If I could give it zero I would. I've taken Pilates for 10 years innLA and just moved to FL so wanted to try this out especially with the reviews. But take it from me if you've ever done Pilates anywhere else especially in a big city like LA NY or SF, don't waste your time or money. Actually the worst class I've ever taken. This should definitely not be an advanced class, more like intro to Pilates if you can even call it pilates. Their machines were sooo old that they didn't have enough resistance and they use leather straps with wooden handles which physically hurt. The instructor tried but I think he was used to an older demographic so he would only have us do 5 reps max of exercises. He also kept having me curve when I know for a fact certain exercises strain the back curved. I wanted to walk out after 10 minutes but didn't want to be rude although now I wasted an hour and didn't break a sweat. Just with the equipment being so old it felt unsafe and not a good class. Hope this helps other people who may be considering this. read more

I highly recommend this studio if you are a beginner to pilates and barre like I was. I enjoyed most classes and usually felt that I was given the extra help I needed as a beginner, either by the teacher or by nice regulars. Though it is a small studio, the classes are typically small as well, 10-12 people max is what I experienced. Cindy Grossman is AMAZING and she teaches cardio ballet fusion (similar to barre). She is so down to earth and you can tell she really cares about each of her students. I can't say enough good things about her - she is the best and will have you leaving feeling physically and emotionally refreshed!! For the pilates classes, I liked Amanda because she kept the classes interesting by mixing in new moves on the machines that I had never tried. The one downside is that because I work during the day I was a bit limited for class choices and variety. read more

I was traveling and did 3 workouts at this studio. I worked out with both Ela and Dylan. They were both excellent trainers ! They know how to challenge you and get to work right away. Sometimes you work out with someone new and it takes a little time for them to understand your abilities but they were both highly knowledgeable and I will definitely come back the next time I come visit family. This place is life changing. The classes are small and focused; on your own speed. All of the teachers are wonderful, nice and so knowledgeable. I have taken group and private lessons. I absolutely love it here! I had recovering arm, leg and stomach, from a car accident. I found that all of the instructors modified and showed awesome exercises for my body; they all have an apparent great knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. I wish it was possible to give this place zero stars. We went to Zoeli for a bachelorette party and it was most of our first time taking this type of Pilates class. Gina was an abusive instructor. Not only did she criticize our technique rather than helping to improve it, but she physically violated some of us, pulling on our ponytails and aggressively pushing our legs down. I feel personally victimized by Gina and would not recommend taking a class here, particularly if you have her as an instructor. read more

This place is really cute, right on las Olas. It's a small open studio with machines and a couple mats. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners... but it seems like a cool thing to try for more experienced Pilate go-ers. I had Alexandra as my teacher and she was really tough. If you can handle it, give her class a shot! I was sore for days. They also have a tiny section in front with socks, yoga pants, and tops. It was hard to not browse on my way out lol read more

I checked out Zoeli for two reasons. #1 - The studio is close to my house & #2 - They had a Groupon for spin classes. I am sooo glad I did! I've enjoyed every, single spin class, even the ones at 6:30 a.m. The studio is bright & clean, with a dedicated room for spinning. The bikes are set up stadium style, so you always have a good view of the instructor. All the instructors are great, positive & motivating, each with their own style. And, there's even a fresh, clean towel waiting for me on my bike when I arrive. You can't really ask for anything more. I haven't tried any of the other classes (pilates, zumba, yoga, etc.), but if they are anything like spinning, they will be excellent. read more

I bought a groupon package for 10 beginner classes. Having only done pilates floor/mat work I was a little nervous to take the reformer and tower classes. I have to say I am now addicted. The instructors are amazing! Even with group classes they walk around and help adjust you so that you are working correctly. I have discovered muscles I did not know existed. The studio is small and the class sizes are around 8 or 9 people but the attention to detail is awesome. Each class is different and I learn something new each week. Zoeli Pilates is a great place, and I'm glad I discovered it. Thanks to a Groupon offer, I decided to make a New Year's Resolution to get in shape. I wasn't familiar with Pilates at all....heck....here I though a pilate was some kind of wonderful street food in Mexico. All kidding aside, the instructors were great and very attentive to us first-timers. They were walking around during the class correcting our positions. Thank you! Only one thing prevented me from giving it five stars. During our class there were two private classes going on in the same vicinity meaning three instuctors were talking at the same time. It was a little challenging for this first-timer as to who we were supposed to be listening to. I'm sure I'll get used to that and my core and I will be fine after all is said and done. I have been taking classes at Zoeli Pilates for over 1 year. The classes are amazing as are the instructors. I have taken the Barre Clases taught by a caring & talented Cindi to tower classes with " strict" Alex to recently reformer classes w Halcion. I also took some private Pilates sessions with Alex & my husband was wowed by how firm my butt had become. I love the enthusiasm of the instructors & how they keep reminding you to "SQUEEZE" and engage your core & seat (ie rear). I keep coming back because it challenges me to perfect my form - I'm a sucker for perfection! . It's an engaging pleasant atmosphere with people who really care. I highly recommend this studio to anyone from beginners to advanced levels. There is something for everyone. They do also offer Spin classes. read more

