Tomahawk & T-Bone steaks. Delicious side salad.

Beautiful Restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. Steak was the best I've had in Kaiserslautern. Highly recommend.

Ribeye cooked to a perfect medium with garlic and herb compound butter.

I strongly recommend that you make a reservation, that said, we arrived at 5p and they were able to slide us in before another party with a 7p reservation. The service was attentive and timed well, they did not rush us but we respected that the table was reserved at 7 and didn't daudle. The dinner salad was really fresh and crisp, and the salad dressing was sublime. Then our Ribeyes arrived, were more than 2 inches thick and as big as a salad plate. The outside has a great crisp crust and our stakes were cooked to a perfect medium. This restaurant was the first one we had seen in the region that had a baked potato on the menu and it was a welcomed treat, that didn't disappoint, with butter and creme freiche. We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert but would bet that dessert is good there too.

First off I ate here twice and was excellent both times! Just check out the pictures of the different meats we ordered on the second visit. Tomahawk, T-Bone, and the Ox Steak were all cooked to perfection. Being that the tomahawk and ox were 1 kilo each and my T-bone was 700g I cant believe how they came out so perfect . That butter to top the meat was all it needed. Just typing this review is making my mouth water. The salad was also wonderful with the homemade dressing. Service was great as they took care of our table as if we were family. Beers refilled in a timely manner. Overall a must eat at for steaks!

Great for larger groups but I'd make a reservation. We went on a Thursday night with kids! Food was excellent with a nice variety of german specialties. I didn't realize they had a small order and large order until later but I'd defiantly go with a small or a VERY big appetite! The salmon was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. I found it not too noises which I appreciate. Staff was friendly and accommodation. A few things were slow -kids dessert. But still friendly.

    T-bone steak cooked medium well.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch with friendly service in a beautiful setting. English menus were available. The tomato soup is a must; best I've every had. My wife had a steak with onions and it was perfectly season and cooked. I had the "small pan" which was pork medallions in creamy mushroom sauce on a bed of spatzle, all covered in cheese and baked. It was one of the best dishes that I have had in Germany. The schnitzle dishes were average. The tiramisu had a nice presentation and was very tasty. Street parking is limited, but a parking garage is nearby. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Ended up going with the steak and it was good. Portions were pretty big so bring your appetite. Not sure who all knows about this place but they do reservations if you want to dine here. You will need to park nearby as it is on a main walking road in downtown. Overall, good place for a steak if you need that fix. Other menu items were average for the most part. Italian menu items are available.

The reason was fantastic, which is that he grills the steaks slow and low, some for five hours. He had some steaks in the works, so we could come in. Our group was five, including a child. We had three steaks. 1. Australian rump. 2. Australian rib eye. 3. Irish rib eye. Harry came over to the table about four times during our two hours there. He first introduced himself, then explained how he ended up in this business and where the steaks come from. He came over to check on how the meal was going. Just the absolute best steak dinner we / I have ever had. It cost a pretty penny, but I'm thrilled we did it. All three steaks prepared medium rare I would say. We had some starters, and only one side, which was sweet potato fries.

From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a great night out, and the staff keeps that energy going with attentive, genuinely friendly service. The star of the show is absolutely the steak. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully grilled, and served exactly at the temperature requested; it's the kind of quality you usually only find at high‑end steakhouses. The sides are just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chimichurri deserves its own shout‑out; it's bright, bold, and elevates everything it touches. Drinks are well‑crafted, portions are generous without being over the top, and the pacing of the meal feels thoughtful rather than rushed. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to a seriously good dinner. If you're anywhere near Kaiserslautern and craving a great steakhouse experience, Chacarero is absolutely worth the visit. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

WOW, the most tender and flavorful I've ever had, the blend of the herbed butter, sour cream and cheddar on the potato was stunning. My wife had the crispy sea bass with garlic truffle mashed potato's. The fish was perfectly cooked. It was nice and crispy, delicious flavor, mild and a little natural saltiness from the skin. The potato's were heavenly, so much flavor and silky smooth. Wine recommendations from our server were perfect. We finished dinner with cheesecake and apricot Scnapps. I heard that this restaurant wanted to fill that void and so I went. I was blown away by the interior. I loved the sophisticated ambiance and the spaces so conducive to enjoyable conversation as well as business discussions. This cool design sense extends even to the bathroom. Check it out yourself and you will see what I mean. The menu was clever and cool and well executed. I was impressed by how perfectly the steak was done - just right! The appetizers were extremely tasty. I cannot say enough about the octopus. Still thinking about it. The wine list blew me away - you have to see this monster menu to believe it. One has to ask for the wine menu just for the experience. Great selection at multiple price points. Something for everyone. The price point for food at this establishment is higher than you find in most of this town but I think its fair value - it is not a casual cheap diner. And that is perfectly fine. Great experience here, would gladly go back again and again
