We ordered the bratwurst with fries, along with Helles and Weissbier. The bratwurst was fantastic--juicy, flavorful, and the perfect pairing with a cold Bavarian beer. The beer garden is self-service, which works incredibly well given the huge crowds they serve. Even on a weeknight, it was packed, but the service moved quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for from a Munich biergarten--lively, relaxed, and filled with locals. Its location away from the main tourist areas gives it a more authentic feel. A great spot for Bavarian food, beer, and a lively local beer garden experience.

We were lucky to meet Luba who guided us to two open seats and then took our orders. The Wiener Schnitzel was so delicious. The best that we had in Munich. Breaded veal schnitzel with sautéed potatoes and marinated cranberries. The cranberries kicked the flavor up a notch. So tasty. The Kasespatzel was a cheesy Swabian style noodle dish topped with crispy fried onions. So good. So addictive. Loved the dressing on the simple side salad that came with the Kasespatzel. Wanted something cool and refreshing to drink. Went with a blackberry sparking water refresher. Luba was such a great waitress. Definitely made our favorite meal in Munich a special one to remember. Danke schon!

You can order a variety of beers and honestly, you can't go wrong. We often grabbed a Leberkäse sandwich from one of the hundreds of food stalls around Viktualienmarkt and brought it back to the beer garden to enjoy with our beers. Such a simple combination, but absolutely perfect. Service at the beer stand is super quick, though keep in mind it's cash only. The atmosphere is unbeatable. Sitting under the shady trees at communal tables, sharing space with locals and travelers, and striking up random conversations with people around you is exactly what makes this place special. It's a great spot to meet new people, relax, and enjoy a cold Bavarian beer. If you're in Munich, this is a must-visit. One of those places I wish I could teleport back to!

The service at the beer stand I went to was terrible as I didn't understand German and he shouted at me 5.50! They were serving plenty of beer and the outside garden was pretty nice. I wouldn't go here again as there are plenty of beer places all over the city. Water is as expensive as beer there, it is crazy! Outside with a big beer is always good though on a perfect day.

This golden gem of a Biergarten is unique, as they have a live jazz band along with a "carnival like" area for kids to play. Ambience is festive and perfect for a reunion with friends. Service is delightful, which is NOT the norm in Germany where customer service is nearly non existent. Food was good as well. Same German fare but the dishes did not feel as "heavy" but it also might be presentation style. Their apfelkurcherl is divine! All around this is a good place to enjoy with friends, especially if you haven't seen each other in a while. The atmosphere invites you to stay as you will leave feeling like "wow that was a good night". Music, beer or aperol spritz, good service.... Good food!

There is a fairly big area with table service and of course a self serve Biergarten. We sat in the self serve area. They serve Spaten beer here and their Maibock was really good. The food choice is good and I loved the food here. The ribs were really nice as was the Obatzda and Nürnberger sausages. I also tasted the steckerlfisch and it was delicious. They have live jazz band here and that was a welcome change to the normal Biergarten music. Loved the atmosphere, the food and the service. Look forward to my next visit. A gorgeous Biergarten in the outskirts of the city.
