I want to be able to swim with her family, so I went to get a membership. To my very pleasant surprise , their pool accepts Silver Sneakers, so I joined. I ate lunch with my daughter, and then went to her pool to do my deep water workout. All of the staff were friendly, and I was able to do my workout in pleasure. Excellent facilities, with 3 pools, one with a water slide, locker rooms with showers, and an onsite snack bar.

There is a small place for little kids and a deep end with 2 diving boards, and some lanes in the middle. There are also plenty of chairs set aside for adults to sit on! The pool is a bit dirty at times, and the employees can be a bit awkward. They bend the rules for themselves yet others are on strict watch. And I feel like there is a lack of security, maybe it's just me. Look around, do you see cameras covering everywhere? Most security cameras have low resolution and fail to cover far distances. Hence the farther back from the building people would enter, say the far back seats. People belongings are highly likely to be stolen easily Other than that I haven't seen any employees be any sort of weird with kids, they are very nice and interact with everyone. But some adults are quite bad and handling things and irritate workers. That about sums it up. If you're reading I hope things are going well in life and that you should always look up! Side note - Watch your kids every once in a while, please.

I also over heard one if the white employees calling a black employee the N word. This is completely not ok and needs to be dealt with. Originally, one of the biggest perks of the Cincy Y membership was that it allowed you to use all Cincinnati branches. Now, you can go to any Ohio YMCA with your membership! Way to go! I know the membership pricing varies based on economic conditions, and while the Y certainly isn't the cheapest option, I will say they offer a lot of bang for your buck if you are willing to take advantage. Pools and saunas at most locations, fitness classes offered at all of them and at varying times, ActiveTrax to customize your fitness regime, weight rooms, workout facilities, personal coaching, and various free training programs from weight loss to competitive running to healthy eating make the YMCA not just a weight room, but a comprehensive facility for better living. I will say that while the Y offers a wonderful program for synchronized and competitive swimming, it wreaks havoc on the pool availability schedule. During the school year, expect the pool to be occupied whenever the children can be there. Even with 3 pools available at the Powel Crosley, it is difficult to discern from the schedule when the pool is open to the public. The good news? You can always call and talk to a human being.

I love the pool for its size, width and how clean the deck and the water is so nice and blue! absolutely love swimming in it and the temperature of the water is always perfect. The chlorine level is tolerable while playing water polo. I'm only giving it 4 stars because given the fact i play water polo, I have to play in all deep water, and it is shallow on one end which is tough, and playing width all deep makes the pool too short. It's no country club, and I've been to much "nicer" Lifetime Fitness centers but it has a more of a personal atmosphere. Most of the people recognize each other here, everyone is friendly, and it's never crowded enough to hinder my workouts.

There's a nice-sized, L-shaped pool with a diving board and a decently-sized kiddie pool, too. They have a snack bar with lots of tasty sweet treats as well as hot dogs, chicken nuggets, fries, etc. If that's not to your liking, they also let you bring in whatever food and drink you like. Grills are available if you're in to that. Whatever you're eating, you just have to eat in the designated area. Yes, you can bring in alcohol (but no drinking in the pool). There's a small playground, too.
