I was there for only 10 mins to purchase a shirt but during that time I was followed and watched by 2 female workers and asked if I needed help 5 times while I was shopping. There were other customers in the store but the 2 workers kept watching me and following me around which made be feel extremely uncomfortable and anxious. This made the whole Zumiez shopping experience horrible because I was made to feel humiliated and self-conscious. If it wasn't for the shirt I originally came in to purchase, I would have left the store empty handed because the experience in the store was not welcoming for someone like me. read more

This is a great little skate/skater shop on the second floor of the bustling Bellevue Square mall. It's tucked in the middle of the mall around the corner from the MAC (makeup) store and near the new location of Victoria's Secret. They always seem to have a good selection of tees up front despite having a small physical footprint. They carry on-trend plaid button up shirts for guys and gals and plenty of cute street clothes and ski/snow appropriate clothing in the winter. I have purchased gifts here for friends several times in the past as they have one of the largest selections of Casual Industrees tees in the area. Go figure Zumiez is a Seattle-based company - they seem to have it figured out. Good customer service and great products - what's not to love? I guess my only suggestion for this store would be to move to a slightly larger space and expand inventory of clothing. Currently the racks are not designed to hold more than a few of each item but the buyer does a good job of selecting eye-catching merchandise. read more

Great customer service from everyone that was working the opening shift today (8/9/20). I'm usually hesitant to shop at some types of stores because in my own personal experience, the staff are usually young adult "kids" that tend to play around & aren't usually attentive or keen on customer service. That was not the case here! Everyone working were friendly, courteous & helpful. Extra shoutout to Mana who was so happy to help me with my roller skates. I've been looking for the right wheels I needed for a month, without success or finding anyone to help. Today I found a GEM, Mana, who was very friendly, upbeat & knowledgeable on the wheels I needed. She suggested bearings, which I'm glad I got because my skates roll way better with them. She got the wheels & bearings on the skates nicely for me. I am so thankful & appreciative! She even suggested spots to go skating at. Awesome customer service and cool products for snowboarding, skateboarding and everything in between! In general - I'm a fan of Zumiez because they have a great selection of brands I like, such as Casual Industries, Imperial Motion, Nixon, etc... At the Bell Square store in particular, the Casual Industries stock is solid...especially if you're a dude. I find that the men's clothing here is so much better than the women's, so I'm usually navigating my way through the entire store instead of just one side! What's nice about that too is there are smaller size in many of the men's brands I dig! It's worth checking out. In my most recent visit I came to get some snowboarding pants and one of the employees was super helpful in showing the different features of the pants, which made a difference in deciding which to get. Like in most visits here - customer service is fantastic! Overall, I'm a fan of Zumiez, and this Bellevue location has friendly employees who are always willing to help. read more

I went to this store today to get some skates. A woman named Emma helped me and she really went above and beyond. She was knowledgeable, helped me get different sizes and ultimately called another store for me to have a pair put on hold. I must say I rarely receive this level of service these days, especially in a franchise shop like Zumiez, so I was betting impressed and left the store in a good mood rather than frustrated. I love my local Zumiez! Staff here are incredibly nice with great customer service. I went in here the other day to get some new outfits. I'm pretty sure every employee suggested I try/look at something. I'm super picky with clothes, but I found a lot here. I even received a few compliments here and there, which always feels nice. One of the employees told me they receive new stock every day, so ask what came in! Their online store allows store pickup the same day (in about an hour its ready). I didn't find a shirt I wanted while I was there, so I utilized their website and BOOM, picked it up later that day. It was great. Zumiez has local clothing companies merchandise there too, which is awesome to see. They have a lot of various Seahawks, Sonics and Seattle skyline designs in stock. All in all, I will definitely be back here. read more

As far as Zumies go, this is a good one! The reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 is because there is not a lot that I want to buy for myself there in the area of tops and bottoms. Of course I can find plenty of beanies. ;) If your a dude - this store is awesome. My husband is 6'5" and super slim which makes it hard to find clothes that fit well. An employee, Jeff, was SUPER helpful & helped me with some stuff they carry for tall, thin dudes! I absolutely LOVE the Imaginary Foundation line that they carry, specifically the sublimation prints, bought some for my husband. I wished there were girls IF sublimation shirts. I went back the next day and had Jeff order a men's small sublimation print for me. Later on I looked online at the Imaginary Foundation site and found they do have a few options for girls in the sublimation prints. Awesome customer service! I will leave out the 6 week long background story, but there is a lot to the plates that attach bindings to a snowboard. Today I went into this store where I met the manager, Yoko, who was fantastic. They don't have their snow gear any longer, but she reached out to the manager at another store. The two of them worked back and forth to try to solve the problem for me. I can't attach my bindings yet, but I greatly appreciate the time and effort Yoko put in to trying to solve the problem! If their corporate HQ had put in this much effort the problem would have been solved long ago. read more

