Called last minute for dinner, spoke to the owner Harry. He said we could come in, but…read moretraditionally he asks customers to make reservations. The reason was fantastic, which is that he grills the steaks slow and low, some for five hours. He had some steaks in the works, so we could come in. Our group was five, including a child. We had three steaks. 1. Australian rump. 2. Australian rib eye. 3. Irish rib eye. Harry came over to the table about four times during our two hours there. He first introduced himself, then explained how he ended up in this business and where the steaks come from. He came over to check on how the meal was going. Just the absolute best steak dinner we / I have ever had. It cost a pretty penny, but I'm thrilled we did it. All three steaks prepared medium rare I would say. We had some starters, and only one side, which was sweet potato fries.

Chacarero Steakhouse delivers the kind of meal that makes you stop mid‑bite and say, "Okay... this…read moreis really good." From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a great night out, and the staff keeps that energy going with attentive, genuinely friendly service. The star of the show is absolutely the steak. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully grilled, and served exactly at the temperature requested; it's the kind of quality you usually only find at high‑end steakhouses. The sides are just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chimichurri deserves its own shout‑out; it's bright, bold, and elevates everything it touches. Drinks are well‑crafted, portions are generous without being over the top, and the pacing of the meal feels thoughtful rather than rushed. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to a seriously good dinner. If you're anywhere near Kaiserslautern and craving a great steakhouse experience, Chacarero is absolutely worth the visit. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Extremely cozy cafe local to Frankfurt, had a pleasant Sunday morning experience! Many might…read moredislike how small it is, but I found it quite accommodating, especially with a beautiful patio in a quiet, residential neighborhood of Frankfurt. The staff was extremely friendly. The barista was fluent in multiple languages, and was not off-put by using them. She very clearly knew what she was doing around coffee, which is always nice to see. The staff communicated very well overall, and added to the experience. The baked goods were clearly fresh; with all of the croissants I ate while in Germany, this was the best I could find! The beans they use had great flavor and made for a great cappuccino.

It took me a while to get here as I live pretty much on the very opposite side of the city, but I'm so glad I finally got to check it out (after so many raving reviews from fellow Frankfurters)! They have flawless customer service and the coffee is completely on-point. Their flat white is pure perfection and I can't wait to make it back to try some of their baked goods (and do some shopping). They offer two coffees- one of their own and one from Man Versus Machine, a Munich-based roastery (always subject to change so check oheim's Facebook page for details). Oheim is located on a peaceful street and has seating both inside and outside. It doesn't hold a great number of customers which adds to the quaint ambiance and allows the customers to interact with the staff. Nothing irks me than an overly packed place where you can't relax and have to wait thirty minutes for tables to be cleaned. This place is literally the polar opposite of that and feels like it could easily become my 'home away from home'. They also offer to-go coffee in environmentally friendly and sustainable cups. I'm not a huge fan of the term 'concept shop' because it can be so vague, but oheim is, to a degree, just that. You can buy some of the coolest goods here, from craft gin to laptop sleeves to specialty tea and accessories. I can't think of any other place in Frankfurt where you can sip on a smooth coffee and do a little shopping at the same time. They also offer specialty drinks for patrons who are not coffee enthusiasts. Owners Julia and Christian really offer a little slice of heaven in the often chaotic city of Frankfurt.

We chose the top floor which was all in gold. The room was very nice and the bed super comfy. We appreciated all the small extras they offer: like you can rent a bike or mini for a few hours for free, there was a Freitag bag in our room for our use while we stayed there. The staff was very friendly. At night we also checked our oost bar which we really enjoyed. Good drinks, as well as a great and inventive bar keeper.

It's one of the design hotels, and each room is different. The lobby was very fun with white penguin lamps with pink lampshades and other kitschy touches. Our room was all pink with portraits of dogs and dog pillows and was equally kitschy and fun. The bad thing was that you're supposed to declare whether you would like smoking or non-smoking room upon checking. We arrived around 11 or 12, but weren't able to do it early check in. They put us on the books and held our luggage, which we were grateful for, but we didn't know we needed to declare and they neglected to ask. As a result, when we returned from a long day of work followed by dinner, all of the rooms had been booked except for smoking rooms. We spent the night in our pink, dog-themed room smothered by smoke. We opened the window for the 3-4 hours before we went to sleep, but it made very little impact. It was, unfortunately, an unpleasant night. I don't understand why anyone would allow smoking in a hotel room because it embeds in everything: the walls, pillows, rugs, drapes, mattresses-- everything. Other than that, it was a very cute hotel and we would stay again as long as we could obtain a non-smoking room. Also they are famous for their Rolling Stones mouse urinals. So do try to check those out in the lobby if you have a moment.
