I had the opportunity to check out Norfolk restaurant week 2026. I had great company of course with Alexis. I'm so glad she suggested to go to Zinnia. It was on my list to try for restaurant week. She made the reservation while I met her there on a Saturday brunch time. I love how cafes are a thing now in museums. As for Norfolk restaurant week, it was a pic two for restaurant week either appetizer and entrée or an entrée and a dessert. We both decided to pick the appetizer and entrée. I chose the fig and brie cause I'm a huge baked brie girly this was such a cute and tasty appetizer. I love the way they set the plate. For my entree I did the fish tacos. I ordered a cappuccino for with my appetizer that I could have done without. The cappuccino was mediocre and nothing to rave about. Th real star of the meal was the appetizer and main course. I have never met a baked Brie or fish tacos I didn't like. The vibe was cozy, sleek and cute. The meal was superb and I definitely have to put this cafe on my regular dine out to for a weekend treat and walk around the museum for funsies.

Amazing restaurant week fare! Wife and i went there and you get to decide if you want an app and entree or an entree and dessert. Got the garlic burger and brie and wooo boi. Flavorful. Bread pudding and brisket was phenomenal as well! Like every bite is an explosion! Nice museum vibe in Chrysler.

I'm not certain if we dined here on a day when employees had called out sick or what the problem was, but wow, food service was incredibly slow and our poor waiter was terribly in the weeds. There were only 2 servers for the inside and the outside seating areas of the restaurant. Our lunch took 1hour and 45 minutes from start to finish. Much of that time was spent sitting and waiting. Waiting for water, waiting to have our order taken, waiting for food...you get it. We sat so long we felt like we needed to get up and move around. The table next to us was there on a work lunch break and they had to leave without getting their dessert. The good part is that once the the food arrived it tasted great. It was "restaurant week" so they had an additional menu where you could pick a starter, a main, and a dessert for $20. The hot spinach dip with the pita was nice and creamy with plenty of flavor. My main was the southern fried chicken sandwich which was lightly fried with a buttermilk dredge. The honey-sriracha mayo was a good addition to the sandwich. The finale was the warm cookie skillet. It was what you would expect and a crowd pleaser for the table. It was unfortunate that the food service was so slow. Our waiter apologized on multiple occasions, but what could he do? You couldn't ask for anything you needed nor would it show up. We never received the ketchup for our French fries, or a refill on the water carafe.

My wife and I had the Zinnia Burger yesterday and it was quite good. It came w tomato, lettuce, bacon and seasoned fries. The burger was well cooked and the fries were the same. We had Salt and Pepper, and the Old Bay seasonings on the shoe string fries. The food was fine with nothing exceptional. Our waitress was very good and remembered the side of mayo I asked for. The service was on point and we had no complaints. It was a nice day out yesterday so we ate outside even though there was seating inside. This is joined to the Chrysler Art Museum and was the start to a nice afternoon. While the menu is not a real big one it should have something for everyone.

We had a beautiful afternoon visit with small plates of shared appetizers as we chatted after walking through the museum in the AM. Service on the patio was a bit pushy as they kept coming by and asking to take items before we were really finished and saying no didn't really apply, they removed items anyway. I could understand if they were closed but we were only approaching 2 PM and aware of time. Even more frustrating when they were still open inside.

An engagement party was the plan; a luncheon at Zinnia and then a museum tour. And it was absolutely fabulous! Wow, Zinnia--you out did yourself. The staff accommodated all our requests and even served dessert for us. They provided plates and flatware to create an ambience for this engagement party. They didn't have to do that. The chef checked on us regularly to make sure everything was up to par. And trust me, it was. Everyone ordered from a scaled down menu--but with nearly 30 people in our party, that was the best choice. Our options ranged from steak salad to curried sweet potatoes--something for everyone. This day was a core memory for the couple--and Zinnia helped to create a lifelong memory. Looking for a place to host your next event? Don't sleep on Zinnia--they will EXCEED your expectations.