Despite the busy hustle and bustle of holiday shoppers in the mall, I made my way into Zumiez in search of a "cool" beanie for my boyfriend. I think they must have this kids all hyped up on energy drinks cuz everyone is super energetic and friendly. I think I had two guys helping me at one point pick out the perfect beanie. I even had one kid model it so I could envision what it would look like. All in all - great customer service. Thanks kids. Walked in yesterday looking for a specific item. The staff didn't even listen to what I wanted and told me to go next door to the Forever 21. I have never had a shopping experience that has left me feeling this judged and patronized in my life. As a long time customer, I'd like to say I won't ever be shopping with Zumiez again. For the most part, my experiences are pretty good with most of the staff, and generally the variety is pretty substantial, though my in-store experience today 6/13/18 was pretty unusual, one of the managers pretty much interrogated me for returning an odd future chain which wasn't extremely expensive but wasn't cheap either. So regardless of the cost and of the item itself, his attitude wasn't welcoming! To be honest I'm not expecting much of anything short of an "in store credit" but his remarks were loaded with accusations that he suspects me of "renting items" and returning them for new ones, now I explained to him that the color didn't match any of my other chains and that I was willing to take a loss if needed, I also made myself extremely clear that I don't do what he was accusing me of, without incident I was able to achieve my goal of returning the "unused" item!! And just for the record, when someone buys from your store often and keeps the items, you should probably investigate a little bit more instead of jumping to conclusions about the situation, I have worked in retail and I also do my best to accommodate customers, I honestly appreciate being taken care of this time! But I'm leaving word that I won't be back to do any type of business with the Bellevue location, and that I would rather purchase items form a different location or online! So if you ever run into this type of issue, just be aware that this might be the response from the management! Good luck! read more

I went into the store with a couple of my friends and we tried on these glasses because we thought they looked funny. We were laughing about them and taking pictures then continued to browse the store. After being whispered to by a woman working there a man began to talk to me and my friends about our personal lives (very inappropriate for an older man to do as we are teenagers). We then began to walk out of the store and the woman walked up to us and accused of stealing the glasses. We then showed her the glasses were on a shelf and she said to us in a very condescending manner "would it have been better for me to call security or for you to put them in the right spot". We then left the store and all the staff members said goodbye in the rudest way possible. We then went to pacsun and the staff was amazing, zumiez should take some notes. Unfortunately I didnt catch their names but the woman had large eyes and short lavender hair and the man had a hat and facial hair. Both were caucasian. read more