Seriously, the staff here is so nice and makes me feel at home when I am here. They are always customer oriented and able to work with you whatever your needs may be. They started as a Pilates studio but their barre and spinning classes are great too. I al a flywheel junky and also have a peloton bike at home but make sure to take carries class once every two weeks for tabata/interval spinning. I also take ballet and Jazz at another studio and barre is great for improving those muscles. And now on to pilates if you are looking for spa Pilates or just stretching this is the wrong studio for you if your looking to get in shape post-baby become a better athlete and/or torch some calories this workout is for you. The best part isn you can use it to build lean muscle so u don't have to lift weights which I despise ;) read more

I am so happy I signed up for classes at Zoeli. The thought of going to a Pilates class was quite daunting to me at first but the staff at Zoeli are so patient, warm and accommodating. They took my fear away. I love the fact that the classes are small (maximum 4 per class). The classes are so effective, I started seeing and feeling a difference in 1 week. i wish i understood all of the 5 star reviews. i'm new to the area & did intermediate/advanced pilates for YEARS so was really excited to check out zoeli. but this should have a different name altogether. it was not pilates. in my experience, pilates is about lengthening and strengthening. but for the entire hour of this class, my instructor (amanda?) had us hunched over. always yelling to curve your back, put your neck down, etc. it was beyond uncomfortable. on top of it, i signed up for reformer pilates and we spent maybe 10 minutes on the reformer before moving to cadillac. i am very tall and always prefer an end machine because my arms and legs inevitably overlap with the guest next to me. but i was asked to move so "we could all be together." what?! the equipment was old, the studio was teeny and messy. my old classes were fun, energetic, we played music... here i just listened to the instructor's dull voice and clapping. knowing that myself & another woman were first timers, she really could have spent a few more minutes demonstrating exercises. but my body was hurting so much from being bent over by then that i didn't even care. lastly, this an incredibly expensive studio. there are much better for less. i hate to be the negative reviewer but among all the 5 stars i really felt that i had to provide my experience and perspective. sorry, zoeli. read more

The studio offers Ballet Barre classes taught by an amazingly talented and engaging teacher. She realized I never took a ballet class and encourages me to do my best. I have walked by this place for years and was too embarrassed to go in. Don't be. This is the most nurturing and instructive Pilates I have ever taken. It's so good I convinced my husband to make room in his busy schedule. He was in a car accident with multiple injuries and after two months with Gina he is like a new person! I checked out Zoeli for beginning Pilates. Gina Von Elbe was my instructor for a Rehab Pilates Class. She was good at giving cues, but she yelled and was rude if you didn't understand the exercise. There were only 3 students in the class and basically it was a class with tha instructor yelling and shouting rude comments about how lame the students were if they didn't get the exercise. It's good for instructors to assist and make sure the students make adjustments, but Gina's approach was negative. The Pilates studio is clean and neat, but Gina is a mean spirted instructor with a super negative approach. My recommendation is give the studio a try, but try to avoid any classes taught by Gina. I've never wrote a negative Yelp review so for me to take the time to write a negative review shows how aggrevated I am that I wasted my time and money. Exercise is supposed to be fun and relieve tension, but to say the leanest GIna's class did not accomplish either of those things. read more

I have been attending mat classes at Zoelie for one month, and find the quality of instruction to be excellent. The instructors are knowledgeable and pleasant, and although mat is a group activity, the instructors attend to individual needs as much as possible. The studio is modern, clean, and bright. Staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. There is a broad range of class options, including Pilates mat, Pilates equipment, and Spin classes. I am in Florida for a limited time during this winter, and am thrilled to have found such a lovely studio, one that reinforces the mind-body connection with each class taken. I highly recommend Zoelie for those new to the practice as well as those who have experience with Pilates. read more