Visited The Chrysler museum for an exhibit and missed lunch that day but it had smelled so wonderful that I made a point of going back just for the Zinnia Cafe! Cute indoor and outdoor dining areas, great service and believe they said that they change up the menu every couple of months. So there will probably be some basics that stay but something new to try each time too Ordered: Coastal Cobb Salad

Ambience is wonderful, beautiful and clean and bright. Decor clean lines and artistic. Ambience is a 5. Patrons of the Chrysler Museum of Art seem to be the frequent diners here. Service is nice, friendly, feels exclusive (upscale). Service is a 5. You're greeted as soon as you walk In. You're asked if you want indoor or outside seating - on a gorgeous 81 degree February day - it's a no Brainer to ask for outdoor seating. I ordered the Peking duck salad. Large portion. The duck was dry and cold (not even room temperature), seems like I got the last pickings around the carcass.the salad was wilted. Maybe days in the fridge? Food is def 3. Will be back hopefully for a better duck confit sandwich.

I love that they have updated the restaurant in the Chrysler Museum to Zinnia! It's convenient, has indoor and outdoor seating and is very modern. I appreciated the clean bathrooms as well! The staff is always nice and it's a great place to have lunch or just have a coffee. We stopped in to have lunch while we were seeing the Paul McCartney exhibit. And then continued to see the new painting collection upstairs. They do have a seasonal menu so it could change what is available. The portions are large ( I took home half my burger ) and well put together. My burger was cooked perfectly and how I wanted it. My only complaint would be having to sit too close to strangers because they are so busy sometimes. But that's a good thing! Also I'm not a fan of the ranch dressing or ketchup. It was almost a hint of vinegar in the ranch and the ketchup was sweet. Can't wait to stop by again and try something else on the menu.

Zinnia is a fresh clean cafe space inside the Chrysler Museum (which is a free amazing museum btw). The menu here is not extensive, but solid consistent options for lunch or grab and go when at the museum or in the area. Here is what I personally like: there are gluten free options, a kids menu, it's very clean and the staff is attentive and kind. The soup rotates and you can get something from their grab n go, order take out or sit inside/outside. It can get super busy when there is an event or lecture so be mindful of that. There are dedicated bathrooms so you don't need to wander in the museum. My favorite is the chicken salad, my friend loves the duck grilled cheese and pickles!

Was greeted by the staff as soon as we walked in with friendly smiles. I ordered the Chicken Caprese Panini. I considered it to be a good sized sandwich. The pesto was delicious, and the ingredients all tied together for a simple and tasty lunch. I shared the Coastal Cobb salad with my friends. We enjoyed the cranberry cheese that came with it and the colorful veggies that came with. The place was organized and clean. The decor is very much a minimalist designed style with neutral colors. It gives a nice modern feel. I kind of wished we ate outside because the outdoor eating area looks so beautiful surrounded by trees and foliage. I ended my meal with the Brownie Sundae with Vanilla ice cream. It was warm and big enough to share. I think this was the highlight of the whole meal.

It's incredibly spacious with high ceilings, tons of natural light, and lots of beautiful details everywhere you look. The front patio is perfect for people watching or just enjoying some fresh air, with lots of space between tables (no awkward eavesdropping here). Inside, the vibe is super chill. There were quite a few people working on laptops, but it didn't feel stuffy or too quiet ... just a comfortable, low-key buzz that makes you want to stay a while. I started off with an iced americano topped with strawberry cold foam. The foam itself was a little thicker than I expected (it was more "whipped cream" than "cold foam"), but honestly, it was delicious. I'd totally order it again. The flavor combination is chef's kiss. A little sweet, a little tangy, and it adds something fun to a classic drink. For food, I went all in on the Box Car Sandwich. If you love grilled cheese, you HAVE to try this. Oozy pepperjack and cheddar, crispy bacon, tomato, avocado, all sandwiched between slices of perfect sourdough. And the special sauce on the side? I could have eaten it with a spoon. I have no idea what's in it, but I want a bottle to take home. I can't wait to come back here and give their espresso martini a try, and their pepperoni swirl pastry looked 10/10.
