Such a fun, beautiful trip down the Alberton Gorge in early September with Hutch. Water level was low enough that the rapids were crazy but the water was refreshing to swim in but not bone chilling. Great time had by all. The 5 Star reviews are well deserved. read more

Did 3 days straight with a group of friends. Amazing time! Steph and Seth (our guides) were knowledgeable, fun, and super easy to work with. The food was simple but really tasty, just like it should be while on the river. Ian (the owner) was super easy to work with and helped us put together a package, and shout out to Raliegh (I just butchered her name) who came through when we hit a deer and helped us out with returning our rented dry suits. Hang loose dudes! The crew at Zoo Town took great care of us and rafting the Clark Fork was awesome. Our group was split in two rafts. I was with Sorel who did a killer job of getting our adrenaline pumping, got us all sorts of drenched, *and* keeping us laughing when we weren't focused on paddling. The other half of our group was with Natalie and said "whenever we wanted to get wet, she got us wet," which sounds like a pretty solid review as well. For lunch we had sandwiches that where very tasty and fresh! Natalie was very personable and informative about the river and surrounding area. They run a tight ship (no pun intended). We had the BEST time on our rafting trip with Fletch as our guide. The prep was fast, we were on the river in no time, we had some exciting rapids to give us a high, and most importantly I did not fall out! We loved Fletch and his personality and in-depth knowledge of the river, the area and skill of rafting. The entire staff was so accommodating. This was our first experience river rafting. We did the Alberton Gorge half day lunch trip. Upon our arrival, our tour guide Fletch was upbeat and welcoming. Fletch gave us fun conversation, interesting facts about the land surrounding us, lots of laughs, and recommendations for the remainder of our Montana stay. This was our 2020 Sisters Trip, and Fletch definitely kept up with the sisterhood. We will most certainly be coming back! Zootown Surfers was an amazing rafting experience for our family. my husband, 8yo daughter and I are traveling through Missoula and my husband booked a trip. We're vegetarians, and a staff member called a couple of days before our trip to confirm the food choices work for us. When we arrived, the staff Maya and Fin greeted us and walked us through everything we needed to know for the water. We were on a boat with Fin, and we had our 8yo daughter along with someone who had never rafted before. We felt prepared and safe due to the safety precautions of Zootown Surfers. While on the boat, during a no rapid section, Fin taught our daughter how to row the boat, which was one of the highlights of her trip. At lunch, we found out the owner Jason baked us delicious chocolate chip cookies - a highlight for us all! Also, while out on the boat, Fin continually pointed out the wildlife around us, like eagles, swallows, mergansers, and more. To wrap it up, they allowed our daughter to clean gear, which she found fun. Oh, and I forgot my water bottle at the shop, and they brought it to their place in Missoula so I didn't have to drive too far to get it. Overall, we had a great day, Fin was a fabulous guide, and we'd recommend this company for anyone wanting to raft this area. read more

What an amazing experience! Me and my gf were visiting Missoula to run the the Missoula marathon. After picking up our packets we were strolling around the Farmers market where we ran into a rep for the ZTS. Long story short, we decided on a whim to go white water raft - a first for both of us. We arrived at the place, singed some waivers, for sized for gear and had a few moments to spare. We sat at a beautiful balcony overseeing the river - so beautiful! When everyone was ready we loaded up in busses and headed up the river. We ebeded up being part of a large group (5 rafts total). It was 7 people in our raft, my gf and I, 4 college friends and our guide, Casey. The experience was amazing - there are calm parta of the river, there are fast parts and there are technical parts. The effort and skill required are minimal or Casey was just so skillful that it seemed that way but in either scenario, you shouldn't skip due to physical restrictions. You will get wet. Scratch that! You will get soaked! You will also have an opportunity to hop in the river and just let the current carry you.. It was amazing! It was fun! It was exhilarating! I highly recommend it and will definitely do it again. Don't hesitate and do it! You won't regret it! read more

What a Great Time. Mia our guide was terrific, she made our trip special and fun. We had a group of 4 and were able to take the 2-6 trip which lasted just about that time. After a little safety training done by Sidney we were on our way in the little Bus with lots of laughs before the launch. After putting in at the Gorge on the Clark Fork it didn't take long til we got to our first rapids, got a little wet and that cooled us all off (90 Degree day) All along the way Mia was full of info about the area and made the trip so much fun. If your looking to do some rafting give Zoo Town Surfers a try you wont be dissapointed, we passed along some other rafters that were crammed into their boat but we had ample amount and switched up seats so everyone got to sit up front. Ask about " Riding the Bull" when floating. We are going to do another trip when family comes in soon and will not hesitate to use ZTS again and will definentaly ask for Mia or Sidney. read more
