The receptionist told me that they were very busy and the doctor would probably refer me elsewhere. She placed me on hold while she talked to the doctor. When she came back to the phone, I was instructed to come right in. Dr. Schwab offered to do x rays to make sure there was no blockages (which there wasn't) and stated that he really didn't see the need for bloodwork but would do it if I wanted it. Mr. Wilson was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal bug and was given the appropriate medications/treatments. By that evening, we could tell our boy was beginning to feel better! We've had behavioral issues with our feline in the past... they worked with us not only by appointment, but calling over the phone at all random times as well. They've suggested natural remedies or items from pet stores to buy. To me, that means they aren't looking at the bottom dollar with how many drugs they can push on your animals. When I lived in another city, they allowed me to keep my feline there all day until I was able to pick her up after work with little to no charge. Both vets have a comforting way about them that leave my pets as calm as can be in a stressful situation. Before leaving the office, they make sure all questions have been answered. They are straight forward, because like the advocate we are for our pets, they also are working to keep them healthy. There have been times when I've left and thought my butt was handed to me... but that's simply because it was needed at that time (I have a pretty fat cat who will become unhealthy if I don't take action). They care. So far so good!!

I had no idea a veterinarian experience could be so warm and welcoming. They treated us like family all the way to unfortunately the end of my dog Chico's life at 17 and a half years old. They were so compassionate and honest throughout the last years of Chico's life. I'm sure he lived longer because of the amazing care and personal treatment given to us. They help with his passing and gave me very heartfelt condolences when he passed away. I am so thankful for the way they treated both Chico and I! Instead, I need to come in and spend $200, before the medication, for them to tell me that his ears have a yeast infection. Let me be clear, the malmetazone otic solution only costs ~$10 - $30 depending on the size of the bottle. I explained that the dog needs help, and that right now I'm now able to spend an extra $200 on top of the medication, and they wouldn't work with me at all; told me it's not legal to give it out because they haven't seen him in a year, which makes zero sense. I could literally have him put down tomorrow and they wouldn't bat an eye, but if I want to use a topical steroid to help control his itching without them making their cut, then I can go fuck myself. Terrible vet.
