We came out to Missoula Adventures for a couples retreat with the Wounded Warriors Project, and Tucker was the absolute highlight of the trip. The weather wasn't exactly postcard-perfect, but Tucker made sure we didn't just have a good time, we had a memorable one. From the jump, he had that perfect mix of chill and know-how. We floated down some of Montana's most beautiful rivers, lines in the water, surrounded by mountain views that felt straight out of a nature documentary. The fishing was relaxed and fun, no pressure, just vibes exactly what we needed. Tucker knows his stuff, but what made it special was how easy he made the whole day feel. He kept us laughing, shared local tips, and made even the rainy moments feel like part of the adventure. I've lived in Missoula for 20 years now and had never floated the Alberton Gorge. My husband, two teenage daughters and myself expected to have a fun day rafting and fishing, but we did not expect to look on our own backyard with fresh eyes. It was amazing! Trevor was extremely thoughtful about where to fish and where to enjoy the morning eagles skimming from the tree tops to the water and back again. The rapids were exciting, requiring no work from us (it was all Trevor). And lunch was more than I expected - a shady beach, chips and salsa to snack on while our wonderful guide cut fresh melon for us and put out quite a spread. We thoroughly enjoyed our variety of fishing, riding the bull, jumping off the boulders and floating alongside the raft when it was time to cool off. An exciting way to spend time on the water. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating to all experience levels of rafters. Whitewater trip started with gradually increasing whitewater, then finishing off with a relaxing scenic float to the take out. I would highly recommend this company for anyone trying to get out and experience the thrill of whitewater. Naomi was our guide with plenty of experience, she handled the oars like she's been doing it since she was in diapers, but also has experience in different types of river running. Lucas on the other hand.... just a joke to make someone's day. Check in was easy, and the breifing fun. Then you hit the water and wow, what a rush! Stunning beauty, great rapids and more great hospitality. Our eight person group had a nine person boat, skillfully maned by Jerry. He was thoughtful, articulate and a super fun guide. We planned a rafting trip with Adventure Missoula on the Clark Fork for our kids & niece & nephews for Christmas. I was a little nervous about taking the younger kids on the river for their first white water trip, but Sara assured me that we were in good hands with experienced guides and she was right! We had a great day on the river with Joe. He was a lot of fun & seemed to enjoy hanging out with our crazy family for the day. He taught the kids some things about rafting, took them cliff jumping & searching for crawdads. Needless to say fun was had by all & the kids are looking forward to going again. My tour guide was, Avery. She was awesome! I did the white water rafting and the reasons I liked that trip and my tour guide were, when no one in my group wanted to play the game with me she got up and did it with me, not only was she fun loving she also was very good at telling commands. She was very easy to understand and was not critical at all! The lunch was great and I thoroughly enjoyed eating it. I also loved my guide because she was easy to ask questions to and you felt like she was a real person, she was the least bit intimidating. read more

Adventure Missoula took on the mission of taking a group of retired and active duty combat veterans down the Clark Fork on two rafts. The river was a bit low but our guide Naomi made this a trip to remember. She expertly guided us through the rapids, taught us balance games on the raft that tested our balance and skills, and showed us the safe spots to jump off rocks. There was non stop laughter for our two hours on the incredible section of the Clark Fork. Naomi and Adventure Missoula get an easy five stars. Thank you! read more

Went back to work on Monday... and I had to tell all my co-workers and show them the pictures, I couldn't contain my excitement about showing off what I had done over the weekend! In a word, terrible. We went too fast and couldn't adequately take in the surroundings. Our guide, Lukas, was apparently a war veteran of the Montana-Canadian war, and unfortunately clearly suffered from trauma. The whole ride he kept muttering war and survival facts about the surrounding area. The scarred and haunted look in his eyes gave me the hebejebees. One suggestion I would have is to make the raft ride less fun so as to convey respect to that great war. read more

We went with our out-of-state friends for a full day trip. Nick was an expert guide and pointed out bald eagles, a beaver, and other wildlife. He gave us some historical points along the way. The rapids were so much fun and we made a few stops to swim. Lunch was great, serving croissant sandwiches, salads, watermelon and dessert. I like the fact that it was on a smaller raft which allowed for a smaller group. I look forward to our next trip. read more
