We had no place to go, so my husband ran in and asked the manager/owner if, given the circumstances, we could take shelter there until the emergency was over. We thought, given the types of folks who tend to run independent bookstores, that question would be a no-brainer. To our stunned amazement, he said no. "Nice" guy. Our everlasting thanks to the employee who ran out into the parking lot and helped us find our way to the local Tractor Supply Company, where we took shelter. We give this place 1 star - zero for the bookstore and its owner and five for the employee, because at least one person in that place has a truly kind heart.

It has a wide and eclectic selection, reasonably priced ... and that's not even counting the large $1.00 racks outside the door, from which my wife and I grabbed six books, a far higher haul than such discount racks usually provide us. We left with a full backpack, and would have bought several more if our weekly budget had allowed. The owner was courteous and helpful, and we will certainly be back.

The records were categorized well so it was easy to browse. Most of it wasn't my cup of tea but I did purchase a couple items to support the cause. There's a decent amount of records off the beaten path if that's your thing. I mostly skew towards punk and metal which there wasn't a lot of. They have a great assortment of home goods and I scored some vintage CUTCO cutlery at excellent prices. They also have cool vintage clothes and just the typical antique store randomness. The stand out here is their amazing staff. I got to the location just a little before opening and they still greeted me and let me come in a bit early.
