Would I drive hours just to visit this zoo? No--but honestly, I wouldn't do that for most zoos, other than maybe the Omaha Zoo. The zoo has always been clean and well kept every time we've visited. We usually go first thing when it opens, and it's never been too busy--except for one time when we accidentally went on a school field trip day, which was... a lot! There is a small kangaroo area you can pay extra to enter, where you can get up close, pet them if they allow it, and take photos. My 13-year-old son thought this was really cool, and honestly, I did too. My toddler especially enjoys the small indoor aquarium area. Overall, it's a great, easy place to spend an hour or two.

And then trying to find the small AC area already packed with screaming kids that become road blocks as you try and see their awesome alligator snapping turtle in a way to small enclosure. I have been coming here since the mid 80s, and feel little has changed aside from revamping old into new exhibits. The gorillas are back from an absence of I forgot how long. The aquarium needs a facelift, as well as the reptile house. I avoid eating here since it is worse than high school cafeteria fare. Prices could be better adjusted to the income of the populace to at least enjoy some of the fantastic rare creatures they house. I still will come though for I do like seeing one of the only zoos' that has a pair of Tomistoma schlegelii and an Orinoco crocodile. Bring back the mini boat ride!

This did make it more expensive, but for us it was worth it...We have been able to feed many giraffes, but never have met a rhino up close and my grandson loved being able to brush them and touch them.. I chose the private tour , so I could relax and enjoy it without having to drive...and all the info Tucson gave us on all the animals and all their programs made the drive back through on our own a lot more interesting. I was very impressed with their setup and how many babies they have.. I would recommend getting their early...The tour was a wednesday at 930 and we only had one other car on the road with us....when I drove back through , there was a lot of car stoppage , cause of course every car wants to stop for every group of animals and I will say the group at the entrance gate holds you for ranson so you better have food for them so you can get thru.. Didn't try the food , but the fudge at the restaurant was really good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the avairy...If you just want to see a lot of beautiful budgies and a few chickens, then go for it, but they had no interest in the food sticks and just flew away from it for the most part...We are used to the lorikeets that land on you, so my grandson was just bored with it...

First, I was a tad disappointed in the quantity of the animals out there. There were long stretches of the drive where I caught myself thinking, " there's nothing out here". Second, don't bother buying feed. A lot of the animals were more interested in food provided in their troughs than the passing vehicles. And, I have a feeling they're fed well enough ...they don't care if you're throwing food. Third, cars tend to bottleneck to look at NOTHING. I think the staff should do a better job explaining you can pass. At least I hope you can, because I did. I wasn't waiting for some of these people. Other than that, I thought the facilities themselves were clean, well lit, and impressive. They've got a great restaurant where you can have lunch (although I felt the prices were exorbitant as they often are with these "tourist traps"). They've got some great exhibits with monkeys and you can get pretty darn close to some giraffes. My little girl had a particularly good time in the aviary. Seeing her face as that bird landed on her stick was just the best. Solid gift shop. Overall, felt the cost was higher than necessary, but solid family outing. It's worth going.

The parking lot was small, which wasn't a huge issue since the farm/zoo itself is also very small. However, the pricing was absolutely outrageous!! around $55 for just 1 adult, 1 child, and a small cup of food to feed the farm animals. There were plenty of snakes to look at, and that part was genuinely fascinating. Unfortunately, everything else left us feeling uncomfortable and honestly pretty upset. There were far too many farm animals packed into tiny enclosures. Most of the habitats looked extremely small, bare, and lacking any kind of enrichment or stimulation for the animals. It was hard not to feel concerned for their wellbeing. Instead of enjoying the experience, we left feeling sad and disappointed. I would not recommend this place, and we will not be returning.

Seeing the lions and tigers up close was absolutely beautiful and unforgettable. We also watched the big cats interacting and playing with each other it was incredible to witness. The park itself is on the smaller side, but it is definitely small and mighty. What makes it special is the proximity and visibility of the animals. You really feel connected to the experience rather than far away from it. The monkeys were especially cute and fun to watch. If you enjoy close-up animal encounters and unique photo opportunities, this place is well worth the visit. We would definitely go again. 4 stars only because I thought the facility was quite small, despite having such mighty animal presence and you run through all the site seeing so quickly.

It is the first cavern discovered I decided this time to check the hidden wonders tour for the newest cavern. This tour is definitely not accessible. Lots of stairs down and lots of wet spots. But it is highly recommended! The tour guide was friendly saying jokes and very informative. Someone in the group asked him to rephrase for a kid brain to absorb the information. It was hilarious and the kiddo in the group was engaged and so enthusiastic about the whole deal! The cave itself is so beautiful! We spent a good hour and a half inside At the end you get the light and sound show and the fun ride out on the B.A.T the only belt assisted transport conveyor in the world to get out of the cave. Sophia was especially wonderful with our kids and made them feel included and excited throughout the tour. At one point our youngest got scared, and Sophia immediately stepped in with so much kindness and patience that she had her smiling and feeling safe again within minutes. As parents, that meant so much to us. You can tell Sophia genuinely cares about what she does and about the people on her tours. She made the caverns come alive with fascinating information while also making the experience fun, relaxed, and memorable for everyone. Pumpkin Patch, flower field, apple cannon, kettle corn popcorn, slides, the corn maize of course, and tons of other activities for the whole family. We also love the live music. Sadly this year we had our first major bad experience with the staff. So Hope and David.. this is for you who offered no apologies, no sense of understanding, and who encouraged us to take to the internet to express our dissatisfaction. We found ourselves lost in the corn maize, and our older boys (age 12 and 15) forged ahead to help us and a group of other families find our way out. They got ahead of us so we did not see fully what happened but we walked up on a female employee, Hope, cutting off our boys bands and sticking white hand on them letting the world no they are no longer welcome inside the corn maize for the rest of our day. We come to find out the boys saw the next marker to help us out and they stepped over some yellow caution tape in an open space to get to it and back track to help us out. But Hope was essentially hiding in the corn, and gave no warning, no offer for assistance, and no human decency towards our boys and instead immediately punished them. When we confronted Hope, she admitted that this was the most difficult part of the maize but continued to give me no apologies or any sense of respect or customer service when explaining the boys were now banned from the maize. Then she audibly huffed in annoyance when we did not allow her to take the boys from us and had to escort our whole group out of the maize. From there David, a manager was brought down from a cherry picker over seeing the maize and proceeded to treat us in the same cold and unapologetic manner. To top it all off he could not truly weigh in on the situation because he was on his phone while "watching" the maize. Overall we were extremely disappointed to be treated so poorly and without any decency from these two employees, Hope and David. We never received an apology, a crumb of understanding, or any politeness. We understand our boys disobeyed a rule, but they did not destroy any property, were not rude or disrespectful to anyone, and were just trying to be helpful and take the lead in helping our family out of the maize.
