DOV: Friday, April 21 @ 4:30 pm This is the car wash formerly known as Snappy and not much has changed from the way it was except the sign and the price of a basic wash which went from $6 to $7. The automated washing system does a good job, and for a few dollars more you can have the staff clean and vacuum your vehicle while you wait. We just do it ourselves for free at the finishing station where they have cloths for you to use and powerful vacuums that will suck the color off your seats if you're not careful... super powerful vacuums. I can't speak to the value of the higher priced washes - you can even buy a monthly plan which is probably a good deal if you wash your car a lot - but you get quite a lot for $7... full wash and dry, use of vacuum, use of cloths, and use of high pressure air nozzle to blast out debris from those hard to reach places. I hated to see Snappy go and the Zips sign appear because Snappy had such a great thing going, but it looks like Zips might be going to be a good thing too. So far, so good. read more

I have been to this car wash 2 times in the last 3 weeks when it was closed early on sunny days/evening. Yesterday it was closed at 7:39pm despite having business hours advertised to 8pm. It's hard to get your money out of unlimited washes when you have to make multiple trips to find it open during its advertised business hours. Also, many times a vacuum is not working properly and there is often no sprayers or rags available. read more

The wash system itself is good, but beware of memberships, it is a lot easier to sign up than to cancel.

I have been there several times in the last couple of years. I went there today and the wash was good as usual. However the vacuums that I pulled up to had very low suction. The lady next to me had the same at her stall and just left. So I went to another slot across from me and it was the same low suction. The guy a couple of spots over had the same experience. There were no employees to ask about it. So good place for a wash but if you need to vacuum probably go some where else. I ended up vacuuming with my own vacuum. read more

FRAUD ALERT! - At the Hwy 81 location, I paid for carwash with my debit card. 4 hrs later got a fraud alert from my bank, because someone used the number to buy something for a $1 at a gas station. Got a new card, so to prove my suspicion, I paid for a carwash with my new debit car. It was the only purchase on that card. Later that evening someone tried to spend a $1 at the same gas station as the last time. Obviously, this is a routine for someone at this location. read more

In January 23 I went to the Zip Car Wash Hwy 81 Anderson where I had a membership. They said their was a problem with my membership and did another one. They left the same sticker in my window me not knowing any difference. Couple months later I notice them billing me for two accounts on the same sticker. When I called and confronted them to fix it and refund my money they said it would take 10 to 14 days. This went on another three months and never got my refund. I canceled them with my bank account. These people are a ripoff and I would not advise anyone to get a membership with these people. I will never use them again. I hope anyone reading this listens to my warning. Slick ways to still your money. I never had but one vehicle to go through that carwash. read more

Says that they have free vacuums and when I got here you have to pay for the car wash to get the vacuums. It's not free.

Stopped by here for the first time. Nice car wash except it didn't clean my car. I would probably been better off freezing to death and washing it by hand. read more

I signed up for unlimited washes per month at $20.00 which amounts to two washes at the old rate of $10 per. Fair enough. This month it goes up to $25.00 per month so I cancelled it yesterday. I received an email offering to return to $20.00 per month for 6 months. I responded "okay" then I get this email: "Then promotion is for three months with a cost of $20 per month. You will need to contact us to cancel your account more than seven days before your three months ends. If you do not contact us before October 17, 2023, your account will roll over to our normal price of $35." What? I immediately cancelled. I see this as nothing more than a SNEAKY way to get you to stay with them and then raise the price even more to recoup their "discount". You are better off paying as you go. read more

Zips is now an econo wash. No inside auto service available. I recommend: Perx car wash (downtown Anderson, SC) if you want your car vacuumed and windows cleaned. If you are ok with a basic machine wash & DIY vacuum, you will like Zips. read more

They always have towels and cleaner stocked and ready. Friendly staff. They do a good job of keeping vacuums cleared out.

Waste of money. Just find the cheapest drive thru car wash, that is all they offer now.

I just came back from a trip where apparently we drove through a whole colony of bugs so I had a bunch stuck on the front of my car. Today the guy that does the initial spray off before going through the car wash took extra time on the front of my car to get rid of all the bugs that had gotten squished. I did not ask him to do this. It was very thoughtful! And very much appreciated! Always great service. Thank you! read more

Went to one on north side of town and it shut down twice while going through the wash cycle. Got a refund and drove across town to the other one. It didn't dry the water off of the car, the bugs were still stuck on front fender, the vacuums didn't work on one side of the lot, the rags already had grease stains, water in spray bottles instead of winded and there was paper and trash across the parking lot. Worker was very rude. He was aggressive and unforgiving. The car wash wasn't even that good.

I have a yearly account here to wash my two cars. We went there just the other day and all you could do was drive through. That is not acceptable. They are getting the same amount of money for half of the services. If I just wanted to run through a car wash I would just go to Spinx or some other drive through car wash and not drive out of my way to this one. Now with the Coronavirus I understand that you have to be cautious but you don't have to quit doing half the work and still get paid the same amount. Close every other vacuum stall if you want too and let people wait if they need a vacuum or if you don't then just drive right on out read more

When this originally opened, they were pretty good. However, there is usually only one person at the prep station, and they no longer brush your tailgate. If you have a hatchback, you have to wipe the dirt off after you go through the wash. read more

I don't recommend the monthly wash club and you NEVER get anyone on the phone. Highly dissatisfied customer.

One reason I have used zips in the past, is that they have towels to wipe down my car. On there today, I will just go to Perks for now on. If I take my time to get my car washed where they say that they how towels to wipe down my car, they should have them. Perks Cher I come next time! read more
