The small chunks of steak was pretty tender. The dressing was tasty and properly seasoned. My only minor wish? The salad lettuce was made up of large, whole leaves and that made it hard to eat, especially on a plate and not in a large bowl. The Flammekuchen looked great and everyone loved theirs. The coworker sitting next to me had ordered the traditional one and said it was exactly what it should have been. I talked to the owner and chef, and most of their cakes (Sunday is their cake day) are from his mother and grandmother. His father, Walter, comes out every now and then and help him with serving. He enjoys a beer or two, talks to people, even to me who doesn't speak good German. When I told the chef about it, he was able to figure out why it was so horribly tasting and why they would use the cut of meat they used. There were a couple people sitting at the bar and 2 or three at some tables eating. The Guinness was at perfect temperature and went down VERY smooth!!! The Fish was a HUGE piece of Cod which was lightly battered and perfectly cooked... it was AWESOME!!
