After we got on the road, my husband asked if I checked the reviews. I didnt. Well, when I did, I was horrified to learn that we were gonna stay in the Bates Motel! We stayed in the Fairway Villas. It was a small one bedroom unit upstairs. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door. It was clean. The full kitchen is more of a kitchenette, but its fine because we were only in for a long weekend. The gave us enough supplies to last us including 2 loads of TIDE for the washing machine. The bathroom is older but clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows are nice. The patio furniture on the screened patio was covered in pollen but thats just this time of year in NC. We travel alot and I would most definately write a negative review if this place was as bad as I read about, but we enjoyed our stay and I would most definately come back.

It appears to be home to mostly long term residents who take no pride in their RV's or their sites. Trash and junk stacked outside of the RV's. What few lots that were available to over night guests were not well maintained and had trash on them. The lot we were put on looked like a long term resident had just been removed. Trash, cement blocks, wire, zip ties and empty bottles on the site. They have also removed the cable TV and the WiFi is non existent. Cell phone coverage is also very sketchy. Overall I could not recommend this park. They got a 2 because they did their best with what they have.

The landlord, Jerry, 2209 Foxhorn, was wonderful and kind and attentive. We build a great relationship with him, or so we thought. When it came time to move out his wife lost her mind, and was screaming and swearing about the behind the fridge having some dust. The management company, who had previously signed off on us doing a great job cleaning, and said we would get out deposit back, was there, Melissa who works for that company had recently been trolling me about the move out and that she wanted my rug (weird), and laughed at the landlords wife lost it like a petulant child. Melissa sent me a series of last min texts saying they needed to get in to do an inspection within the day (illegal, legally you need two days notice, then freaked out and said her husband has his face slammed in the door- spoiler, it was not slammed in his face, just another example of the crazy). I spoke to the owner, who I knew from mutual activities,and she refused to help. Stay away. They are absolutely crazy and corrupt. We did not get our security deposit back, also illegal for normal living in a place. We paid $400 in cleaning to make sure it was in great condition when we moved out. Just a nightmare

The place is located a few blocks from Tryon Palace and several other areas of interests including many restaurants and shops.
