Dr. Eginton and her surgical team recently performed a lifesaving, high-risk Cholecystectomy (gall…read morebladder removal) on my dog, Lucy. Dr. Eginton is a talented surgeon and a very kind person. She set clear expectations pre-surgery about the risks/recovery period & was quick to respond when I had post-op questions/concerns. She went over all the discharge instructions line by line and even took the time (after a long day) to walk Lucy out & provide guidance how to safely lift her into my SUV. Lucy's incision has since healed (she initially wore a cone and then surgical recovery suit 14 days), her skin color has normalized, and appetite returned. She's a happy girl! Thank you Dr. Eginton and Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard Team!

In both cases, we (coincidentally) received care from Dr. Hammett, who was an incredibly kind, compassionate, and thorough doctor. I cannot thank Dr. Hammett enough for his gentle care. In both cases, humane euthanasia were the ultimate decisions and Dr. Hammett was so supportive. I can't thank him and this group enough for their incredible diagnostics, care, and gentle and respectful communication. I live out of state, so finding a practice so compassionate in an emergency situation was unexpected, but truly made all of the difference.

I called the phone number and since I was a new patient, an automated message told me to fill out of form online. The next day, an appointment was booked. Thankfully, my vet also sent my dog's X-Rays and the surgeon specialist reviewed them and determined I needed to come sooner. I appreciate that they judged the necessity and were able to squeeze us in. The location was easy to find but be mindful it's pretty quick after coming off the highway. It was a busy road. The location was very clean. There was complimentary water and coffee! The waiting area had plenty of space. For me, that was a plus because my dog doesn't like being near other dogs. The appointment took less than an hour. We didn't wait long and everyone was extremely nice. I didn't meet the surgeon, but the woman I spoke with (I believe a vet assist? I'm sorry if she sees this!) she was very patient and answered all of my questions. I felt that my dog was loved and cared for. They even put cute little watermelons on my dog's bandages! My dog, a typical Chihuahua who is normally shaking the entire time, was returned to me being completely calm. That's how I can tell that they were gentle and kind to her! We have to go back in 2 months and I trust that she will be in good hands once again.

Here was our experience. Our dog was having seizures daily. Neither her vet or the local hospital…read more(we spent $4000 at this point) could care for her. I had to BEG to get an emergency appointment. She seized th day before and the day at the appointment. Dr. Knight was very cold. She wasnt happy when we decided we couldnt afford the $5500 MRI. She lost interest at that point. We were able to hospitalize her there and I begged for steroids. Dr. Knight gave me an attitude but when she used them, seizures stopped. I jad a few questions for her and she made us feel like we were bothering her. She sais she would use steroids but hated them. I was in a support group ans many of those dogs received chemo. Knight laughed at me when I suggested this. We refused to see her again and went with Dr. Stark. Much nicer but said she only uses steroids. She was fine if we used the local vet for tests. One test showes severe liver failure according to our vet. Dr. Stark never contacted us...our vet had to reach out to her. Our girl kept getting worse and we recently put her down. Neither neurologist here knows what they're doing.

I went to today vet, turns out I don't have worms!…read more I really enjoyed coming here! I came here because they offer a free visit coupon for your pet when you adopt them from the local humane society. This made me happy to work with knowing that what I paid today will be used to help other fur family's tomorrow. The staff was very nice to me. My dog was being a baby and kept jumping on the furniture in the waiting room. I'm not sure if this was against dog office etiquette for her size but no one said anything. In the room, they immediately offered my dog a treat. This is a good tactic to gain the animals trust. They asked me a few questions and gave me some advice. When I saw the doctor, she was very nice and seemed to understand where I was coming from. They gave me a few options on how to proceed. I choose the at home option because I feel confident in my limited life skills. I believe a nurse, doctor or surgeon came into the room and ask me if I knew what I was doing. I said, "I think so" and she decided to do it with the cleaning in front of me. I can't tell you how happy I was, that she did this. I would have been back in there because I was doing it wrong. I learned something about dogs that I never knew after all these years. I believe this single step made an entire world of difference in persona touch and providing a better chance of success for the animal. I require a follow up visit. The scheduling was really great! I have a big event coming up next week making time very scarce next week. They worked with me and fit me in. That was really really great! There is also a office cat! Office cat was really nice! I got to pet him! Funny thing, he wasn't scare of dogs at all. He let potato sniffer him and for the first time, I was more scared then a cat. LoL I totally recommend this office!
