They also would not appear warm, smiling and inviting, many of them come off cold, apathetic and even psychotic lol. Over time I lost interest in attending that location because of this and the lack of diversity. I'll continue to take my money elsewhere.

A small fitness studio inside a house in FTL!…read more You read that right, a house! I came here to workout with my cousin as a different type of hangout. Rather than getting lunch or coffee, we chose to workout together. It's a great way to even out all the restaurants I want to try! She bought a class pass ($99 for 5 classes) here so I opted to buy one class ($10) to hangout with her. When driving here, you actually park at the Red Lobster right next to it. Once you park, you enter through a gate and The Office 954 is right there! The classes range from burning your accessory muscles (ouch) to boxing cardio to flow with yoga. We did the burn class which is by far the most painful class I have ever taken; a good burn that is. The instructor keeps you motivated and each class is limited to maybe 12 people (?) max as this studio is extremely small with just one room. This intimate workout is amazing for locals who really want that small class, personal trainer experience. I had the pleasure to workout with Jamie, the owner, as the instructor for our class. After our intense workout, she was extremely welcoming and told us a little more about her studio, how it came to be, and the things she has available within the studio. She told me she was going to start a collection of wellness books that clients can check out for $5 to borrow, read, and return. This gym is very different than many traditional gyms and gives that welcoming, personal trainer feeling. It's a breath of fresh air. If I lived closer and could afford this studio, I would definitely be back!

The entry area has two rooms for those needing to change clothes, there are storage cubbies for shoes and they also sell cute shorts and merch in the front. Through the next door is a large yoga studio which is decorated with a peaceful, simple esthetic. It's cute, clean and comfortable. I like that there are more cubbies in the main yoga room for personal belongings and the natural lighting. There are two restrooms which can be accessed from the yoga studio. The restrooms are also clean and organized, offering hair ties for anyone who may have forgotten one. The studio has bolsters, yoga blocks and other yoga items to help with your practice. Chloe ran the class smoothly making sure to offer multiple poses for all yoga levels or for those with injuries. I enjoyed her class and appreciated how she reminded us to breathe and check in with our bodies throughout our different stretches. I will definitely come back!

I can walk and chew gum at the same time WTH!!!! I save lives for a living this should not be so hard! Oh it was, but so rewarding! You must bring water or you will think you are going to die! Hahaha.... It's a cardiovascular workout. It detoxifies the body by releasing toxins through your sweat. Improves your sleep quality. It reduces blood pressure. It strengthens your immune system. This is the second Barkan studio I've been to, but the first time I've been to this location in…read moreFort Lauderdale. One thing to note is that you if go to any Barkan studio, the classes are not transferable so the class I have for their Boca Raton studio can't be used here, but the nice thing about it is if there is any new member special, they'll let you take part in it. I purchased their, "Groupon" special which was for $39 you get 5 classes that have to be used in two months. The classes range from typically 60 minutes to 75 minutes. Barkan specializes in buckram yoga in which the room averages about 102 degrees so if this is your first time- bring water and lots of towels because you're going to sweat. The instructors will walk you through the series of poses, working with you if you have any heath issues which hinder your flexibility or maybe you're like me and just aren't that flexible at all and need help. They will let you use their bricks during class to help ease the positions. You can also rent mats, purchase water, and clothing there as well. My instructor Amanda was great and really pushed you to the limit, but you felt amazing afterward. I worked so hard in the class that I almost fell asleep immediately when I got home. The classes are challenging. The rooms fill up quickly so get there early so you have space for your mat, but definitely check it out and you'll get a great workout.

My instructor recommended SQLPT as a good place for me to learn the fundamentals, and I'm glad she did. The class is still a challenge for me, but I like that I can focus on learning the exercises properly and getting the most out of each one. There was a good amount of parking and some street parking, all of which is paid for, but the first hour is free which is perfect for taking a class. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming. Erica was my instructor, and she made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. They showed me where the restrooms were, where everything was located, and where I would be setting up for class. The class itself was amazing--my body feels so great! The stretches were perfect. I took the Ebb & Flow class, and if it's your first time, I highly recommend it. It was the perfect mix of everything and flowed so well throughout the session. Erica checked on me during class to make sure I was doing okay, and she also checked in with me afterward. I just want to thank everyone for such an amazing and welcoming experience. Vanessa has always been one of my favorite instructors, and she's also just an amazing human, so it was really cool to see her building something of her own and thriving. The studio is super cute, and everyone was welcoming from the moment I walked in. Vanessa helped me get set up with all the weights and equipment I needed before class. The class was definitely a challenge since it was only my second Pilates class ever, but in true Vanessa fashion, it was still amazing. Great energy, great music, and a workout that pushed me way outside my comfort zone. I have a lot of room to improve, but that's exactly why I'll be back.
