They still do events in the hall area. Now it's touted as Southtown Joe's, a cute little bar with pool tables, darts, electronic games and several TVs to watch sports. Our bartender Sondra was great. Personable, on point. There is karaoke Fridays at 8pm. Got off on a late start today, though. Oh well. It turned out OK. Go there.

From the guy I met who comes here often with his parrot to the people who love to rock out here and twirl you around on the floor...you know you're never gonna want to leave. I've heard several great bands here, and for the smaller size..this place has a huge personality. This place starts out with the stage and bar area as you walk in and wraps around into areas with pool and darts and a lovely patio area with a secondary bar so you don't have to walk back inside to order. If you haven't been here before, you are missing out on some great people and great times you won't soon forget. I'm missing this place already, and I was just there last weekend.

When i asked the bartender I was once again told the bar back controls the music. He said I only play music I like when I work and he turns the juke box off. This place has a playground for kids but he plays music very inappropriate for kids where they use bad language and sexual talk. Why make people spend thier money with the touch tunes if they turn it off. The bar gets a cut for every song played yet we don't get to listen to it

We chose this place for today. I was unfamiliar on where to enter the bar, so I called the number listed in Yelp. Lorrie answered and told me the front door is unlocked at 5pm and that's where you enter. We got there at 5:10 pm and the door was locked, so I called again. Lorrie said the bartender must be talking to someone so she'll call him. The bartender comes down and unlocks the door. Come to find out, Lorrie is the bartenders wife. The phone number listed in Yelp is their home number. Geez, I was hoping to meet Lorrie because she was so damn friendly and helpful. But no, she's at home. Chris, her husband, is tending the bar. He too, is muy friendly. We had a great time. Great service and reasonably-priced drinks. Beer and wine only. No hard stuff. But the beer selection is primo. Also an array of Austin Eastsiders drinks. At least ten different flavors. Trivia is a big deal on Friday nights. Chris says it's pretty serious. I say go there.

Wandered back into San Antonio and I have to say I missed this place…read more Roland is that classic bartender who doesn't put up with any nonsense but will make you feel at home. As he always does. Haven't been there in three years and still remembers my drinking habits. Am I to predictable? Yeah probably. Still that proper dive, you'll see quite a few regulars that just come in to chill and hang out on the weekdays, and the weekends are always a celebration! Also one of the few places where you get everyone from all walks of life, from young and old. You'll always leave with a decent conversation or connection every time I've visited . Common tradition is to sign a dollar bill and staple it to the wall.

Our two families went it in on a Saturday…read morenight with no wait time the girls up front were quick to help us out and get us two lanes together we had a great time yes it's probably pricey for bowling but everything is now days. But i have to mention LEE i believe he was managing that night and he was fantastic he helped us through out the night multiple times and forsure made me want to come back to this location often. The upgrades in the building over the last couple of years definitely show as well !
