1* is too high , although nothing lower! Buyer Beware!…read more 7 years ago we contracted Island Mann to redo our the master bathroom plumbing to include install jacuzzi tub, shower enclosure and all plumbing drains, hook ups etc. This included removing the sub floor to update pipes/drains. Over the next few years we were able to use the tub infrequently because the draining water resulted in backing into the shower. We used the tub infrequently as the effort to not flood the bathroom from overflow was a nuisance. Island Mann told us something must be stuck in the drain...Fast forward to late 2024 when we developed a leak in the shower drain running downstairs into a closet. 2 professional plumbers said the drain pan/drain failed after looking at the opened ceiling in the closet downstairs where the leak found its way out. Today, my go to plumber guy demos the shower floor and removes the drain pan and drain and finds that the original install was incorrect!!! The Kerdiboard covering on all walls and floor was not sealed at the edges of the shower walls and not at the wall side of the long drain. There is also mold as the backing drywall was soaking up the water from the failed seal at the drain and moisture from the edges of the shower. The drywall was moldy. IN ADDITION - my plumber cut drywall from the downstairs closet to expose the drain pipes above. On cutting into the vertical wall, he found that the original pressure fitting still contained the original plug for the pressure test. The plug in the drain line restricted water flow. That is now removed and the cause of the restricted flow to cause the tub to backup identified and fixed. Certainly incompetence on Island Mann installers to overlook removing this part and not installing a cap. Essentially Island Mann plumbing does not know squat about redoing shower nor careful about the quality of the job. We spent lot of money and got screwed by incompetence. I laugh because they made a bid deal that we must use KerdiBoard instead of hardiboard or something else for waterproofing, and that he must install Kerdiboard correctly or the job would not be guaranteed. If they would have sealed all the edges carefully we would not have the leak and moldy drywall in back of all the waterproofing shield. We did have unsuccessful plumbing encounters with them after the bathroom install with regard to some leaks and minor plumbing in other part of the house - they overcharged and refused to open some pegboard in the garage to reach a leak, all very petty. I would avoid this contractor like a plague!!!

They really wanted me to give the $69 without assurances that they could perform the work or what's an estimated cost for this work. She spoke to me about an hour later and said that the technician fee would be $90. Still no estimate of the total cost. I explain that we're a non-profit organization and we can give them a blank check and that I needed and invoice to submit to the Board of Directors for approval. I never received it, yet the technician wants me to meet him and pay the technician fee. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ! I personally don't feel Comfortable using this company because I couldn't get the information I requested.

I sent him a few pictures of the leak prior to the appointment and he was able to give me a ballpark estimate right away. He kept up good communication via text message and arrived punctually. During the job he was honest, professional and thorough, making sure that everything was good to go before leaving. It was pretty clear that he enjoys the work that he does. When the water pressure dropped again a few hours later (which ended up not being his fault), he came back out for free and stayed for as long as it took to identify and fix the root cause of the issue. He was happy to answer all of our plumbing-related questions and offer advice to prevent these issues from reoccurring in the future.

The owner, Steven Denney, said it would be Wednesday, so I said that's ok. I needed something sooner. He said he would have someone out by 6 pm. He called earlier, said someone cancelled and someone would be out by noon. Joe and Caden showed up, assessed the situation and had us fixed in 30 minutes. The pricing was fair and a slight shock that it was so inexpensive. I cannot thank them enough. Give them a call @ 281-334-2288 for great service and a fair price.

Well we've got plumbing guys - Ell-Dee Plumbing. When you read the reviews on here and on Google, you'll read words like "honest", and "fair", "hard working", and "trust worthy"... ALL TRUE. Our hot water heater went out 2 weekends before Thanksgiving; we called Steven on that Monday totally expecting for him to come out Tuesday already, but he was actually apologetic that he couldn't make it on the same day I called. So we agreed upon 9AM the next day, he comes out, assesses the situation, and then talked us through all the options from least to most expensive, short term vs. long term fixes, and best and worst case scenarios... very thorough and transparent. We opted to replace the old water heater we had (it was 14 years old anyway), and he had the new one installed by 2:00P that afternoon, all clean and up to code! Thanks, Steven! But that's not all... So a week later, the day before Thanksgiving, we noticed a puddle slowly forming on the garage floor. Immediately called Ell-Dee and left a message, with-in 15 minutes we get a call back from Steven who is about to leave town (it is the holidays) telling us that he's sending Joe over to check things out. Joe shows up, assesses the situation, gets our permission to open up a wall possibly two, and finds the leak that had probably been leaking for years but had been plugged up with sediment that we probably never even noticed it. Less than an hour later, leak fixed, shiny new copper pipe in place. Thanks, Joe! That's right, twice within 2 weeks. Both Steven and Joe are personable, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with! Did I mention the only surprise we had with bill(s) where how REASONABLE they were?! So yeah, we've got plumbing guys, and you should too!
