Their premises are large and complicated - I think I got lost twice just trying to find the nurse's consulting room. They were very, very busy when I arrived - the staff at reception were doing a stirling job in trying to get through everyone and keeping people happy, but really there were far more people than they could cope with. Actually getting the vaccination was straightforward enough, but there was a certain amount of red tape, form-filling hoo ha surrounding it, which seemed a bit of a waste of time. They did give me lots of information on the countries we were visiting, however, which was good of them.

Obviously I would recommend him as I'm still alive. The only reason I changed was so that I could be registered at the same place as my wife and son. No other reason for the switch after all this time. Aside from the GP services, which you probably wouldn't use unless you lived very locally, this practise is also a centre where you can get immunisations and injections for overseas travel. On two occasions in the last 5 years I've needed shots to go to various places. Being quite useless at organising such things I had left it late (too late, according to a well-known High Street chemist, wrongly, as it turned out) and on both occasions the surgery were able to get me booked in and sorted out with the relevant drugs. So, even if you don't live in B44 it is worth bearing in mind for travel purposes.

The waiting area inside is spacious and pleasant, with comfortable chairs, the receptionists are polite and welcoming and medical staff have, in my experience, always held a good balance of friendliness and professionalism. A small off-road parking area is on-hand outside for those of you who drive (which is great, considering the fact the surgery is right off a busy roundabout!) and there is a wide range of informative leaflets and posters available in the waiting areas, some of which may be a little daunting for small children, but nevertheless useful and necessary for the environment. I'd definitely recommend this friendly practice to anyone seeking efficient, pleasant healthcare.

Their answer was:" according to our syste, you do not need it", Although, I have been taking this medicine for 15 years continuously!!!! I was asked by a Doctor to provide some samples, I handed them to the reception and when I asked about the results they said that the lap could not process them and the reason was that they were unlabelled!!! Although I asked them in the reception when I handed them out if everything is okay and they said yes. I had blood test at it, when I asked about the results they said leave a message and we are going to get back to you; and obviously, no one did. I tried to find the results on my NHS app but They had blocked my access to the recent result. I had a telephone appointment with the GP and asked for access for my medical records , he told me that I need to call the reception for that, when I called the reception, the receptionist told me that you have to call the GP for that reason!!! I told her that it is the GP who asked me to call you, she said I am going to ask the practice manager, and said that the practice manager told her that I need to call the NHS team, I asked me to speak to the practice manager she said that she is unable to take your call . I insisted on talking to the manager and she refused and hung up the phone!!! the worst Surgery ever .

I am a complete Osteopathy convert, I was recommended Solihull Ostepathic Practice about a year ago…read morebut as I lead an active lifestyle and I'm a regular gym goer, I didn't think it would be of benefit and the pains I suffered,I had pretty much accepted as what I had to deal with. On arrival you are greeted by the lovely receptionists. I have met Donna and Fiona both of which made me feel at ease straight away and also Monty is adorable! You feel relaxed very quickly. Well... after visiting now for 4 treatment sessions I have a new respect and understanding for my body and how it works. I see Jeremy who is extremely skilled at pinpointing what I would term "pain epicentres" managing to understand my rambled attempts at explaining where I feel the pain is coming from, then he is able through palpation, to find the exact trigger point. After living with knee pain since childhood, to finally understand where the pain is actually coming from ( Jeremy explained a misformation of my hip) this was clarity for the first time in my life regarding this issue, of which doctors had previously misdiagnosed. Tantamount to this I've received treatment by way of deep massage and manipulation for TMJ disorder and ongoing neck pain, as well as, calf and ankle treatment down to my toes! Ask plenty of questions when you visit you get many answers as to how your individual anatomy works and advice on the effects of stress, emotions, sleep patterns and even how the way we breathe effects our daily life! Treatment and instruction on at home daily exercises and breathing techniques has improved my overall health tremendously, I have recommended many friends and family to Solihull Osteopathic Practice of which many have booked appointments for their complaints. Iwould recommend them to anyone. I have literally been fixed head to toe!

They have always offered a well-priced, professional service and with practices at 4 locations Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Kings Heath & Monmouth, they have always been able to fit me in with relatively short notice, which is what you need cause let's face it who plans to hurt their back?? I have always booked with Andrew Leask who in my opinion is highly skilled and always tries to look for the bigger picture, the source of the problem. Rather than looking to just stop the pain he looks to what you can change yourself that might prevent such an injury from reoccurring. Andrew has been able to put right any injuries or back problems I have had on the first visit the majority of times and only on a couple of occasions when the swelling has been too bad / fresh for him to manipulate have I need to return for a second visit. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I don't think I've ever spent any longer than about 2 minutes in the surgery at a time, yet I have always felt listened to, taken seriously and medically sorted out - which, to be fair, is exactly what you want in a GP. Particularly the 'taken seriously' bit - I moved here as my previous GP seemed to find all my complaints highly amusing, I have no idea why. I was also able to see a doctor the morning after I registered, which was a bonus, as sometimes moving records across and what have you seems to take forever at some places. Not at River Brook, thank God, where they seem to have got sympathetic efficiency down to a fine art.

The studio is decorated with warm colours and fabrics to make you feel relaxed. Its not big but does have a small room to change, a toilet and small shop selling clothes, mats and relevant books. The class I go to is Hatha yoga which lasts for half and hour and is great for beginners and those with more experience of yoga and there are different levels to each exercise and Christa the teacher is friends and helpful and knows her stuff! It's not cheap (£10/15 per session, but cheaper packages are available I think if you book a group of classes in one go), but is worth it, as you feel relaxed, but also like you have done some exercise at the end-great for after work people!

However, a few house moves and different GPs later, I now appreciate them for the brilliant GPs that they are, and they are definitely worth the wait. They take the time to listen to you, take note of what you actually want, and seem to want what is best for you rather than to get you out of the door as fast as possible and get a fat salary. I guess this is why the appointment times over run! The surgery in Arley is a little outdated and could do with a revamp, but who cares when you get the medical help you need. In comparison, the other GP I was with has a nice complaint winging it's way to the nhs complaints team after I was told I was "a bit anal" for asking about nutrition advice, and being told you jump up and down after all the pills I take so he could hear me rattle!! So I've managed to get near enough to my old GPs and this time I really value them. I would strongly recommend them. They also dispense if you live in the village. They have their own free car park too.

Problem is getting in to see someone. The appointment system is ridiculous, to be honest. I'd registered for the online system when I first attended, then they changed systems and have asked me to go to the GP surgery with ID, which I now can't do due to COVID. You're told to call at 8am for an appointment, can't get through, and when you finally get through at 8:20 they're all gone. The admin team are hit and miss; some of them have really gone out of their way to help, but others have just been outright rude on the phone. If there was a closer surgery I'd go there - a great GP is only great when you can access them.
