I have been going to BARKS about four years. My little girl is somewhat an introvert but I trust…read morethem with her. Had my little girl there for boarding and daycare. Both have been great. Thank you!

The Good - Our dog seems to enjoy going to Barks and always comes back 100% exhausted (assumingly…read morebecause he has so much fun). We have had generally positive interactions with the staff and the facility seems fairly nice from what we can see. The cage-less atmosphere is a big plus for us. The Bad- You're almost guaranteed to have to pay additional fees for boarding (for those with traditional work or vacation trip schedules). For boarding you can't do a morning check-in or an afternoon/evening check-out without paying an extra $15 fee for each on top of the $50 per night fee. You can't pick your dog up on Sundays at all unless you make pre-arrangements and pay another $15 fee. The Ugly- We felt pretty scammed on our last boarding. We dropped him off Friday for a 1-night stay and were told we could pick him up anytime before 7pm the next day (the front desk girl even said "Saturday? Anytime before 7"). But we received a call at 6:15pm the next day asking when we were coming to pick up our dog because they were closing (they told us the girl at the front desk made a mistake and they don't stay open until 7pm on Saturdays). We said we were 15 minutes away, our GPS said we would be there at 6:30pm. They said they were sorry about the mistake, but that was too long to wait and we would have to pick him up the next morning. We weren't thrilled, but mistakes happen, ok. First thing the next morning we went to pick them up and the front desk girl (the one who had said 7pm) was very apologetic, but then CHARGED us both for the 2nd night we didn't want AND a Sunday pickup fee. Blown away, I asked "are you really charging us for the 2nd night?". She called what I assume was the manager and they took off the Sunday pickup fee but still charged us the extra $50 for the extra night. Might be a little over-dramatic, but it really felt like they held our doggo hostage and then demanded ransom to get him back. We paid it, but we really lost our trust in Barks with this. We'll probably try to avoid Barks in the future if we can. The ???- every time we pick our pup up from boarding, he drinks a comical amount of water. It's probably because he's too busy running around with the other dogs to drink, but we do hope they have water bowls out for the dogs at all times.

Kept their normal routine going perfectly! Tended to one of our dogs in a very caring way while there was a thunderstorm going through the area and she managed to keep her calm ! Courtney tended to our dogs as if she knew them forever... feeding , administering medication, walking , which is a handful with the 4 of them !! She also retrieved our mail, watered our plants and did some light housekeeping, which is a huge plus ! Courtney stayed with our pups around the clock and they felt at ease in their own home with someone there the whole day and night! We are extremely grateful for all that she did for us and will highly recommend her services !! Already booked her for future visits

I wish I had taken the one star Google review that said she's crazy more seriously. That reviewer…read moremust be a very nice person, because to say she's crazy is definitely an understatement. We had her come over for $100, and it turned out to be a nightmare. She came when my puppy woke up--instead of letting me take the puppy to potty, she insisted playing with him until he peed/pooped at the wrong spot. Then she stopped me to pick up the poo, put a treat right next to his poo, and our puppy for the FIRST time ate a piece of poo, because the treat was placed right next to it. Words can't describe how bad the whole 20-minute session was. Her attitude was unprofessional and very condescending, treating us as if we are ignorant people. She kept saying "poor puppy" as if we are abusing him. The worst of the worst: when I cleaned the mess, she said to me "good job"--who does that? My husband and I were utterly shocked. Before she left, she insisted putting a dirty empty water bottle in the playpen to let the puppy chew, while our puppy has various good quality dog toys. We love our puppy dearly, which is exactly why we've been trying different configurations of his playpen and wanted to start training early. But it's the biggest mistake to have used this service. First time and definitely last time.