I have purchased my first and probably last item from Zumiez... I walked in to the store and this lady asked me what I'm looking for and I showed here the sweatshirt I was interested in, so she checked the store and couldn't find it in medium and she offered me to wear a blue version instead of red while I didn't like it she told me it looks amazing on me, I paid for it and went back home and after showing it to my family I regret of buying it, I returned the sweatshirt in a week but she was so mad and turned red and told me I cannot get refund because I don't have the receipt and their computer system is not that modern to print a new one based on the same credit card and info, She told me I HAD to give them my phone number after purchasing and it's my fault, I know how other store's systems working and I know she is lying, but the funny thing is that she told me SHE loose money if she accept the return! At the end she refused to accept the return and told me to do whatever I want to do !!! The sad part is that she is the manager of that store ! Please teach her how to treat your customers, this is so rude and disrespectful! One of the best retail encounters EVER! I've shopped at other zumiez before and so I wasn't expecting more than going in picking what I want and purchasing them. I went in just to buy a pair of boardshorts and a couple of T shirts... thats it. What I got was a friendly and warm hello and some awesome conversation and a hella input on what types of shirts and boardshorts that they recommended. I was also checking out some hats which they advised against, and thinking back on those hats I don't know what I was thinking! Ha! They were my personal shoppers. Broom next to me fell over, about to leave and says to pick up after myself, confused I asked her what I dropped and she said very rudely, "that broom you dropped" and continued to be super disrespectful even though it looked bad I promised her I didn't touch it and a customer would NEVER touch a broom for any reason. ERIC AT THE SKATE SHOP is incredible!! That dude's fervent passion for his craft and the people he helps exhibits the sense of seeing an old friend and catching up over boarding!! His positive and welcoming attitude draws people to his counter without feeling the pressure to purchase something! After 25 year hiatus from the sport, I'm getting back into skateboarding; but trying to do it as smoothly and gingerly as possible so as to not make it look blatantly obvious that I'm an old man trying to recapture or hold on to what's left of my youth!! I believe you're only as old as you feel, and honestly I feel and act about 20 but I'm actually 38! :-). With my confidence level far lower than where it was when I was in my 20s, meeting Eric today and the staff at Zumiez Bellevue really made me feel welcome! I suffer from PTSD and large crowds make me a little overwhelmed, but you guys were all so great; you could not have been more accommodating!! ERIC'S willingness to really listen to my design ideas for building my board, you could begin to see the wheels turning and his creative excitement really came out! It's pretty obvious that his interactions with people around him really affects his soul in a positive way! I walked in feeling like I didn't know my ass from a hole in the ground (ie: very little confidence), but I walked out floating on Cloud 9!! A level of confidence you feel when you know you've just made some good friends and getting exactly what you needed from your visit! I really look forward to the coming months working with Eric as we build boards and I learn to ride again!! If you're looking for a great experience shopping for skateboards or longboards with a consummate professional with expert knowledge and who's soul is clearly evident in both his 9-to-5 and the way he treats those around him; then ERIC is your guy!! Awful awful experience today. The staff is very rude. I wouldn't of spent money there if it wasn't for these shoes I really wanted. I bought them to find out they gave me two left shoes... I went back in to get a right one and they searched the whole store looking for it, and could not find it. They had tried to give me a refund, but I just found out they failed to, so I have to go back tomorrow to get my $70 back. There was this one girl who was nice and helpful, and kept me from losing my sh*t. Overall just a bad experience, I'm never going into that store again. The staff was very friendly, kyra specifically, assisted in creating a new fashion complex for my friend Gabriel. Previously, he had only worn cargo shorts and graphic tees from old navy and JC Penny, with the help of the staff, Gabriel may reach his full potential to slide into any girl's dms. Formerly, Gabe didn't realize how much his clothing affected the level of attraction other people felt toward him, after Kyra showed him that he didn't want no smoke, his traditional airhead personality was downplayed, revealing his ignorance of style. Changing Gabriel's outlook on what he wears has been something we have been trying to do for nearly 5 years, yet this day marks a new beginning, he shall rise from the ashes of cargo shorts and graphic tees, reaching his fully evolved state with the style of a Harvard dropout. He will now be getting face tats and becoming a soundcloud rapper with his first EP dropping next Saturday along with the SS19 ASSC drop. Very disappointed in this store, my 10 year old went with his 12 year old brother there and the sales person helped them putting a board together for 89.99 dollar, when my husband and I came he told us YES everything he had picked out is here in front of me and is together a package for 89.99. When we had to pay the other lady told him, no this is an expensive board the total will be 115 $. The boy who helped us even said he didn't know that. I called today the store manager and she keeps saying this is a miscommunication. No it is not, he told my sons and my husband and I that it was 89.99. The sales person is probably new but don't tell you customers that you are stupid, that is basically what she said when she was talking about the miscommunication. Very disappointed, we have great experience in Redmond and even at the outlet but will never return to this store !! read more

My nine-year-old just had to get a skateboard and of course, that meant his younger brother had to get one too. I asked my son's teacher how to select a board since I know absolutely nothing about the sport, and he recommended going to Zumiez, where they are skateboarding experts and will recommend the best board (and safety gear). So this evening, the grandparents took the boys to the Zumiez in downtown Bellevue where they had an amazing experience getting the right skateboard and safety gear. The store's skateboarding instructor did an amazing job with my boys, making sure that they had the right board for them, recommended the right safety gear, gave them an introductory lesson and really focused on safety (thank you!). My third grader came into the store wearing flip flops, and Erich made him promise never to wear flip flops while skateboarding. We were also told that we could call the store anytime we had any questions. My third grader left the store saying it had been an amazing experience. read more
