. besides the reasonably priced shroom and dmt, bulk flower is in tupperware containers and weighed out in front of you on a scale and bagged in plain ziplocks marked with a sharpie. no jars, no labels, no brands, no logos, just bud strains with thc content listed. read more

These people are at the very least incompetent clowns, at the worst, outright frauds. I was stupid enough to register as a member on line, which requires filling out a form and providing a photo of your drivers license. I registered once, and after a few days I checked in to find out the status and they "couldn't find the application." I did so again, and never heard from them again. So now these clowns have a photo of my DL and who knows what's to become of that? I guess it's time to go update my address with the DMV at the very least. Recommend going elsewhere. read more

First time visitor this week. I signed up online months ago and was immediately approved (like in a day) but Oakland is a long way from where I live so it took me a while to feel a reason to drive up. One complaint: even after being approved online you still have to fill out their form again in person (electronically). Well, the first time I went that day, their registration system wasn't working so despite having the approval email in hand, they couldn't sign me up and turned me away. They said to call before coming back that day if I wanted to check if the system was back online. So, long drive back home... But I had some free time later in the day and called them to check. No answer. Apparently from a review for the SF location, not answering the phone is a regular thing. I took a risk and drove back anyway, and fortunately the system was back to working and sign up was quick and easy at that point. They had exactly what I was looking for, a bit more expensive than I was expecting, but it for sure is a legitimate product. The free newbie gift was very nice as well. I found the staff that day including the security guard very friendly and helpful but I did already know what I wanted so made it quick. I did not try their cannabis so can't comment on that but the non-cannabis items were great. I feel like the procedure and environment are geared to everyone's safety, patrons and staff alike, and though the neighborhood is pretty sketchy, inside it's comfortable. I will be going back. I been to Zide Door numerous times. Every visit was amazing & the customer service outstanding ! I went May 29th with my son at 9am and there was one young lady that was about to tend us. She tells her coworkers this looks like it's going to be a long shitty day. She final acknowledges me & she yells at me to grab a menu. I explained to her i would need some help because I was looking for a specific strain. She screams at me again to get a menu , she then screams at my son behind me to get a menu. She was rude through the whole transaction & had zero desire to be helpful. I went to pay & noticed the tip jar. I told the cashier I wouldn't be tipping today because the young lady was acting like a bitch. She started getting animated & tells rude girl I called her a bitch. She then gets in front of me & starts to stare me down , she then says "you calling me out my name??" I'm 50 years old & not familiar with that phrase. She then finishes up tending with my son & calls him babe. Worst experience ever. It sucks that one bad time cancels out all the good. Beware of the mean girl because as I read the prior reviews I see this girl shouldn't be helping people that need medical help. read more
